Thanks for sharing "in the mess" :) Just send you hugs. In going through your wedding box it reminded me I have a collection of encouragement cards and letters people sent to me over the years. I might find that and sit through reading to remember good things and kind people.
You don't need to focus on the anniversary at the time, you can choose to postpone any celebrations you feel to need. Remember that you are trekking through life together, it is not the destination or how you get there, but it is how you help each other with the journey. Maybe have a '12 years later' type celebration, but where you currently live, make food similar to how you had on your wedding day, and maybe get Betty Blue to 'walk you down the aisle' but in barefoot, so your feet are on the ground, but your heads are both in the cloud. As a side note: If you say FND in a cross way without pronouncing it specifically, it sounds like you say the 'ing' version of the F word, and directing your frustration to someone with a name beginning with the letter D. (So maybe you both could have a giggle when you are about to say something about FND causing problems, or is being relentless or annoying or whatever it is that say. Try to laugh in the face of problems whilst you are working on your solution to it, it helps ease a lot of tension. Maybe this could be something that you could ask your hubby to find similar issues with FND that could be the 'D' at the end! At least it would get you chatting about the thing that seems to be trying to pull you apart. I don't want it to win, you rock individually so combined... you are superstars! So, hope that provides some ideas. Feel free to email/message and we can chat privately. I'm sure you have my email when we chatted before!
how do you come down after a trigger, mine seem to go on for ages slowly settling then off i go again, if triggered. im learning how to walk again cos of the stupid fnd, its turned my life upside down and i dont know who to talk tothat doesnt think im crazy or faking it, i had with some nurses in hospital. i was even blamed for making them look incompertant.
