The people who cruise know return to the ship before the published time. These people tried to save some money by going with the private tour, it is on their own. What about few thousands other passengers who returned to the ship on time? When you make exceptions, you actually cost the cruise line extra money to stay in port longer - cruise line had to pay extra fee for port if they stay longer.
This should not be a discussion, I don’t think these late return passengers will ever be late again if they go on another cruise. They are in the WRONG,

A plane isn't going to turn around and go back for anyone why would a cruise ship be expected to??? if your friends and family are late getting back to a cruise ship YOU GET OFF. Right!!?!? The way he kept pushing that was really weird. I feel like most people agreed with the guest and the cruise line that those passengers were to blame for being dumb late. And then to ask about a possible lawsuit 😂

The cruise ship have a tight schedule 📅 . They have a departure time and if you are late they will still leave on schedule
If you're an hour late coming back to the ship what do you expect ? Rules are rules. Planes don't wait and either should ships.

I'm pretty sure the ship tells you there's a certain time that you have to be back by to ensure that you're not late.
Regardless of whether or not they pay for a private Excursion they also know that passengers have to be back by a certain time otherwise they're going to get left.
Apparently they tried to test the 1 to 2 our lead time that you need to get back on the ship and we're wrong.
It's called personal responsibility.
They apparently thought the rules didn't apply to them

Cruise ship passengers are the only ones to blame. Old, pregnant or any other reason, they know when the ship departs and it’s their responsibility to be back onboard on time. They’re lucky to get reimbursed especially considering that their port of call excursion wasn’t booked or sponsored by the cruise line. I wonder if they ever got off the ship at any other ports of call. It was definitely a vacation they’ll never forget.
Their fault they missed the ship, yet they still get reimbursed...

A liner is at the mercy of tides, and port clearance, same as planes are controlled by weather and flight clearance, they cannot change their departure times as the next liner is on its way in, and tug boats are by appointment. You are warned to be back well in time, they also provide tours that are on routes that will return passengers on time, with staff that are and are kept aware of any events that could cause late returns. It is run like clockwork. If you choose to go outside of these guidelines, and want to go to areas that cannot guarantee a punctual return, or go for a cheaper alternative, accept the consequences. Three to four thousand passengers managed to get back in time, why should their holiday itinerary be put at risk because of the entitlement of a few?

I'm not in California but my company has a written policy where if you are contacted after hours, you are paid for 4 hours of work, no matter if you work for 10 mins or 4 hours. Anything over 4 hours worked is double pay. I'm the assistant to the operations manager. He is one of a lot of older people working the company who just don't get how things have moved on with technology these days. At least twice a week my boss will call me, to place a food order, to have it door dashed to his office. So I end up getting paid for 10 minutes of ordering online, what he could do himself but refuses to learn. Costs the company about $500 extra dollars a week, for about $50 worth of food. I try to explain this, at this point I believe he'd rather just lose money than learn to use something new but his loss.
Sounds like the U.S administration's outdated view and policy on Isfailed and the Middle East at large.

This is NOT 1979 = you running across the tarmac to board your aircraft, when you were clearly corked. Those days are long gone, drunks and tardy boarding passengers could pass out on the floor of the aircraft, after holding up the plane from departing.

Trying to understand why Israel would intentionally target aide workers, but as suggested, this seems to be deliberate targeting with over 200 aide workers killed since the start of the war. One theory would be that they're trying to prevent aide from entering Gaza for ethnic cleansing purposes. Another theory would be they're totally incompetent and just shooting at anything that moves.

It is a bit disingenuous to claim at 21:14 that "studies suggest migrants do not commit crimes at greater rates than US citizens" because Trump is obviously talking only about undocumented "illegal" immigrants who obviously do commit crimes at a much higher rate since they all have at least committed one by not entering properly as a legal migrant. Comparing the crime rates of legal migrants to US citizens is completely unrelated to why people are upset about the border because of course those we knowingly allowed in after background checks and them following the law are likely to continue to obey laws after that as well. Those studies (on just legal migrants or including them) are not relevant to Trump's claims that only the illegal immigration should be stopped to reduce crime rates.
Illegal immigrants are less likely to commit crimes once in the country because they don’t want to get caught and deported, so yes they are less likely, and I do not agree with the border situation. I think if they cross illegally should be immediately deported but there was a bipartisan bill that didn’t pass due to Trump supporters so can’t blame democrats. They didn’t tank the bipartisan bill.
