Was eating at a restaurant in the Ala Moana back in 2018 when who should sit down at the next table but Al, his wife, Kris Kristofferson and his wife. Made it a point to shake his hand and thank him for all the fun, entertainment and good feelings he gave me and my family for so many years. They all smiled as we shook hands. No selfies, no autographs, just a brief visit. So glad I could do that.
"No Bottles, No Cans, No People". Al Harrington appeared in five episodes throughout the first four Hawaii Five-0 seasons. in four of them he played criminals. The he joined 5-0 as detective Ben Kokua. I liked that character. He left in the 7th season and appeared only in a few of that season's episodes, replaced by Douglas Mossman. RIP Al Harrington, you gave us some unforgettable moments
@@bretstanley8931 From a reliable source, he just left. There was no reason given, but it was on good terms and nothing to do with Jack not liking him. Al spoke highly of Jack when questioned about him. {Suggestion: Join FB Page Hawaii Five-0 1968-1980. Be there, Aloha.}
I didn't know Al had passed until a while after, was very sad to hear. Even though he wasn't one of the original Five-O team, he actually started out in some of the early episodes playing heavies, as shown in the first clip, he did a great job as Ben. Sad now all the cast is gone. R.I.P. Al.

Very cool!
I saw Al June 1988 performing in the lobby of my Hawaii hotel. He sang a song "Chop Suey" as I recall.

Nice writeup.🤙
It was never explained in the series why Chin Ho Kelly had an Irish last name? Guess we'll never know why.
I really liked Al's character Ben Kokua! I wish he would have remained on the show!
You and me both.🤙
@@JLFan100 I don't know if Jack Lord didn't like him or what. Did you ever hear why he left?

Rest In Peace ❤ we love you 😢
Al would have been an NFL star.

It is very sad that in this scene Al Harrington left his DNA all over (such as a fire arm, dragging a dead person into a dumpster just to mention a few) and if this was reality, he would definitely go to Oahu State Prison.

Why did they always say "brudder?"
Hawaiian slang for brother.
Thanks!

If you count Sharon Farrell who played Detective Lori Wilson in Season 12 then not all of them are gone.
@@AR15fanSharon recently passed this year. So now everyone’s gone now. 😔
@@megamanj2004X Yeah that truly is sad.
Was also in the new version as well
