- Strata is an app for your iOS devices that I've used in the past with my 4K production studio and the BMD TVS - I thought I'd give it a go with the ATEM mini and of course it works like a dream - this just keeps getting better and better!

Love it, Tim! Thank you. Cheap as chups! I spent a year in Mount Eden, Auckland. Great times. This video has liberated me from the atem desk setup. I can now switch while operating a camera. Brilliant.

Thank you Tim for the Strata tip. The absolute greatest thing for me is that Strata was compatible with OS 5.1.1. This meant that two Ipad 1 devices I had laying around now are in full operation again. I bought the lite version. I do not think Strata is really maintained anymore. Probably they did not sell many pro versions. The pro version price is a shameful ripoff. Luckely the lite version for 11 euro does the most important things. I am an Apple hater sinds I found out they simply put devices (like Ipad 1) out of usability by taking older versions out of the apple store. This to force you to buy newer apples even though the old versions would work perfect on an Ipad 1. This Strata Lite was the exception. Most likely because Strata never bothered to update their apps. It is so handy to have a touchscreen 10 inch tablet at your camera(s) and thus keeping the Atem where all the wires come together. Anyway thanks for your strata suggestion :)

Hi Tim, your videos about the Blackmagic Mini switcher are the best online. Really comprehensive. I have a question. If I connect the mini to my computer via a ethernet cable directly wired not network. Do I need to use cross-over cable? THANKS

Is there any kind of wireless hardware button device that can control the inputs on the ATEM remotely? Phone is cool, but requires looking at the screen, I'd like to do it by feel while looking at the camera but walking around the studio

If you are outdoors you would need a mobile router so that the iPhones could connect to it with wifi I guess...
correct, it does need to talk over ethernet.

Something similar on Android should be METAcontrol. Just installed, not tested yet.

Hi, I had been using the strata app for a couple of months with ATEM Mini and worked great. I bought the brand new ATEM Mini PRO and I cannot connect to that switcher with the app at all. Either the app crashes or does not connect to the switcher. The IP address is defined within the network. Any ideas on how to resolve it? I have been playing with it over one week :( but no success)
I use Strata Lite on Ipad1 to control my Atem mini Pro via a (wireless) router. It all works like a charm. Are you sure your mobile device uses the same router as on which your atem is connected? You are sure, yes? Then please do check again anyway. Maybe your phone or ipad changed back to another router. check ip adresses of your atem also again
Different question: Hi there, I’m using an ATEM MINI PRO as a webcam for my Zoom calls, using Panasonic G7 as the camera. There is half a second more delay as compared to when I use U-TAP as my capture device. Have you encountered this? Do you have any suggestions / solutions for me?
Put the camera on HDMI 1 and open the ATEM Software Control. From teh Output menu choose "Camera 1 direct" - this may help with some of the video latency. Let me know if this helps
Does the STRATA LITE allows you to record a scene and program them to one button press/tap?
For example: One scene I’m in front of the camera in the middle With a green screen with a sky background.
Then with one button tap on the STRATA LITE app it changes to sharing the gameplay from my XBOX and me in the bottom left corner and obviously the gameplay is my background.
Can these be programmed to work with one button tap
The Lite version does not let you start Macros as far as I know. And the pro version is simply way too expensive to even think about it

yes. it can next to the hdmi output also via the usb-c connection record to hardisc OR be a webcam for a computer. Wait this is with the Atem mini pro. No idea about the atem mini

This works with other ATEM models that have two media players
I've got a feeling the ATEM mini does have two but one is used for something else "behind the scenes" and isn't user accessible. I'll dig into this
