Gotta love Tim's sense of humor, it's great. gsusan11, I just posted above about my part of Texas also. I am in Pasadena just a little step south of Houston, so sorry your power was out so long. I was luckier and didn't lose it for more than an hour. Of course we are waiting for the Hurricanes now. Oh and Jamaica sounds great!!

In fairness, Tim traveled up there during a polar vortex where Arctic air gets pushed south, dropping temperatures dangerously low. They don't happen too often because the jet stream usually stops them (though they seem to be increasing in frequency), but boy when they do, brrrr!
-17C (0F) is more typical on a few days a winter. Usually we are around 10-20F most of the winter with some days at 0 and a few in the negative numbers. We don't worry as much about the actual measured temperature but more the wind chill which is the wind added to the temperature to determine what it really feels like (and to determine how quickly exposed skin will frostbite).

It took me a moment to make the adjustment between Celsius and Fahrenheit too - when I first heard Tim say that 40 degrees was cold for him I was like "Are you SERIOUS? That's flippin' BOILING!" But then, once I remembered that 32 Fahrenheit is 0 Celsius it was "Oh... yeah, pretty darn cold then!"
Thanks for coming to visit my beautiful (and sometimes COLD) state of Minnesota, Tim! This video is gold!! 🤣 Lyle, going through this video with you was a blast! Hot tub snow angels are a real thing, and there's nothing like that sensation when you jump back in the tub. Tubing at Buck Hill (or anywhere, for that matter) is a blast! Loved this video, and Tim was so funny! I'm from Illinois, lived in Utah a few years, and currently back in Illinois. Our temps really do get cold (especially with the wind chill), but I love it. It's a matter of getting use to the climate wherever you live. People from Florida, California, and Hawaii are use to the warmth, the Midwest get the warm and cold, and the Northern and Northeastern states can get really cold. It's amazing how our bodies can adjust to different climates. Thanks for doing a reaction to this video. It was a lot of fun to watch.
I've seen this one a couple of times already and I still laughed a good bit! I can totally relate to Tim's dislike/discomfort for cold weather. I also live in the southern states (just 3 1/2 hours from his home state of Texas. We're in southeastern Louisiana. We had a pretty cold Winter late last year and some freezing weather in March, which is unusual. Give me 70's all year round and I'd be a very happy camper. I'm not a fan of the extreme heat and humidity of our summers, either. This was a hoot to watch with you! I knew you'd enjoy it, and Tim's reactions to the cold temps! My favorite part was the Hot Tub Snow Angel part! "Aargh, it burns!" lol
Tim is a hoot. Love his deadpan delivery. Loved that Adam got him to do the hot tub snow angel and sledding is great. We got 29” of snow in one day in Colorado. No problem. You just get the snow blower out…since it was March it melted pretty fast. Winter isn’t a problem for me. Now Texas in the summer….too hot for me! Hahaha
I'm from Minnesota, it's not so bad. You dress in layers, make sure you have remote start in your car. It's great for ice fishing, we have tournaments! We have some of the coldest temperatures in the US. Bennigans is a restaurant, that sells a specialty sandwich, The Monte Cristo. I'm pretty sure that's what he was eating. In the Twin Cities (Minneapolis & St. Paul) it's been close to -40 before.
I lived in Alaska for several years. My last 4 years I lived in cabins with no indoor plumbing (that means outhouses). Most of the winter is spent between 10F to -15F (-12 to -26C). A good part is -15 to -30F (-34C) at which point I developed my own definition of the term blue moon. There's several weeks where it drops into the -40Fs (-40C) and at least a couple weeks of -50F (-45C).
Austin said they won't come to Canada in the winter anymore. I wonder why? lmao It's even colder here. Great reaction, you got me laughing through the whole thing.
I'm sitting here in northeast Missouri. Last winter wad brutal here too. It's not always that bad. However, just watching this makes me shiver. I'm thinking of changing my name to I HATE WINTER!
I hate to think how many times I've watched this, Tim is hilarious, loved your reaction to this. Mind you the only reason I keep watching this video is so I can see Adam in shorts, he so hunky and gorgeous. 🥰🥰🥰
I truly enjoyed watching this with you.. as was stated below.. loved seeing this from your perspective. I am originally from Boston, Mass.. now if Philly but noo.. tooo cold for me outside now!! haha.. Tim was eating a sandwich from Bennigan's .Restaurant..( no longer in business around here thats for sure..) . a Monte Cristo.. basically a ham, & cheese sandwich batter dipped and deep fried.. served with powdered sugar and raspberry jam. Sounds odd but really yummy although you can feel your arteries harden just watching the video! (Did you notice that Adam Rupps daughter , Cerise was barefoot and Adam was just wearing socks on his feet while Chris Chatham was all bundled up? ) Thanks so much!!
Like Tim, I am from Southeast Texas and we don't usually have weather like that. This year though we had weather that dropped to minus 9 degrees. Never before and I am 72 so whatever came before that I just don't know. I was lucky the power was only out for about an hour. But even with the heat working it still was cold in the house. I had friends that lost power for a lot longer. The temp went back up after about 4 to 5 days. We are flat land so there was zero places to go sledding. LOL!! Zero driving was going on, unless you had to go to work at a refinery. My oldest son went to work and stayed. Anyway this was hilarious. Tim doing a snow angel and Rob was helping. LOL!! Thanks for this one.
Tim being from southeast Texas doesn't get the freezing weather that we get in north Texas. There is that much of a climate difference in our state, in the winter. BUT, no way could I ever survive in Minnesota.
I love this! Tim and his personality along with his sense of humor is absolutely genius. Makes me wish he was a friend of mine because he seems like he is so fun to be around! One of those people who just draws folks to him! Love him and Home Free!! Austin has a great video as well about his hometown and family! He's from South Georgia as I am too. Our hometowns are about an hour away from each other. I recommend it! You will see that South Georgia country boy in him and the famous Southern gentlemen and Southern hospitality that is what we are known for! ♥️
I’m a truck driver and the coldest temperatures I have been in was in Wisconsin. It was -28 Fahrenheit (-33.3 Celsius. Yeah I totally googled this). My fuel lines gelled up and my Siberian Husky (who came from Miami, FL) thought he died and went to Heaven. I was just convinced that I WAS going to die. It actually hurt to breathe.
I believe Embarass, MN has the state record cold temp @ ~-65F. I've experienced at least -35. Then add some wind! You can't be outside more than a minute or two. All skin must be covered. Hardest part is the toes.
I saw this when it first came out; I live in Wisconsin and experienced the polar vortex up close and personal (didn't try the hot tub snow angel challenge though)! I got a real kick of of Tim's antics and his sense of humor dealing with the extreme cold. I'm not from a cold-winter climate either and when I retire I'm moving south... "until the air no longer hurts my face".
Wow! This was so much fun to watch! 😂 The winters in the north of Sweden 🇸🇪, where I live, is just like that. The snowblower is my best friend during december to march☃️ temperatures down to -35 C is not uncommon. It’s so funny watching your reaction to what is normal to us who lives on the opposite side of our 🌍.
What I love about Patrol Gaming is how you give you opinion on the songs and videoes but you don't go on and on like many others. I am originally from East Texas then Oklahoma. I have also lived in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, West Virginia, South Carolina and now I've been in Georgia sor about 10 years so I've seen all kinds of weather. Going to school or work in the snow up north. In Georgia the first snowflakes everything closes and all the bread and milk are gone from stores. This was funny!
Minnesotan here and when they say it gets crazy cold for a week or so then goes back to normal, that is very true. It usually happens in late January or early Feb. After a while, you just know it's coming. Heated garage or going out to start your car every few hours is a thing. But that is when we sit inside, watch movies, play games or cook. You just don't go outside unless you have to. You know it's that time when the snow squeaks and crunches when you walk on it. But trust me when I say the rest of the year is so worth living here.
@@johntucker4296 I never said that it was 30 for most of the winter. I do live in the southern part but the average is 20s around here. And we are blessed with alot of wind so windchill is a huge factor here.
I was so hoping you'd react to this video, even though it's a long one, it is so worth it. The hot tub segment alone had me laughing my butt off. Tim has such a great sense of humor, and his blogs along the way were hilarious. Thanks For doing this one Pat! Watching your face, while you watched the video was absolutely PRICELESS!!!
I live in Wisconsin, which is just east of Minnesota. We have ten inches of snow on the ground and the wind chill is minus fifteen. Inside eating cheese curds and drinking beer and watching you tube are good things to be doing.
Jonadab's Quick Guide to Fahrenheit: 350 - oven 200 - hot sauna 110 - Arizona ("It's a dry heat" means if you run out of cold beverages, you die.) 100 - body temperature 90 - Florida ("dry" in Florida means it hasn't rained in over an hour and there isn't visible steam rising from the pavement.) 80 - Nursing Home 70 - Normal Indoor Temperature 60 - Cool Basement 50 - Cave 40 - Refrigerator 30 - Snow spontaneously turns to slush 20 - Snow is easily packed into snowballs 10 - Snow can be packed, but also can drift 0 - Snow drifts readily, cannot be packed by hand; normal temperature for "ready freezers", e.g., the freezer built into your refrigerator 10 Below 0 - snow does not pack even under the weight of vehicle tires 20 Below 0 - snow squeaks when you walk on it; standard 'deep freeze" temperature for long-term meat storage 30 Below 0 - Minnesotans tell you that it is "a bit nippy out there" 40 Below 0 - Same as -40 Celsius. Personally, I am comfortable from 45 up to about 68; this is a larger but lower temperature comfort range than average; a lot of people are comfortable at 75, and that makes me want to strip off my clothes and sit in front of a fan sipping cold beverages.
I'm from Western Oregon, and we used to get snow and Ice storms. Snow and Ice is great if all you are doing is playing in it, or sitting around a fire drinking hot toddys. Commuting, and pretty much anything else is just a pain in the a@@. I've lived in Florida for the past 19 years, and I don't miss that stuff at all. haha.
I live in Wisconsin, we're right next to Minnesota, and get just as cold. I love it here. I love the cold though. I've lived in Arizona and Arkansas, and I couldn't wait to come back home to Wisconsin. I'll take the cold over all the spiders you guys get in Australia!
Hahaha! Loved your reaction. We just finished winter here in Minnesota, the last day of April. Now it's raining, but warm outside at 45°F. In the summer,it gets to high 90100's F. Just think, Home Free had its beginning right here on the tundra. And don't forget we also brought Prince to the world. It's beautiful in all 4 seasons! Come visit us sometime!
Tim Eats is a good one, I think there are 2 or 3 of those videos, also the "From the Vault" series How Great Thou Art and Die A Happy Man, shows behind the scenes of those videos and it's pretty entertaining also. They are shorter than this one video so you can probably do 2 of them together.
I still live in Michigan, I was in McAllen, Texas one late December and a local yelled at me to get a coat on, I was gonna freeze. The temp was 45F and I was wearing jeans and a t-shirt. She about had a heart attack when I told her the night before up home it was -50F with a wind chill of -70F.
I live in Wisconsin which is just east of Minnesota . I can relate with those cold conditions. Right now we have fourteen inches of snow on the ground. The wind chill is minus fifteen.
I grew up in the mid-southern Appalachian region and we were a little more nonchalant about winter clothing too. It rarely got below zero but we had a LOT of days when it never got out of the teens. I moved to central NC for college and figured out that the city/county here didn’t even HAVE snowplows! I was used to driving in snow but the people here are flat out stupid and dangerous! I’d go to class in jeans and a long sleeved shirt and my (then) boyfriend would be wearing three layers of clothes plus a huge parka. But I would NEVER voluntarily live in the Midwest!
Loved you reaction. When I watched for the first time I couldn't stop laughing. I don't know how he manned to run from the hot tube into the snow & back brrrrrrrrrrrr
I live about 320 mi (515 km) north of Minneapolis MN in North Dakota. This past January we had a record low of -32°F. February gave us a 9-day streak of sub-zero temperatures with the highest temperature being -14°F.🥶 And we use a windchill chart for the winter. When it is -32° and the wind is blowing at 10 mph, the temperature will feel like -53° and after 10 minutes of exposure, you could get frostbite. That being said, it was 97° today.🥵 We think our weather is a little bipolar.
Minnesota is ALMOST as cold as Maine. Ask me how I know. I remember a winter a few years ago where for a SOLID WEEK it was -16ºF (-26.66667ºC) outside when I left for work in the morning. WITHOUT wind chill. Bear in mind, this was in the middle of a 4 year stretch where the vehicle I commuted to and from work in DID NOT have working heat. Maine gets COLD. We also get a lot of snow. In 2014, the year I bought my house, the city I live in recorded snowfall accumulations of 120" (304.8cm). THREE METERS OF SNOW ACCUMULATION.
What you saw as far as the temp and the snow is the reason I moved from my hometowns. Lol However today and tomorrow may get into the 30's so I am inside under 3 blankets - along with our 2 dogs. They are wimps too 😂😂 I did enjoy this.
I'm born and bred Canadian - until the temperature is under 50 F for a week, I don't get out my winter coat. We have hardy type men who bet each other on when (in the winter) they'll give in and stop wearing shorts. I think they're so cool they have hypothermia, however . . .
haha I live in Canada, and work at a school. Kids go outside at lunch until the temperature reaches -20C and then they stay inside if its any colder. -3C is balmy in the winter. love your reaction!!
I live in Cincinnati, Ohio close to the south East Indiana border and there is a ski slopes close to me called Perfect North! It’s got skiing and tubing and we go at least a couple of times during the winter. It’s fun!
LMAO! This made me laugh so much. I'm in Canada, but where I am, temps aren't like where this video was shot. I would never do the hot tub thing, kudos to Tim for doing it, although I noticed Adam didn't join in. This really made my day. I kinda hoped the tube would have turned over on one of them though. Thanks for a great deal of belly laughing 💕
You should visit Canada in the winter ... we get -25C, -30 to -35C, and occasionally even -40C, along with the deep snow and ice. Loads of fun!! (only being a bit sarcastic about the 'fun' part)
I live in Ohio and the winters are soooooo much fun! If you run, the air actually burns your lungs. My beard freezes. All kidding aside, I love it and wouldn’t trade it for anything.
i am from further south than Tim is and it gets too cold in Tx for me! heck it gets too cold in Alabama for me and i'd rather live in Florida where it never gets below 55 or 60!
I’m from south south Texas close to the Mexican border and during this winter vortex we hit 18 degrees which I’ve never seen in my years and our power was out for 3 days during it……my husband and me got a crash course literally of actually ice ice lmfao it was amazing but cold as hell lol
lol negative 60 degrees fahrenheit is Negative 51 Centigrade ! We in the Upper midwest are prequalified to go to the South Pole (that's what we tell ourselves anyhow) Bring it we can take it !
Lol here in Saskatchewan Canada it is minus 30 to 50 for at least 2 to 3 months December, January and February and a lot of the time it could be minus 25 or colder until April or may lol we had snow in July a few years back and I don't mean a few flakes it was about 5 inches or so that lasted a week, so 0 or minus 20 is still tee shirt weather, in fact there is not a time I wear a sweater I hate those so summer shirts all year long for most of us.
This was so funny 🤣 Even funnier watching you react to the cold. Really enjoy your reactions. Not sure if you have reacted to Tim Fousts what burns my brisket... it's hilarious.

Great reaction. Think you would like the Storytime with Tim videos also. Love Tim’s sense of humor.
Thank you for sharing this. Tim is so naturally funny. Love him!
Superb humor Tim have. He is AWSOME to listen too.😂😂😂💖💖💖💖💖💖😂😂😂
Like Tim, I am from Southeast Texas and we don't usually have weather like that.
Loved the video!
Lived in Minnesota my entire life and absolutely love it here!
Tim being from southeast Texas doesn't get the freezing weather that we get in north Texas. There is that much of a climate difference in our state, in the winter. BUT, no way could I ever survive in Minnesota.
In Texas, tubing the rivers is a thing!😎😎😎😎
As someone who moved to Florida in 1998 from central NY that had horrible winters I can relate.
One of the reasons I moved to Vegas......I used to live in Pittsburgh, PA.....Winter...
It’s a little chilly up there …!!!! LOLOL
Wow! This was so much fun to watch! 😂
The winters in the north of Sweden 🇸🇪, where I live, is just like that. The snowblower is my best friend during december to march☃️
temperatures down to -35 C is not uncommon.
C'mon Lisa. 30 degrees for all but a couple of weeks? You must live in the warmest spot here.
@@johntucker4296 I never said that it was 30 for most of the winter. I do live in the southern part but the average is 20s around here. And we are blessed with alot of wind so windchill is a huge factor here.
@@lisaseverance6785Just giving you a little bit of a hard time.
@@johntucker4296 Kind of wondered John!🤣
I was so hoping you'd react to this video, even though it's a long one, it is so worth it. The hot tub segment alone had me laughing my butt off. Tim has such a great sense of humor, and his blogs along the way were hilarious. Thanks For doing this one Pat! Watching your face, while you watched the video was absolutely PRICELESS!!!
I live in Wisconsin, which is just east of Minnesota. We have ten inches of snow on the ground and the wind chill is minus fifteen. Inside eating cheese curds and drinking beer and watching you tube are good things to be doing.
In high school, when we got snow (which wasn’t every winter), we’d build a bonfire and sled down a big hill. So fun!!
Tim has such a wonderful sense of humor 😂
Jonadab's Quick Guide to Fahrenheit:
350 - oven
200 - hot sauna
110 - Arizona ("It's a dry heat" means if you run out of cold beverages, you die.)
100 - body temperature
90 - Florida ("dry" in Florida means it hasn't rained in over an hour and there isn't visible steam rising from the pavement.)
80 - Nursing Home
70 - Normal Indoor Temperature
60 - Cool Basement
50 - Cave
40 - Refrigerator
30 - Snow spontaneously turns to slush
20 - Snow is easily packed into snowballs
10 - Snow can be packed, but also can drift
0 - Snow drifts readily, cannot be packed by hand; normal temperature for "ready freezers", e.g., the freezer built into your refrigerator
10 Below 0 - snow does not pack even under the weight of vehicle tires
20 Below 0 - snow squeaks when you walk on it; standard 'deep freeze" temperature for long-term meat storage
30 Below 0 - Minnesotans tell you that it is "a bit nippy out there"
40 Below 0 - Same as -40 Celsius.
Personally, I am comfortable from 45 up to about 68; this is a larger but lower temperature comfort range than average; a lot of people are comfortable at 75, and that makes me want to strip off my clothes and sit in front of a fan sipping cold beverages.
I'm from Alabama, it usually is a comfortable 45 to 90. It is really nice! 90 is a little warm! But, in our defense, we can always go to the beach!!
I'm from Western Oregon, and we used to get snow and Ice storms. Snow and Ice is great if all you are doing is playing in it, or sitting around a fire drinking hot toddys. Commuting, and pretty much anything else is just a pain in the a@@. I've lived in Florida for the past 19 years, and I don't miss that stuff at all. haha.
I live in the Mitten, (Michigan), and I love the winter and snow!!
Seeing a shirtless Adam is totally worth watching this video for.
You are reading my mind
Tin ain't too bad either. Have you seen the video with a shirtless Chris? 7th Ave - I Kissed a Girl in the House of the Rising Sun.
He's a scream....love his laconic and dry sense of humour...lol
I love watching these clips over and over. Tim’s humor is priceless and they all have a great time when together. Enjoyed it very much !!!!😂😂
If he went to Bennigan’s, it was most likely a Monte Cristo sandwich he was eating . They had the best ones 😊
I remember when I tried to start my car, noticed after a while it was minus 37 C. Northern Sweden. The car didn't start...
I think they're so cool they have hypothermia, however . . .
50 f is 10 degrees C. I'm sorry but that's deep winter for us in Queensland. I would already be in a few layers.
It gets below 0 degrees F every year hear.......It hurts to exist at that point......
A heated garage is the Australian equilivant of an air conditioned garage because that hot air will choke you.
haha I live in Canada, and work at a school.
It’s fun!
Tim is hilariously funny, a true South Texas guy!
So funny! I just love Tim! Thanks for sharing. ❤️
WINTERFELL? More like Winter CRASHED and froze everything in sight!
I live about 10 minutes from Buck Hill, I should really check out the tubing next winter.
Geez, I'm in Canada, 25°c is a Hot day! Alberta gets -25C or more in winter. Lol
Thanks Rose, but I think I'll look at Canada from Google maps.
@@PatrolNation I think you're wise ... although we have lovely summers. The last two weeks we've had +30C to +35C ... too hot for me!
I live in Ohio and the winters are soooooo much fun! If you run, the air actually burns your lungs. My beard freezes. All kidding aside, I love it and wouldn’t trade it for anything.
You wouldn't survive Canada.... we get REAL cold!! I mean -35 - -40 Celsius... and it can get colder in Northern Canada.
This is hilarious! Growing up in mid-Sweden I was rarely a fan of being out in the snow and cold. So much so that I moved to Southern Spain! 🤣🤣
i am from further south than Tim is and it gets too cold in Tx for me! heck it gets too cold in Alabama for me and i'd rather live in Florida where it never gets below 55 or 60!
DUDE !!!! I love this stuff....do TIm's Texas Eats series, all 4 parts are DELICIOUS
what tim was eatin was a battered and deep fried sammich called a monte cristo
I loved seeing this from your perspective.
Home Free premieres "Born in the USA" at noon today...it's not my favorite off the new album but I'm sure they will hit the mark with it....
We are in Perth, and it is meant to be 40deg C tomorrow. I really enjoyed these extras, I like his food ones by Tim.
That was hilarious! I'm from Georgia, couldn't handle that. 😀
It's too warm for me in the Twin Cities in the winter, need to come up to Duluth and enjoy the February weather
Man I'm a Floridian and I feel his pain LOL
Fellow Queenslander and Home Free fan , great video , and yep Tim is a lot of fun to be sure
G'day mate, thanks for watching.
This was so funny 🤣 Even funnier watching you react to the cold. Really enjoy your reactions. Not sure if you have reacted to Tim Fousts what burns my brisket... it's hilarious.
haha mate , i love the snow , i skied a lot years ago at thredbo , those winter nights where a lot of fun , great video mate another busy day needed the smile lol my dad was a bondi iceberger that wakes you up mate lol
