Not bad Melinda. It really depends on what you want your scooter to do. The higher RPM springs are going to make your clutch engage later. It takes more pressure to push out. If your happy with your originals, why change?
Thanks Omar, as far as the clutch, I didn't do a before and after but it didn't add any speed. The springs make my bike shift into "2nd gear" around 38mph, when before it was much earlier.

Excellent detailed video! Made my job so much easier. Had a little difficulty with the spring but all in all the job was done well. I also added an AC CPI I computer as well. Now I’m having an issue with the RPMs. I turn the throttle to go and the RPMs go into and stay in the red until I let the throttle go. What did I do wrong?!! I could really use some opinions at this point as I don’t want to blow the engine! Please help me! Thanks again.
No, that is a way to make 11g roller in the variator. As long as they were staggered. example: 1 10g, 1 12g, 1 10g, and so on. You will be a mechanic before long...lol.
I'm curious. I noticed your 2000RPM spring has seven coils. The product listing shows five coils. I've read that the shorter five coil springs are for 50cc to 80cc while the seven coils are for 125cc to 180cc. Most of the springs I'm finding online have the five coils, though.
Haha okay, just wanted to make sure I get the right springs. I read that some people have noticed top end changes and some noticed torque changes. But, what I've found is that the longer seven coil springs have more compression, being for the 125cc to 180cc. I'm wondering if some merchants are just using stock images or people buying the wrong spring size. I'll see what I can find.
@@XSevenSonata Bro, it absolutely makes sense. That is crazy that I didn't even notice, and just trusted the color. Now you got me thinking, I will check my older spring and update you what I find.
Okay I give up lol. The only thing I could find from forums is that the wrong size can be used just fine, but, the results may be different. So a "50cc" 1500 for example gives a different result than a "150cc" 1500 depending on what it's being used on. You may find better results, but, that's all I can find is that the seven coil springs have a slightly higher compression. I still plan on playing around with the transmission, though. But, that's a puzzle.
Okay. So what I found. The longer coil main spring (usually seven coils) is for 125cc - 180cc, the shorter spring (usually five coils) is for 50cc - 100cc. Both sizes apparently fit and useable, but, the longer coil spring will be more difficult to compress in a 50cc - 100cc because they have a small clutch. Longer spring has more compression. Aside from that, though. Results will vary if using a different spring size. A short spring shouldn't effect top end as much as a longer spring is being used in a 150cc considering less compression, however, it may not affect low end much, either. That's all I could find. Some merchants seem to be using stock images and showing the wrong spring size, so, I've just been checking with them to be sure before ordering. Unfortunately, they're out of stock and I have to wait. My plan is a stiffer spring and heavier weights to compensate. But, I wonder if that will cancel it out? I mean. Let's say for example. If I want more low end and use heavier weights with a stiffer spring to compensate top end loss, will the heavier weights basically reduce the low end from the stiffer springs so that theres no point in using stiffer springs?
I have a GY6 QMB139, it starts but won't move. One of the springs on my clutch is broken. Would one broken spring really cause it to not move or do you think it's another issue? I don't know whether to get new clutch or look else whether for the problem. Motorcycle starts and idles normally, just won't move motorycycle.
Any damage to your clutch and it needs to be replaced. It will just get worst from here if not replaced. Does the engine rev. high like normal when twisting the throttle?
@@kachiskid Yeah, it revs like normal. Adjusting the the idle speed works like normal and changes the rev speed as well. I'm going to order a new clutch now, thank you for your input.
Hey buddy, have been low on upgrade funds as of late so rather than purchasing an entire new clutch like I wanted, I purchased and installed a complete set of Glixal red 2000rpm springs on my stock clutch last night. I’ve only street-tested it for about half an hour last night but I’m experiencing jerking or surges (unsure of the correct term) during initial takeoff from 0 to say 5 or 10 mph. For example pulling out onto a street from a parking lot it starts smooth for a second then mid turn jerks or wants to take off and is pretty scary as any type of speed increase in mid turn can be dangerous (3 wreck track record lol). Thanks for any advice you or anyone else can offer.
@@Roland-Henry darn brother, that's not good... I assume the clutches are the same but I don't really know there's something special with that clutch that I have. You didn't have a problem getting the little springs set? Hearing any weird noises coming from the clutch?
Kachi's Kid yeah was a pain in the @$$! But finally got them set without taking off that top plate with the 3 little c-clips I don’t have nay doubts on the install. Just wondering what could be wrong I’m guessing something with the clutch itself, obviously not the springs. Will keep searching and trying things brotha that’s all we can do sometimes with these. Most times.
I noticed more and more over time when I remove the clutch to swap springs, It's been more difficult to put the nut back on. I'm thinking the threads are stripped. I ordered a replacement, hopefully that works. I can't get the nut on at the moment even with no contra. Weird.
@@XSevenSonata How many times have you swapped out the spring? I really don't think they are made to keep taking off. Do you have the upgraded clutch or the stock?
Upgraded and stock clutch. I did try the stock just in case. But, I figured with the nut actually threading onto the pulley shaft and not the clutch, it might not have helped to try the stock. It didn't, though. Then I tries stock spring for less tension. That didnt help, but, again, even with no spring, the nut just won't seem to go on the pulley shaft. It just keeps spinning around. I've swapped springs maybe about five times trying to find which is best for me. The 2000 was nice, but, unfortunately I ride on streets that need more top end, so, that's when I decided to go with a lighter spring.

Plus I'm over here helping others!!! I'm about to build a pocket bike that hits 45 or 50mph. You don't have to like it but my people love it!
Kachi's Kid a long time ago I used to make videos here on gamings so I c where u r coming from. Original content to share to Utube to attract subscribers n audience... way to go! I like stocks because stocks is more effective than after market. Example of the a stock long pipe exhaust on a GY6 150cc scooter. It lasts longer than any after market u would buy. Some after market would have poor design for u to modified, weak metal brackets, etc...
Agreed! But in the same time you won't really know if you don't try, right? Plus the fact that the original parts are Chinese and sometimes can be garbage too. For example, we both know my stater clutch went way to early, that is when we 1st started chatting. No way anyone is gonna tell me that their Chinese engine is better than my Taiwanese Tadia engine. Parts are to reasonable also, it's a TRAP...lol.
Lol I own the same kobalt impact
Mine is Milwaukee, and that big electric sucker is a Hammerhead name-brand. Kobalt makes some good tools too.
@@kachiskid oh lol the one you use @3:45 looks very similar to my kobalt
HEY YE ALL BITCHZ NOW TELL ME KNOW WHICH SPRING MAKE MY SCOOTA RUN FASTER 2000RPM OR HIGHER THE NUMBER LIKE 5000RPM ??? ALSO WHICH ONE IS SOFTER ?????
1000, 1500, 2000rpm springs. I have never heard of a 5000. The lower the number the softer they are. Not really a help on speed, just when your clutch takes you to (2nd) gear. Mine kicks in around 38mph with the 2000rpm spring.
@@kachiskid FUK SHIT BITCHZ I JUSS PUT A 10GRAM ROLLERS AND SCOOTER WENT BACK TO 91KM/H FUKRS SO I NEED A LIGHTER ROLLERZ TO SPEED DA FUK UP BITCHZ ......
