  • This video compares the output and runtime characteristics of the REIN 3.0 Fullsize and Micro. After almost exactly 3 minutes of run-time for each, restarting the Micro several times, the final resting voltage of the Vapcell M11 V2 in the Micro was 3.97v unloaded, and the Molicel P30B in the Fullsize was 4.11v unloaded. This equates to roughly 25% and 10% capacity loss, respectively over a 3 minute timeframe. The reason this does not "add up" to the proscribed run-time data of Cloud Defensive, is the lights were run "full throttle" whereas if allowed to simply run, they would have regulated down and consumed far less power during the remaining runtime.
As a further comparison, I placed the fullsize head on the micro body, and compared it to another micro. The fullsize performed the same as it did with the P30B on the large body. The quicker de-rate of the micro is due to saving battery and not heat. This is why a quick re-set works so well with it.

Love your videos man. Just bought a mirco rein 3.0. Does it seem to keep full power at least 30 seconds or so?

Thanks for the comparo. It's been awhile since I looked batteries up, but I take it the Molicel's tested better than Samsung's 20S?

The P30B is the best high drain cell currently available. Below about 5W, things get pretty tightly comparable.

@@UnobtaniumsQuickReviews Appreciate the response man. Are these tests published anywhere online?

@@shootinbruin3614 Yes, they are performed by a gentleman who uses "Mooch" as an online handle, and primarily does work within the vape community. His testing data is superlative. This is a link to get you started:

@@UnobtaniumsQuickReviews Nice! Mooch brought me to the 20S a few years back when I was actively researching batteries. I stopped following him as much since buying my batteries, but I learned a lot from him before making my purchase.
I binged his and your UA-cam channels when I first got into this. Thanks man! Appreciate you taking the time to reply.
P.S. I emailed Modlite a few years back, and was told that their lights aren't direct drive and therefore don't benefit from cells rated for higher current than the ones that come with the lights. Cloud (at least at the time) said their lights can see increases in output with batteries up to 30A. Just my little contribution in case you didn't know already. Thanks again!
