Amazing video! It's so great that you share your love for water. Swimming is such an amazing sport and it's lovely to see you enjoy it, keep going with these great videos. If it doesn't bother you, I'd like to give you a suggestion, a tip for the next videos: Basically, you could try inserting some comic and funny stuff... to give everyone a pinch of humor that, in the world of swimming, can never be missing. Now, I don't think much of it, but the first thing I could think of in your sport might be peeing in the water. Once, my uncle, who is a scuba diver, peed in his wetsuit during a long diving session and that moment was absolutely funny, he even wrote "I’m peeing" on a waterproof notebook during the session. He has always been telling me that there are 2 types of divers and swimmers: those who pee in the water and those who lie. I know it may sound strange as a request but, in my opinion, these are moments of happiness and carefree that always make everyone smile. I hope you like the idea and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Well done Jamie, a nice honest assessment. It's so hard to get back up racing again so close to trials. Have a decent a break and you'll be back stronger next year!!

This is great! Thank you so much for your detailed insights.
Question: How do you measure your 10m splits? Say you are measuring the time taken to swim 15m to 25m. Do you start the time the moment your head just reaches the 15m mark or the moment your arm just reaches the 15m mark? Do you then stop the time(stopwatch) the moment your head just reaches the 25m mark or the moment your arm just reaches the 25m mark?

      Thanks a lot
All my timings are done to the head crossing the mark, to keep it as consistent as possible. Except for the 50s which are either to feet touching (free or back turns) or to hand touching (everything else!)

@@IngramSwimming Don't understand, sorry. I am talking about the 50m sprints (fly/free/back/breast) in particular. What do you mean by hand touching and feet touching in the 50s?
Please explain in some detail; these splits of yours are of immense value as they would help me to better understand stroke dynamics of elite swimmers.

@@Somendra_Kharola okay, so when I’m doing the splits I start the timing when the starter signal goes, then record the time when the head crosses 15/25/35m. This is to help the consistency across races as some races your hands could be in different places. However at the end of the race I stop the timer when the hand touches the wall. If the race is longer than 50m I’ll stop it when the timing pad would register the end, so either the hand touching for fly and breast, or the feet touching the pad on the back and free.
      Hope that makes sense!
