Taking notes! Skincare mistakes: 1. Burning is NOT better. Don't be harsh, even if you think it may help with acne, it doesn't! Be gentle and nourish your skin after more compromising treatments such as acids 2. DIY skin care (need I say more?) 3. Using treatments too often. Use them according to your needs 4. Tanning. UV rays significantly contribute to aging 5. Not removing your makeup 6. Toning incorrectly. Your toner should not be used as a cleanser. If you have makeup residue at the toner stage, you're doing something wrong 7. Not doing your own research and keeping in mind that skincare is personal. Instead, have a variety of sources to get your information from Aight, stay exfoliated and slathered in sunscreen my dudes, bye✨
Lol I literally can t go to bed without having a shower and after that, doing my skincare routine or at least ()! wash my face with soap even returning home at 6am drunk af
I’m Susan’s age. When I was 18 (in 2001) my mom had a cream with “alpha-hydroxy acid” in it. She said to use it on dry patches on my skin or little fine lines. I’m kind of grateful she found it so early! Helped keep my skin exfoliated from the jump.
exactly!!! I'll never get it... there are people who have got a darker skintone and that would like to be lighter, and the opposite. I guess you can never be content with what you have :/
I'm from Latin America and everyone is very tan in the summer, but I literally cannot tan, I just get red and then, if I'm lucky and my skin doesn't peel, I get back to being Almost as pale as before. I used to get picked on for being too pale, and now that I'm 21 I'm finally accepting myself and my skin color, my own family made me so insecure too, but I'm at peace with ms now and it's amazing honestly, I don't care what people think anymore.
I’ve learned to embrace the pale. I used to be all about being tanned and did go tanning for a short while, then did spray tan. Now I just stay away from the sun and I couldn’t be happier
it all stems from social status, back then in other countries, being darker meant you probably worked outside and you were of lower status than someone who is pale, being pale in other countries was literally a mark of social status bc it meant you didn’t have to work, america flipped this and it was said that having a nice tan meant that you probably went on vacation more frequently
I think one thing I learned as someone in their twenties is that you don’t necessarily need an extensive skin care routine, just focus on finding the necessities! like a good double cleanse, moisturizer, and spf. the rest should be supplementary
My step sister is in her 40s, few months ago: "you should add cinnamon and lemon to your skincare line." Me: "Lmao sis, I'm 23 and I'll just follow what Hyram, Susan and James Welsh told me to do" . Now my skin is clear from acne and only scars left :')
@@sunnyday_lemonbars well, it's kind of unfair because her skin is like our dad. Clear without any acne, no scars, no dark spot and even not much wrinkles. Well, she got some under her eyes, but not on her forehead. Just like my dad, clear skin until he died😔
The problem is that people don’t talk about genes. That’s the most important. I am 37 now and hardly ever wear sun cream or any excessive skin care. I have no pigmentation, hardly any wrinkle, no acne. People think I am in my twenties. The same is all females in my family. My great grandma was 94 when she died and still no that wrinkly skin. My untie is 81 now and she looks like 50 year old! The same my mum. Non of them ever worn sun cream and working a lot outside and beautiful skin. I keep telling my mum to use proper creams on face but she doesn’t care either 😏😃. It’s genes.
You guys are awesome! I was late to the game. I started skincare at 29 years old and I'm turning 30 this year. Yes, it's only about a year and I'm so glad I came across Mixed makeup then Hyram then James. I learned a lot and I am forever grateful to all you lovely people for sharing informations on skincare, ingredients, etc. My skin is damaged because I didn't grow up with knowledge on skincare so I did not bother to buy any. After buying all the recommended products from Susan, I tried for a month and saw huge improvement on my skin. My pores are visibly smaller and my dark spots lightened. I feel so confident without any makeup and I can finally see a glow on my dull face. My mum complimented on my skin after 1 month of using skincare daily. Then I realized everything Susan said was true! Our skin really does need moisturizer and some serums to boost the condition. I also use sunscreen ever since. I never understood why I must use sunscreen until Susan explained. I bought all the recommended sunscreen and tested out each ones. I just couldn't get enough of 1 product to choose from. I know, it's also not good for the skin if I overdo it too. I'm learning. :)
Omg Susan! Yes you’re so right! 😂 I’m dying! I too was in my 20s in early 00. I totally remember the trend of "if it burns it means it’s working” and "the more it’s burning the better it is" 😭😭😭 I had already been using anti-aging skincare for 10 years at that time, so I wasn’t participating in it... but all my friends were.
I'm 30 and I'm like: "Oh... So that's what I was doing wrong..." Tanning ✔️ Using toner to remove make up ✔️ Products that burned ✔️ Probably why my skin tone is uneven. ⬆️
I’m 27 and I remember using makeup remover wipes as a step to cleansing when I was waking at 5 in the morning working at McDonald’s and then I also cleansed my face like 3 times a day since I was dealing with grease and maskne ( ugh hated it!) my skin LITERALLY freak out and I didn’t know what to do. Thanks to Hyram, I now know on taking care of my skin. My skin is not perfect by any means, but it looks better than it did when the pandemic first started! Thank you, Hyram for your recommendations and now I’m staying clear of St Ives and Neutrogena along with the wipes. Thanks again for helping me get a really good skincare routine and BEING CONSISTENT with it, I now feel confident and happier with my skin today! 💜

Im 22 and JUST learned how bad St Ives is, got off drugstore skincare, and im starting my skin health journey! tysm for these vids! Between you and Cassandra Bankson, I've learned a TON these past few months. Thank god lol my poor skin
I remember about ten years ago, when I was a teenager and had no control over my hormones, I went to a dermatologist and he gave me an entire skincare routine. I remember that there were some products from L'oreal, from a line called Pure Zone (I don't know if it was in other places in the world but here in Brazil it was the best thing we found in the pharmacy for an affordable price), they were products for oily skin with lots of acid, then he recommended a moisturizer. And I ignored the moisturizer because, you know, oily skin doesn't need moisturizing (I'm kidding). I washed and toned my face like, 5 times a day. My glasses slipped from my nose because of the amount of oil. And I only managed to correct this mistake five years later, when I started taking care of my hormones and my skin responsibly. Here in Brazil, oily skin is the most common. But regardless of where you live, even if it's underwater, HYDRATE YOUR FACE. Thank u
Ngl I nearly had a seizure when you said you washed your face 5 times a day, without a moisturizer.. Thank you for changing it up and properly taking care of your face!!
Oh Hyram, I’ve had people say the same things to me about anti-aging skincare products, I started using them around 12-13 and I heard it from everyone, how "I don’t need that" and blah blah blah 🙄 and I’d always leave them speechless bcuz I’d reply with "the point of using it now is to prevent me from needing it desperately later, when it’s too late" *sigh* man I wish UA-cam was a thing back when I was in my early teens bcuz I was definitely on the right track.
Hyram and susan!! Its cool to see you both. I have learned in my 20s, that witch hazel does nothing for oily skin except make more oil. I have learned in my 20s, that acne products do help my kind of acne at all.
but its not though. We all need it for vitamin D and overall health. That's such a western thing and a ploy to sell sunscreen full of toxins. It's about not overdoing it if the sun is too strong on a particular day
I was a sporty kid in my teens and had never applied sunscreen and when I tell you that just using sunscreen and avoiding the sun did so much for my complexion and texture in one year.

elise • it’s recommended to start using it once or twice a week on damp skin before moisturizer. I’ve made the mistake of following what says on the “The ordinary” bottle and overused it, which broke my skin’s healthy barrier.
Hey Hyram! You have literally changed my life with all of your videos and information. I've started putting much more time into researching what products I use, and even use my university database to look up certain ingredients, treatments for eczema, or just tips I've heard online to get a proper scientific view on what I'm doing. It's only been a couple of months but I've already noticed such a massive change in the health of my skin and I couldn't be more grateful :) Keep spreading the good word xx

I'm 25. Just started a skincare routine for the first time. I only ever used to wear suncream when going into the sunshine in the summer. I've never had bad acne, rosacea, dry skin or any real problems but I'm a pregnant mum of two toddlers so, my skin had been through a lot. I hope I'm not starting to look after my skin too late.
@@princessamal5959 I'll be 23 on August 20 , my pimples were from extreme stress...so what helped me was getting my s*it together and it helped a lot, just feel good it will show up on your face. But that has nothing to do with skincare, sorryyy😂 (it's just facts) .. wait but I'm using a mild cleanser, it DID help not getting more pimples, although the absolute worst I'd get my skin to was looking restless and like 3-5 pimples here and there.

Yesssss the tanning. I grew up by the beach and tanned since middle school and throughout high school. Luckily at 21 i started strong using a high quality SUNSCREEN!! im 29 now and skin is so much better. I have a good exfoliate i use once a week and good moisturizers!!
Ok so we Need an informative video about RETIN A, RETINOL, RETINOIDS, TRENTINOIN AND USING AHA/BHA in combination or not using chemical exploitation with it, just everything anti aging please (aside from sunscreen ;P)
So excited to hear Susan Yara talk about the burn of the early 2000s skin care products. I went to a dermatologist for years and he totally made my skin worse. Because even dermatologists back then though the burn was good. I’m still trying to repair my skin from the damage he did to my skin in my teens.
I didn't really have a skin care routine while as an adolescent but when I started university I started getting acne and I was always trying all these products that were suggested (never had a reaction but I never saw any improvements; looking back some were definitely not good, which I learned recently after watching you're videos). I ended up going to my GP which helped but still always wanting to learn more.
I'll be entering my third decade of life in a few days and what I painfully learned in the last six months is to not over-exfoliate. I've been paying the price ever since because over-exfoliation has caused acne and my skin has become very reactive to many products. Definitely I've been staying away from active ingredients to help restore my moisture barrier. Still a work in progress, but I can tell things are improving.
As someone who had cystic acne and tried everything including oral medication. When I stoped everything, and I mean EVERYTHING! I literally would just wash my face with cetaphil general cleanser and stopped wearing makeup, my skin got soooooo much better, this was 3 or 4 years ago. My skin care routine is a little more grown now but still so simple and I love my skin now! ❤️
You guyyyssss 😍 I’m 25 and in the past year I’ve began to realise that I need to do more for my skin! I’ve invested A LOT of time and some dollar into my skincare. Watching this video was so informative, but also dangerous for my bank balance. Paulas choice order submitted!! Woooops 🤭💖
Hyram made me and encouraged me to change my entire skincare routine 🥰 the best investment I’ve made AND it felt so DAMN GOOD to get rid of every single product that I had... it was like throwing away everything. Now I’m on a NEW ERA BABYYYY. Thank you Hyram, XoXo from Puerto Rico. Ps: I want a NEW video on serums 🥰
I can definitely relate to the drowning in salicylic acid trend! In the 2000s I swear every product was packed with SA and witch hazel. I wish I could go back and tell my teenage self ‘it’s okay to put that on your acne in a targeted treatment but for the love of god, use a gentle cleanser and moisturise!’
Can you imagine if in 20 years, people are saying “Can you believe they used to use Niacinamide, Squalane, Retinol, VitaminC, etc. on their skin!!! I would never!!!” 😂
THEY ARE JUST ABSOLUTE GENUINE PEOPLE. I CAN FEEL THE PURE ENERGY FROM THE BOTH OF THEM. THEY DON'T TRY TO OUTSHINE ONE ANOTHER THAT I OFTEN SEE IN COLLABS + BOTH OF THEM REALLY LISTENS TO EACH OTHER. WOW, I LOVE THE BOTH OF YOU. I HOPE TO SEE YOU TWO IN A VIDEO AGAIN :")

Title: "mistakes to AVOID in your 20s"
Me turning 20 in few months: IM RIGHT ON TIME
Me three
Me fourth
Me fifth
Me sixth
Me seventh
aw their little ranch embrace was so cute 🤠
Taking notes! Skincare mistakes:
1. Burning is NOT better. Don't be harsh, even if you think it may help with acne, it doesn't! Be gentle and nourish your skin after more compromising treatments such as acids
2. DIY skin care (need I say more?)
3. Using treatments too often. Use them according to your needs
4. Tanning. UV rays significantly contribute to aging
5. Not removing your makeup
6. Toning incorrectly. Your toner should not be used as a cleanser. If you have makeup residue at the toner stage, you're doing something wrong
7. Not doing your own research and keeping in mind that skincare is personal. Instead, have a variety of sources to get your information from
Aight, stay exfoliated and slathered in sunscreen my dudes, bye✨
Damn. Number 6 is me, I gotta stop
Valentina Gomez okay but same, just read that and now I’m questioning all my decisions
“I don’t care if you’re black out drunk. TAKE OFF YOUR MAKEUP.”
AMEN.
Lexie Hill when I got blackout drunk on my 21st birthday my boyfriend took my makeup off while I was passed out lmao
Whitney Ehlers the epitome of couple goals
I woke up after one party in college with no makeup on and snuggling with my makeup remover like it was a stuffed animal 😅
Lol I literally can t go to bed without having a shower and after that, doing my skincare routine or at least ()! wash my face with soap even returning home at 6am drunk af
@@whitneyehlers8016 lmao he s a hubby material
Hyram: “did we just become best friends?”
Susan: “yup!”
❤️
I’m Susan’s age. When I was 18 (in 2001) my mom had a cream with “alpha-hydroxy acid” in it. She said to use it on dry patches on my skin or little fine lines. I’m kind of grateful she found it so early! Helped keep my skin exfoliated from the jump.
Why does everyone hate the idea of being pale so much like that's some peoples natural skin shade wtf
During summer my grandma always tells me to go outside and catch some tan because I'm so pale. I don't understand why people are so obsessed with it
I hope you guys do more videos together! I love both of your individual channels but your collaboration has some real synergy!!! Amazing!
I think one thing I learned as someone in their twenties is that you don’t necessarily need an extensive skin care routine, just focus on finding the necessities! like a good double cleanse, moisturizer, and spf. the rest should be supplementary
Sequoiah Dreams thats what supplementary means lol
My step sister is in her 40s, few months ago: "you should add cinnamon and lemon to your skincare line."
Me: "Lmao sis, I'm 23 and I'll just follow what Hyram, Susan and James Welsh told me to do"
.
Now my skin is clear from acne and only scars left :')
How does step sister's skin look?
@@sunnyday_lemonbars well, it's kind of unfair because her skin is like our dad. Clear without any acne, no scars, no dark spot and even not much wrinkles. Well, she got some under her eyes, but not on her forehead. Just like my dad, clear skin until he died😔
@Athenäs she got our dad's genes, no scars, no acne, not much wrinkles, no dark spot, no big pores :') meanwhile me, i got my mom's :(
@Athenäs yeah definitely so unfair😭
I am in my 30s but I am still going to take notes 🙂
Seconded!!!!
Kendall Stark honestly sometimes I see something about 20s and I am like “oh perfect for me” then I remember, and it hurts Ahahah
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane holy s***, so do I! I'm 38 but for some reason I think I'm only 25 still 😅
I'm 30 and I'm like: "Oh... So that's what I was doing wrong..."
Tanning ✔️
Using toner to remove make up ✔️
Products that burned ✔️
Probably why my skin tone is uneven. ⬆️
Kendall Stark I feel you so bad lol
THIS COLLAB IS EVERYTHING THANKYOU FOR MAKING IT HAPPEN

there also used to be those magazines aimed at teen girls that would recommend DIY face mask and stuff
@@inspiredby624 yesssss
Sooo many nights of mixing honey and lemon juice in a bowl to slather on my face. Oh my lawd
Relatable. Doing toothpaste face masks at 13 did not help
Clients: “Why is this happening?” Me: *the sun is satan*
Sun is life!!!!
but its not though. We all need it for vitamin D and overall health. That's such a western thing and a ploy to sell sunscreen full of toxins. It's about not overdoing it if the sun is too strong on a particular day
Watching Hyram and Susan get excited about growing up on a ranch was the purest thing I’ve ever seen
I love how excited Susan gets when Hyram tells that he grew up on a ranch in Arizona 😂
That moment when they both found out that they were cattle kids was so pure I cried. ❤️
I was a sporty kid in my teens and had never applied sunscreen and when I tell you that just using sunscreen and avoiding the sun did so much for my complexion and texture in one year.
I love her. She seems like she’s a good listener
Hi Hyram! I’m so glad your channel is growing !! Don’t know if remember me from when you were just started on how i wished you the best of luck. I’m so happy for you :)
“I’m actually 15”
*has a stroke trying to figure out if he’s lying or not*

How old is he?
he’s like 24 I think I’m p sure he’s in his mid-20s because he’s been working as a skin care specialist for a while
he's 23
Zuha thank u
I could watch y’all together every day all day for the rest of my life. Y’all are the perfect duo. Honestly don’t think I’ve ever been so into a video because I’m so interested in hearing what you both have to say and there’s so much to learn from you.❤️❤️❤️

@@nicoleking105 same. Turning 26 in a couple months
I bought "The Ordinary" niacinamide off your recommendation and it has worked wonders for my skin!
I just for mine today and I tried it right now before bed hope it works!!!!
elise • it’s recommended to start using it once or twice a week on damp skin before moisturizer. I’ve made the mistake of following what says on the “The ordinary” bottle and overused it, which broke my skin’s healthy barrier.
As an aesthetician I think awareness to proper skincare is super important. Loved this !!!
Let's all put it this way: if Susan, Hyram, James, Liah, and Beauty Within girls made a video, we will all gonna die. Be resurrected with a baby skin.
Liaaahh💜
Love all of them
Scratch beauty within and im in
Hell yesss omg!! And labmuffinbeauty
Yaassssss it'll be like "Avengers, Assemble!"
Hey Hyram!
You have literally changed my life with all of your videos and information. I've started putting much more time into researching what products I use, and even use my university database to look up certain ingredients, treatments for eczema, or just tips I've heard online to get a proper scientific view on what I'm doing. It's only been a couple of months but I've already noticed such a massive change in the health of my skin and I couldn't be more grateful :)
Keep spreading the good word xx
Talking about the burning sensation.. how do you feel about chemical peels? Please do a video on facials to do/not to do.. like dermapen etc
Love this & you’re right, having James with you would be perfect 🤞 It’ll happen one day soon hopefully 🤞
OMG, The Holy Trinity of Skincare
Hyram is 100% a professional UA-camr has anyone else been here since day one ?
Yep and his instagram, back when there would be only a couple of comments.. So good to see someone who actually deserves his success. He is such a lovely soul and has great content everytime. I am dying for him to do a reaction video to the channel natural kaos. It is the most diabolical skin care channel I have ever seen. He will fall off his seat in horror. 💚🙌
Susan is such a warm and lovely person to be around !! Such a sunshine 🌺
Video suggestion: best tanning lotions and how to use them
Your channel is growing sooo fast and I'm so happy for you. At this point I'm just waiting when your channel is gonna hit 1 mil. subscribers. Love from Czech Republic.😘😘
Won't be long at the rate it's going 🙌💚
4:46 ok but i just love how respectfully (and pretty lol) Susan is listening to you it's so refreshing
I'm at my early 20s (22 to be exact) but I already got through some of the mistakes they mentioned 😂 And thanks God I pull my skin together by now 😭
When they found out that they’re grew up in ranch, I don’t know why I got excited too 😭 I have never been to a ranch before 😂
I feel this .... I had perfect skin as a teenager and now I'm 23 and experiencing atleast 2-3 pimples a week and sebecitious filaments 😭
Can relate, IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED
I will be 23 on 22nd Feb and I have pimples I never had any of them but now any recommendations please
Same 😭
@@princessamal5959 I'll be 23 on August 20 , my pimples were from extreme stress...so what helped me was getting my s*it together and it helped a lot, just feel good it will show up on your face. But that has nothing to do with skincare, sorryyy😂 (it's just facts) .. wait but I'm using a mild cleanser, it DID help not getting more pimples, although the absolute worst I'd get my skin to was looking restless and like 3-5 pimples here and there.
loveinsearchofwords start oil cleansing for the oil filaments! Look into @labeautyologist and just oil cleansing in general, it’s a life saver and i promise that the oil wont trigger acne/oily skin’
Make that video with James welsh! Yass to the skin care Trinity😆
The Trinity Skincare!
Now, Universe, do your thing!
So excited to hear Susan Yara talk about the burn of the early 2000s skin care products. I went to a dermatologist for years and he totally made my skin worse. Because even dermatologists back then though the burn was good. I’m still trying to repair my skin from the damage he did to my skin in my teens.
*Can clicking notifications so fast and aggressively cause arthritis?! Don’t care- I’m here for it!!* 😍

AnonymousLlama underrated comment
(and the blanket doesn't make it harmless)
We all live and learn!! I'm glad u are working to rebuild the barrier and I am sure your skin will look great in no time c:
Would you do a truth about Bioderma, Avene, and other French products? Thanks :))
The chemistry between you guys is so pleasant and fun, I found myself smiling the whole video ❤️❤️❤️
I'm so proud of Susan to get to film with this amazing celebrity
the one thing i still need to work on though: STOP PICKING ON YOUR SKIN 🤷🏻♀️
LittleRonnye omg same
My eyes are itchy
Ooooooor touching your face all the time. *Wince*
Same same same. I pick at my skin all day because of anxiety 😅
RIGHT i feel like that’s the sole reason i even have acne
As someone who had cystic acne and tried everything including oral medication. When I stoped everything, and I mean EVERYTHING! I literally would just wash my face with cetaphil general cleanser and stopped wearing makeup, my skin got soooooo much better, this was 3 or 4 years ago. My skin care routine is a little more grown now but still so simple and I love my skin now! ❤️
I’M SO HAPPY RN, I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU TWO ARE DOING A VIDEO TOGETHER 😭😭😭 I’m dying

The collab we’ve been waiting for 😍
Hyram made me and encouraged me to change my entire skincare routine 🥰 the best investment I’ve made AND it felt so DAMN GOOD to get rid of every single product that I had... it was like throwing away everything.
Yay it’s nice to see your channel grow. I was here when you were new on UA-cam and you deserve the growth!
That means so much!! Thank you! 😍
