Gordon Mills no it’s a #6 .cane rods are not as line specific as horrible modern ones. This rod casts a #4 wf line perfectly as well and probably a Dt as well. The rod is a Charles Ritz designed parabolic taper, made by Sharpes of Aberdeen , The eighty eight. The reel is a Marquis from Hardy.
Another entertaining video, Dietrich! Keep them coming. Maybe sometime a video with all 5 of you guys fishing together, that would be a blast! BIBIO!!! P.S. I've been tying up your version of the BIBIO and giving them away to friends here in Colorado...
The Bibio in Colorado, that's something. Thank you, Doug. Getting all 5 together is a nice idea; maybe the day will come. Greetings from Donegal, Ireland.
Hello Dietrich, love the videos and i'm an avid Bibio fan for the mountain loughs and even on Corrib. i'm a frequent visitor to Killybegs, Ardara and Glenties (your back yard it seems) and i'd love to fish these lovely mountain loughs. Can you advise. i'm a fly only man and wouldn't take a trout from these lakes... purely the sport i'm after and an evening out from under the inlaw's feet!! The second lake here looks to hold some decent size good fighting brownies... heading to Donegal in the next couple of weeks! Tight lines...D
Thank you, David. Around Killybegs there is Lough Adeery and then the "Old Reservoir", at Ardara are the lakes "at the Maas road"; Loughs Anna and Finn in the Glenties region; in south Donegal try the lakes at Barnesmore. Take care and greetings from Donegal.
I always enjoy your video's. Is it true that the pints in the pub are served warm in Ireland? I could almost taste those brownies they looked so good. The bibio is a hit for the brownies. I will remember. All the best, Sean
@@DietrichBohnhorst Oh, thank goodness the beer is cold. I am still trying to work out a trip to Ireland with a friend. It is still a dream at this point. Thanks again for your great video's. All the best, Sean

Yes I learned a valuable lesson this weekend. Use a Bibio and another one. Great times in the wilds. And loads of pints!! The perfect weekend.
Thank you, Dave. Hopedly there will be another great weekend soon; in the Wild West.

Stick to your guns Dave, no bibio’s! One day it will happen!

Some great trout wild trout there. Well done. The 3 amigos. Very enjoyable video. Congratulations.
Thank you, Vincent. Just to prove there are some lakes with reasonable trout in Donegal, not Rainbows, I mean. Greetings from Inver.
Best video (rainbow free) this year, great to see some wild Donegal fish being caught in wild Donegal places...... on the Bibio
Yes, the Bibio!

Very nice, some beautiful wild trout. Dave always seems to have the lead when heading to the pub👍
Thank you; I was told that with the pub is just my bad influence.
Great video Dietrich. Enjoyed it very much
Thank you. All the best.
Great fun video lads!
Main star: the bibio! Again!
Hope to make it to that neck of the woods this year!
Thank you. Where would we be without the Bibio.

Thank you, Sean. The brownies tasted really good, so did the perfectly cooled pints. Warm beer is only available on request, in some pubs.
