As a random author randomly looking up how drainage basins are drawn up on a map for random worldbuilding purposes, its really odd to type in "drainage basin" in the youtube search bar and get a New York college professor giving a power point presentation for a specific college curriculum that I'm not even taking. 10/10, great video.

Domenique ROss- learning about the dendritic and radial drainage are the most interesting to me. The radial drainage picture reminds me of a placenta.

This was so interesting and your examples really helped! I learned that humid climates have well developed soil.

The annular drainage is pretty wild to look at from above.

Is there any relation between mountains, plains, and plateaus? (and fault lines too I ɡuess?)

Coool 8 D ..... are there any examples of annular drainage in NY or NE ??? This might be a oddish question because its flat or at sea level but what do you consider coral reefs or things like Florida? I mean I know humid swamp and the lakes ... ha well used to become streams etc.... but places like Tallahassee is that more of the same just different sub-genres of plains?? thanks so much

Thank you for your great explanation. You also gave good examples from nature, it facilitates the understanding. However, something stuck in my mind. You explained one of the plateaus' features as "horizontal bedrock". So, have all plateaus horizontal rock formation beneath their surface? Probably not all, but did you tell that to emphasize the low relief of plateaus in comparison with mountains. I haven't been so sure.
