Not giving water to Jar-Jar almost adds to the Darth Jarr-Jar theory.

Nice, there were some new ones on me in there! A small correction: that wire attached to Kenobi’s light sabre in the original fight was for a motor; they tried a few different methods throughout the first movie, but in this shot they spun the blade and the light is coming from behind the camera, reflecting off it makes it appear to be lit.
As an aside, and because I’m bored and have the free time, here’s all I recall about the original light sabre blade effects :
They reflected the light that well by using a special highly reflective tape, which at the time was normally only reserved for use in front projection trick shots where a pre-filmed scene would appear behind the foreground actors by projecting it from the same angle as the camera filming it. Here it was simply reflecting a bright white point of light placed directly behind the camera lens, making it appear to glow in-camera.
In the shot where we see Luke trying it for the first time, they stuck it onto a flat blade (the use of a practical blade is why the shot jumps a little as he switches it on, they had everyone freeze, a stage hand attached the blade to the hilt, then continued the scene, after cutting out the middle part it appeared to ‘magically’ turn on), but having noticed that this produced highly uneven lighting as the blade moved around, on the ship they tried a combo of a round stick, or using no on set blade at all and adding it in later by hand, which meant a blade could be seen to extend or retract without a cut but also made life very hard for the animator trying to imagine where the blade should be, which was highly evident in the original film seen in cinemas, before all the remasters.
For the final boss battle fight they tried a ‘stretched 3 sided pyramid’ shape which spun, for 2 reasons, one they needed them to hit each other without bending too much or breaking, and two, the shape and the spinning meant a more even fatter light along the entire blade from base to tip at any angle, due to how the light played along the sides as it span, even when it was not entirely centred in the shot, which was much needed for a fight scene with two blades at either side of the screen.
It also gave them a natural ‘fizz’ which, in combination with the later added colouring, that vibrates frame to frame due to being hand animated, then became the preferred look for the whole franchise, as it particularly suited the concept of a ‘laser sword’ by making it appear more volatile and ’alive’ than a still blade, and with the added sound effects it all finally came together.
As mentioned in post production they were added to with hand animated coloured glows drawn over the original practical blades by matching them to the rear lit reflective glows, but full screen flashes were added in too (matched with sound effects) each time they touched to give them a much needed sense of ’dangerous power’, and now of course with all the CGI replacements this gives a much more consistent look over all the movies, but originally how the blades first appeared pretty radically altered shot to shot as the effects team tried to pin down the best way to achieve the desired effect, and even now you can still tell that the first blade seen is distinctly flatter than all the rest of the shots.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

In Empire Han never had a jacket on in the freezing chamber. The close ups have his shirt in shadow making it look much darker. My friend and I analyzed this over and over back in the 90s. I haven’t compared the remastered version, but if it was digitally lightened up it was to avoid confusion that people thought he was wearing a jacket.

During the Bespin when Luke hits Vader and sparks fly from his shoulders, if you slow it down you see he hit him straight in the neck.
A few seconds later when Vader cuts down those antennas they clearly used a shorter stick for the lightsaber blade to "go through" the antenass, but th4 VFX crew only rotoscoped the short stick and didn't extend it so that it appears that the saber reaches the antennas.

at 17:37 the second lightsaber on Darth Vader's belt was explained in the book as Luke's lightsaber...While hiding from Vader, Luke rolled his saber out on the floor before saying "I will not fight your" and Vader picked it up and after the sister comment, Luke used the force to grab his lightsaber before attacking Vader

I wouldn't call Leia knowing her mother was a kind and caring woman a continuity error, as she's given to Bail Organa, someone who personally knew Padme and the kind of character she was, as shown in Kenobi little Leia ain't dumb she probably figured out she was at the very least adopted and asked about her parents, Anakin most likely left a sore spot with Bail on account of him murdering the Jedi and causing Padme's death so never spoke about him, whereas why wouldn't he talk about his friend to his friend's biological daughter?

The AT-AT's are not a mistake. The AT-ST's, just like real ground troops protecting armor, are there to protect the flanks. And yes I do know tanks have turrets but, yes, ground troops are deployed to protect armor. If there is a mistake, it was the Imp's in there arrogance, not deploying airpower.
