Glad Dave got over that attack in NY a while back. Been there, kind of... not bad though. Metal bar back of the head in Ireland haha. As a fan of Team House, donated as much as I could. Keep it up man 👍 We need you healthy so we can keep getting great content!!! 😁

Amazing interview, I sub to and enjoy both channels and have always had a curiosity about Dave and his background. Very humble and dare I say unassuming. One of the best interviews so far on either channel to be honest. Thanks for bringing these stories to the public and sharing your experiences.
words do no justice to thank these men the integrity work ethic disapline dedication of men and women in our military and at home. that makes America great. the greatest country in the world greatest people in the world thank you all. god bless you all god bless america and americans
I was shook when I heard it back then. I was shook when I saw Dave back on the podcast. Shook again hearing it again and seing how it still touches him tothe core. Damn I'm so glad he's alive and doing so amazing. Much love from Germany.
So was Dave a contractor for ground branch or a different government intelligence unit, I think I have heard of afghan 01 units with attached CIA advisors so he could have worked for the CIA but not in a direct role like a GB contractor would in a DA capacity
I’m thinking he contracted for DIA or CIA. Some sort of operational intelligence job.. There’s a company out there called “Operational Intelligence LLC” that fits the bill pretty bang on.
Telling these stories is an important endeavor. Kind of like Dave’s book about mistakes made in Viet Nam. If there are lessons to be learned through efforts that don’t involve violence, give it all your attention.
The description of the brain reboot is spot on. As an idiot who has started too many fights I can absolutely relate. Safe mode is a very good comparison.
That is really frustrating. Serving all this years and being so randomly, pointlessly and severely attacked on his own country, on a subway... This attack would kill a less prepared person.
Loved it, only request is to go into some of the special stuff the navy divers do like the dark and deep stuff never hear anyone go into it but I grew up in that world so I hope someone does someday
Fun fact: Dave was born without hair but with a thick moustache as a baby.
I don't know why but Dave reminds me Brad Fowers, a Quiet Warrior with a lot of knowledge, always humble ready to help...nice video
Absolutely the best interviews are on The Team House and Combat Story.
Dave makes a great point re "consensual combat."

Dave is a very humble guy. Quiet impressive what he did during GWOT.

Dave, you're a freaking beast brother! Hell of a great podcast.
Damn I had no idea that Dave was a Navy Diver and linguist

Much love from Germany.
Dave has basically done everything in the military minus being in a marching band.
A comment sacrifice for the youtube gods.
Hairless menace

He could have been a private contractor
I’m thinking he contracted for DIA or CIA. Some sort of operational intelligence job.. There’s a company out there called “Operational Intelligence LLC” that fits the bill pretty bang on.
Would also like to make note of a company called “black sky” that does the same sort of thing. Geospatial intel and all that.
I'm having trouble wrapping my head around that after Marine Corps basic training, Dave had to do Navy and Army basic, and I'm Air Force.

Looking forward to this one.
Thank you.
I was French foreign legion how do i become a Paramilitary contractor.
Dave, was your subway incident a diversity experience?

Excellent podcast lads!
