Your instructions are easy to follow,I’m a beginner in this craft, & I’m on a new adventure with watercolours & drawing. My age is 79yrs thank you for sharing with us❤Darlene 11.6.23
Michele you are such a blessing, I hope you know that! You are an amazing teacher, you have a gift! Everytime I see a new video from you I get so excited because I know I will have fun and I will learn so much! I just wish I had more time, don't we all?! Much love and gratitude to you!
Absolutely wonderful THANKYOU. WELL DONE congratulations for EVERYTHING. Love mushrooms- drawing them eating them yum yum. Such a delight- can't wait to eat them for Dinner- PEACE from England UK.
I would LOVE more quickie drawings (different mushrooms, birdhouses, (wild)flowers, animals, whimsical, etc) Thank you for sharing your talent and time! 🤍
Tea dying and coffee dying has been going on for quite awhile by the hundreds of people who do junk journals. Your far from the only one. A lot of journal people also do avocado dye which makes a beautiful pink and beet dying.
you are so positive and motivating to listen to! this was my very first time trying a drawing tutorial, and i am so happy with my mushy!! you're amazing
Thank you for sharing your artistic skills. You have inspired me immensely and your laid back approach to 'just have fun' has helped me not stress about small mistakes. You have a wonderful imagination and ability to capture the whimsy in your drawings that I love so much. I am a huge fan!
Great video! The bottom of mushroom caps are called the gills. :) They are where the spores are stored and released from so new mycelium can grow and fruit more mushrooms :D
🌹💖 Hello!! THSNK YOU THANK YOU * THANK YOU *!!!! I have been drawing and a lover of pencil, pen and ink, pen and w/C all my life, but never really spent as much time improving my skills until just before I had to retire.. Now I'm blessed to have plenty of time in my day go devote to my creative * love* life!! I learned bow to make journals ( still working on how to make them gorgeous by watching embellishment tutes and such. One thing I've considered now is using my own art because I don't have a color printer, so I decided I would come up with my own alternatives on making some images.. Some I find in books if they are low cost. I don't have the heart to destroy A vintage or rare book.. So? I get inspiration for drawing images that suit me, while teaching myself technique.. Now that I've happened upon YOUR AWEDOME CHANNEL,, IM GOING GO TO LOVE LEARNING FROM YOU!!! 🤗✍💝 Just subbed as well! I am So Impressed with your teaching style, ( my fave line art illustration!) And that you incorporate your illustrations into journals is SO COOL!!! I have a decent collection of my own to use now, and can't wait to do more daily! Warm Regards from Iowa, U.S.Mindi =)
Had a great time sketching with you. I do have to stop the video to catch up. But my sketches are slowly improving. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, having so much fun. 😊 From Sheryl in Nebraska USA
OMG, I drew a mushroom!!! Not as good as yours, but hey, at least you can tell what it is and it even has dimension!!! LOL Why were you not my teacher when I picked up a pencil? I think I would have made a good artist if I would have had you to teach. Thank you ever so much, you have no idea how much this means to me.
I’m really having fun following your tutorials and I love your “scribble “ drawings. I have been doing what I’ve called scribble drawings of trees but I didn’t really think about incorporating those techniques on other things. Your directions are very clear and easy to follow
Thank you very much. I am still very much a novice but I really wanted to draw a mushroom for my journal. I am going to give this a try. Thank you again.
Found you last night and tackled this over coffee today. I have a pad of watercolor paper and drawing and painting pencils and brushes etc. in a pretty container on my dining table. I sketch a little something at least everyday. I find if it’s here I will doodle which sometimes evolves into a painting session. Keeps me in the mindset of creativity. Good stuff! You did an excellent job of breaking it down and describing your shapes. Mine turned out very good, I will draw all of your fantasy mushrooms as you did then once I get the hang of it I will do my own thing. Thanks so much!
This works so well - mine came out looking like a 'proper' artist had done them - I can't believe I did them myself - looking forward to more of your tutorials to try. Thanks so much x
Great tutorial! I have never done much drawing and certainly have never drawn a mushroom before. I have subscribed and look forward to learning more with you.
Thank you so much Michelle, sending some sunshine from Kelowna to you. I have really learned a lot from you since I found your great UA-cam channel.❤️🇨🇦
Hi from the UK. Thanks for such a cool video. I’m definitely going to give this a try. Btw… a quick tip. In the past when I’ve run out of fixative spray, an old art teacher told me to use hairspray which seems to work. 😊
Oh my WOW!!! I love love love these. I've never been able to draw even stick figures but I tried these and I love how well they turned out. You're an awesome teacher! Thank you so much 💓
Excellent videos and I am so glad I have found this channel, I’m obsessed with mushrooms, bees, insects, octopus and textures of nature snails shells anything and everything 😂 keep it up
My neighbor had a pair of mushrooms growing in their yard, from the top it looked like a set if breasts. I wish I had taken a picture. Lol next time it's rainy season here so there will be more.
You are completely amazing!!! I just discovered you today and I’m thrilled . Love everything about your work and can’t wait to get started today. Question? Your coffee died paper, do you just splash coffee on it and let it dry
Love your style and todays tutorial! It’s very pleasant listening to you and following along. I’m a new sub so perhaps you’ve answered this already, but what type of paper are you using? Thanks so much!

I did try - I drew a mushroom!!
I thought I was the only one who dyed paper with coffee. Tea is nice too.
Tea dying and coffee dying has been going on for quite awhile by the hundreds of people who do junk journals. Your far from the only one. A lot of journal people also do avocado dye which makes a beautiful pink and beet dying.

This was wonderful. The instruction, the mushroom, and your philosophy of "every time you pick up the pen, you are learning". Thank you!!
Thank you so much. 😊

Thank you! I can't wait to try! Hair spray will also work as a fixitive.
I have heard that as well but haven’t tried it. I’m gonna give it a go. Thank you 😊
Thank you for the inspiration and encouragement to try our own drawings.
Thank you 🙏
I forage mushrooms and make photograph guides. I really want to learn to do this but don’t draw at all. It seems a bit hard but I’ll give it a go.
I hope you try it. Just start slow and keep relaxed. Practice you’ll get it!
I come back to this video over and over again. Best tutorial ever! Thank you so much for taking the time to post this video. ❤❤❤
Great video! The bottom of mushroom caps are called the gills. :) They are where the spores are stored and released from so new mycelium can grow and fruit more mushrooms :D
Thank you! I was at a loss for what that part would be called but gills makes perfect sense. Thank you for watching 😊
Yeah I was gonna say that the bottom of the mushroom cap are the gills but Joel Becker beat me to it
And the “skin” on the stem is called a skirt or a ring.

I LOVE your journal

Hi from the UK.
Thanks for such a cool video. I’m definitely going to give this a try.
Btw… a quick tip.
In the past when I’ve run out of fixative spray, an old art teacher told me to use hairspray which seems to work. 😊
Thanks! This tutorial is awesome. Can you tell me the product that you mention at the end, regarding spraying so it doesn’t come off the pen?
I think the underneath are called gills, thank you for sharing.
omg I can't believe i actually did it😍 thank you!
That’s so awesome!!! 👏 👏 thanks for watching 😊
Oh my WOW!!! I love love love these. I've never been able to draw even stick figures but I tried these and I love how well they turned out. You're an awesome teacher! Thank you so much 💓
Oh that makes me so happy!! Thank you so much 😊
Thank you wow beautiful work you have a lovely way showing how to go about drawing x
Excellent videos and I am so glad I have found this channel, I’m obsessed with mushrooms, bees, insects, octopus and textures of nature snails shells anything and everything 😂 keep it up
Thank you so much. 😊
can you please make another video of the other mushrooms that you showed us like the toadstool
As an alternative to products sold specifically to fix pencil/charcoal, cheap hairspray works a treat to seal the surface
The problem with that is it yellows after a short time and it is not archival so will eventually cause the paper to break down.
Nice ! thank you!
Boa noite meu girassol 🌻 🌻 🌻 adorei mil beijinhos 🌻 💋 🌻 💋 🌻

I would like ti see that journal you were working on.

You are completely amazing!!!
I just discovered you today and I’m thrilled .
Love everything about your work and can’t wait to get started today.
Question? Your coffee died paper, do you just splash coffee on it and let it dry
Dyed paper
I draw and I'm making a little mushroom village this helped keep aalot
Love your style and todays tutorial! It’s very pleasant listening to you and following along. I’m a new sub so perhaps you’ve answered this already, but what type of paper are you using? Thanks so much!
