F in the chat for Illinois one. It was an amazing livery and I hope to see it carried onto the MAX 7.
Let's see it!
@@liamly6594 you know what is funny is that I am in Denver and I flow on Colorado one
@Southwest i love your flights so much! They are so smooth and cool, and the flight attendants are v ery nice. Thanks for your time!
Saw this aircraft yesterday, and it was going to be my flight, but my gate got changed at the last second sadly 😢, but I got one of Southwest's other special planes back home. I have to say that Southwest is the best airline to fly in the US. Keep it up!
Good eye! Boeing produced the video and used some stock b-roll in the beginning. The LUV-jet at the end is ours though!!
ThT is a beautiful plane even though it was 13 years ago it is still beautiful great job on the airplane
I flew on that plane it was very nice as always southwest you did a great job on it ✈️🛫🛬🛩
I just flew home on this plane a couple days ago from Providence to Baltimore
Hey guys living near Chicago for 40 years & using you guys for 15 of these years when needed was always a great experience. Was glad to go out of Midway as it's a much easier airport in Chicago to get out of.
I have so much respect for Boeing because they keep work in the US and aren't jumping on the outsource bandwagon. American based companies are moving more and more jobs overseas. We should all support companies that keep jobs in our great nation. Boeing is the best
Southwest Illinois one is now a 737-800
@NutsAboutSouthwest oh yeah!I have ridden on the Illinois One before it was awesome. But my parents didn't realize how special it was
I hope I can catch this on my MDW-LAS flight and/or return in August
Flying PHX-LAS in the summer! Gotta hope I'll have this aircraft!
Thanks Lee!
@southwestairlines can you do a reupload for the video and make the quality to 1080p please
Approximately 2 inches per minute.
Boeing 737s are assembled at the Boeing plant in Renton, WA. The moving 737 assembly line in Renton replaced three separate non-moving 737 production lines. The single moving line is more efficient, and allows aircraft to be completed up to 50 percent faster.
The much newer moving assembly line at the Boeing wide-body plant in Everett, WA moves at about 1.8 inches per minute. Its used only during the final assembly stages (seats, etc) of the Boeing 777.
Southwest, you are A-1 with me! I'm on your aircraft these days weekly and am looking forward to seeing Illinois One serving my flight from Midway to Philly or back soon!
can wait to see the 737 max 7 state liveries soon!
I like it. And Southwest has paint jobs for the states that they have bases in. Lonestar - HOU and DAL, Airzona - PHX, California - OAK, Nevada - LAS, Maryland - BWI, and now Illinois - MDW. Also have NBA, Silver, Triple Crow, and the White one.
Great video! Awesome paint job.
It looks awesome
Beautiful!!
OK... I'll take your vote straight to the boss! Have a good one, and if we end up with one I expect to see you buy a ticket for the first flight!
Guess what!! I am 100% in love with Southwest!!! Besides all the specialty planes like Penguin one and Lone star, the only other plane that's flying is Canyon blue. I always thought Southwest could use another design, so I spent months drawing until I finally made a good one. So I'm just recommending you ask someone about it. I would love for my design to be added to Southwest Airlines aircraft fleet!!!!!
It's amazing how they put these birds together.
Using only one kind of plane has made SWA very successful, we'll NEVER use AirBus!
Best looking plane ever.
Who comes up with the wild paint schemes for its aircraft? Artists, Southwest personnel, or Boeing's paint department?
This thing looks badass!!
standarization...is what every fleet is looking for....and the best way to standarize everything....is one type of aircraft
ALL RIGHT!
Not far from the Boeing plant is Renton Municipal Airport. I wonder if Boeing still uses it for 737 flight testing.
boieng is so good at what they do!
@adw28productions Southwest also sticks with Boeings because when the airline was first introduced, airbus did not have any aircraft that would fit their needs. The Boeing 727 fit. Eventually, the 727's were replaced with the Boeing 737 because the 737 and the 727 have very similar cockpits and operations. The southwest fleet is now mainly 737's to keep the cost of training and maintenance down
Generally it takes 3-4 weeks depending on options, paint jobs, and supply.
Ta=hat's what I call a colorful paintjob! Nice upload!
The state of Illinois
AHHHH THEY DID IT!!!!
That's cool. I live in Chicago.
beautifullllll !
WOW!!!
they should make a:
florida one
michigan one
vermont one
washington one
washington DC one(with pics of like the mall, wash. monument, white house, etc)
oregon one
and eventually have 1 4 each of the 50 states
AHA! We have!
Chicago being the capitol of Illinois should have its own airplane... I just wish the city had an airport to land that baby at.
Also, anyone from Illinois should pay only $1 to fly on it...except for those from Chicago...it should be free for them.
Sad to hear the plane livery is gone now….but I heard rumor this livery and some others will be back on the MAX 7.
great looking plane
320 kmh IAS Thats about 400-450 MPH Ground Speed depending on the altitude.
You gotta be good to work at those speeds.
Boeing and Airbus are both good, but Boeing is my favorite. Southwest Airlines's Boeing 737's are the best ones.
@JohnRhysMusician, does Southwest serve DFW in addition to DAL?
This is cool
Really cool, just twittered about it :-)
I'm confused. In the beginning, they are showing a 737/800...
@checkerace50 They are also going to keep the 717s that Airtran flew, according to a SWA captain that I know.
now that is just SICK!
and Tony they don't even use other boeing jets, there all 737's some older then others. and i got nothing against airbus. i think boeing look better, but airbus's are more comforable to fly in.
and they should def. make a Florida 1
SWA FTW!
Music City One... I kind of like the sound of that! Or Volunteer One???
Southwest Airlines i❤️u guys u guys are awesome and i do not enjoy flying any other airline but yours have a great day!!
Those are really good ideas! I might have to try and make a drawing of one! My small little group of friends made made a few once
i wounder how long it took to build that?
I have fueled that aircraft!
What song is this? My son loves it!
Good one!
Why are planes painted white before other colors like the blue on the Heart livery.
Wow cool a Illinois one. This is from 2008 so I wonder if the plane is still in service. But still cool!
In 2014 I flew to Orlando to come back from a trip and I was in a Illinois One plane, so yes the Illinois One livery is still in service, but the only difference is that they are going to change the tails because of the new 2015 Southwest livery, so the tails are the only difference.
I would of loved to fly on the Illinois one..when I flew to San Diego a month ago I was filming on the plane and I zoomed in on one by the runway that looked like the Illinois one. It was just a little bit of it I caught on tape. I record take off's and landings.
What cream parts exactly are you referring to?
They should make a Long Island One!
you guys should make a Oregon One
I think I may have flown on that exact aircraft
@homestopper So you went to the factory too? Cool bro.
@adw28productions sooo jetblue flies only in america and they have airbus a320's
nice
Santanamets57, they wouldn't do that because buying only one airplane keeps maintenance costs down.
💎💎
if this is the only one... i saw this at KBHM epic
Umm no... they also have Lone Star One, California One, Slam Dunk One, Maryland One, Silver One etc, etc... fits with the theme they already have going.
@NutsAboutSouthwest Music City One cause 1) I'm a vandy fan and 2)The Vols are in Knoxville
nice looking plane i wounder how much a piant job like that would be?
blackpearl999999 well, people like me 10 years in the future still don't know.😂
they should do a "America One" with like the flag and a bald eagle
will southwest ever get larger planes like a 747?
ryan0157 to answer your question 7 years later, no. The biggest plane they have is a 737-800max
How bout a Tennessee One the B Terminal has 21 gates (all the gates in B Terminal) for Southwest
What's the song called?😁
I think about 6-8 days
Please repaint this livery on N957WN
they should make a connecticut one
does anyone know what the cream parts are under the window frame at 0:38 are??
BMIfanatic Probably insulation to block off most of the outside noise!
Wisconsin One please!
You should make Volunteer One ! music city is a big southwest hub, concourse C is owned by southwest cauz' american only got 4 or 5 gates out of c. anyway.1.tennesee rules.2.vols rule.3.we luv southwest.you should make it
i always don't get how they paint it...
they paint some colour first, and then put some kind of paper stuff and then paint more colour, then u unwrap somestuff....
why is it a 737 800?
Shiny.
I SEEN THAT PLANE
Okay, so what do you want me to do?
@ryan0157 If you look back i answered your question completely.
Paint took longer than it took to put together the aircraft haha!
@ryan0157 southwest only will have the 737 for a few years. BUT, now not only do they fly 737-300 737-500 and 737-700, with the price that came from purchasing airtran, now they will fly 737-800. they are trying to also buy out fronteir and everyone said yes except for the pilots from fronteir because in the airline business, everything goes by seniority and when you get bought by a new company, your seniority is at the bottom of the foodchain no matter how long u worked for the other airline
Illinois One has officially returned, but this time on N8619F, a 737-800. It becomes the third 737-800 with a special livery. The first being Freedom One (N500WR), the second being the second coming of Tennessee One (N8620H).
N918WN, the 737-700 that was in the Illinois One livery, was returned to the lessor and repainted white in 2020. It then sat in the SoCal Logistics Airport in Victorville throughout 2021, and was later bought by Avelo Airlines (and re-registered as N707VL) in 2022.
Now we just wait for the second coming of Nevada One.
