    and James J. Hill, a Canadian from Guelph Ontario, was the builder of the Great Northern Railway.....amazing that Van Horn, an American, built the Canadian Pacific, and James Hill, a Canadian, built the Great Northern Railway in the US

    the Canadian Pacific operated "The Canadian", which still operates today under Via Rail Canada, the only all stainless steel domed streamliner still operating in North America still to this day

      We got to visit the tunnel portals and other notable locations, but we just didnt have luck of filming a train through there. Definitely gotta make a return!

    the Canadian Pacific is an amazing company, from trains, ocean liners, and Canadian Pacifc Airlines......its definitely dynamic in every endeavor they do, and its amazing to be the only railroad to operate from Canada all the way to Mexico.....they know how to run a railroad without a doubt

    Oh no you didn't further east to Calgary? :) I live n Calgary and this video was excellent to watch you did miss some areas but it's worth doing another video in the mountains as you said :) for train watchers is worth the trip up here to Western Canada
    Keep up with great videos! :)

      We stayed in Calgary a few days of the trip. Highly recommend you check out of video of the Alberta Prairie where we explore Calgary a bit at the HQ. We hope to make a return trip to document moving trains in many of the areas we missed. Thanks for watching!

      @@LouisianaRailProductions I can only imagine. That is what I have shared with people about visiting the Grand Canyon, pictures do not show the real view. Until you stand on the rim and look across it, you cannot fathom the real view. Your video is great, but I certainly understand what you are saying. On my bucket list. Once again, thanks for sharing.

    It's mind-blowing how much CP now owns. All of KCS, INCLUDING The Panama Canal Railway and of course everything that the CPR has. Stretching over four countries. Not three like most think.

    • @LouisianaRailProductions

    Excellent video, very well done. Two things that I found a bit strange: “Trans-con “ is a term not used to describe the transcontinental railways of Canada. We Canadians think of the BNSF when we hear that. Also, Highway 1 is not the “Trans.” The proper and always used name is the “Trans-Canada” or its highway number. The “Trans-Canada” has several routes in Canada with differing highway numbers. Great video and I will watch for more on your channel.

    • @LouisianaRailProductions
      @LouisianaRailProductions  Місяць тому +3

      Ahh my mistake. Heard a Canadian railroader refer the route as the Transcon and I just rolled with it. Appreciate the correction on the highways well. I’ll get it right next time haha!
