You can get rid of 75% of that MB and pressure wave by using a muzzle compensator, not a brake. Those direct the blast AWAY from you. WAY more enjoyable to shoot. No more blasting your sinuses to pieces. You can NOT suppress that 8" barrel easily. The pressure would require an all SS can that would weigh about 3# (think MAC10) because the powder would still be burning in the can!. Recoil isn't bad with a gun that weighs 10# so the brake is just Hollywood anyway. The 8" barrel limits you to bullet weights of 150gr or less. Any heavier and they won't stabilize in that 1/10 twist beyond 150-200M, the bullets will start tumbling. That gun is almost there, I'd figure you have almost 4G's in that build. Long live the 308.
I have a Ptr 32 it’s great the downside to it that I do not like is that it gets really dirty really fast. Can I take it to a gunsmith so they can cut some sort of exhaust or do something to it so it wont get that dirty?
Thank you for being honest. "Doesn't have a practical purpose." On another HK51 video someone summed it up quite nicely: "This thing is quite practical if you suddenly find yourself in a shed full of tigers."
Just ran across your video. Pretty good, I have the same rig ,Minus the top rail. Older PTR PDW,Now a SBR. In 2014 I got my correct colassable stock from PTR . I have a MP5 handguard on mine. Definitely does not make any friends at an Indoor range with this cannon, Been there, lol, I Got to shoot a 51 belt fed years ago, It ruined 2 cameras outdoors with the muzzle concussion. . Best gun money ever spent. Take care from Texas.
Are all mp5 hand guards compatible with the ptr 91 pdw or only a few? finally got my hands on a collapsible stock so ima SBR it and actually use the damn thing 😂
Would you recommend it in a swat application say close quarters vehicle to vehicle battle against opponents with body armor similar to the North Hollywood Shootout
I would love to see some footage of this thing in action. It looks great, and I think the modifications you have done/added are perfect. I definitely have one of these in my sights for a future fun shooter, just trying to decide if I want the 12" or 8" barrel. Nice work.
Just like Dan Fowler said on the break issue for me this gun has a purpose its a nice short package not a range toy and can deal out firepower when needed. I work Security this would work for me for a car gun and carry gun anyway its not a range toy at all good luck happy shooting.
Going to SRB one myself and use a few of your tips, where did you get the recoil spring modified at (Gunsmiths name) ? I am having a hard time finding a collapsible stock so once the tax stamp comes back, I am going with the adjustable choate side folder stock.
The vertical grip and collapsible stock need to go. If the flame thrower properties is a problem, why go with a .308 MP5? I prefer a 53 because it's easier to shoot than a jackhammer. Looks badass, though.
Agreed it is a novelty at its finest... all I can say is there was no ear plugs in Iraq and if you ever find yourself in a self defense situation you won't be wearing ears. That thing there with that muzzle break will blow your ears to hell.

i think its got a purpose, having a lot of firepower in a small package. it would do nicely in thick brush hunting pigs!
Like any other gun, if you want one badly enough, you'll FIND a "practical reason". (Note: doesn't apply if you're single)
They do have a purpose and I have one too. It is great for a guide gun or walk through the woods guns in case of bears and mountain lions.
Same here bro I love gun out of all my other guns
I'll admit I'm not a big PTR fan, this 1 got me.
Good job

Will you please do another update on how this ptr pdw SBR is doing? I can't wait to get one...👍

I have 2PTR51v+SigStock & slide off vertical grips. Home & truck guns & 30r taped mags with Tracers= 61rounds. 😁
Man I love it. The only thing I’d do is raise the red dot so the triple tree won’t clutter it up

Thanks! I'll have some shooting footage up soon. It's a fire breather for sure
It's a tumber for sure ver very nice ptr cheers
serious money in that! sweet
Perfect truck gun for Memphis
Wow the fire ball is amazing!! I want piston version of this in ptr32!!
Piston? You know it's a roller-delayed blowback?
Nice set up

❤ good for home defense good knock down power will get the job done for sure not surviving this one
So are the selector markings just for show or is it actually full auto?
It puts holes in things doesn't it?!?!?!
Gentry Tipton 😆
Where did you get that forearm with the Magpul grip did you make that yourself
Very cool, I cant decide whether to build something like this or do this with a ptr 32
That gun is quite nice!
Ambidextrous, not "ambidextrious"
Any idea how to change the recoil spring on her? It's a retractable rod and I can't figure it out.

Question on the Trigger pack...did you have to do any mods to the full auto trigger pack to fit into your 51P? or was it just a snap in? thank you
I'm About to form 1 my 51p. Did you do the model as a PTR 91? That's what's on the reciever. Not 51p. Just wanted to make sure before i submit lol ty
What kind of stock is it
very very beautiful like this 😍
Where did you get the stock after you got the tax stamp and how much was it? Im leaning more towards an SBR build due to the PTR91 heavy weight..
if you want to do cqb and set the enemy on fire from muzzle flash before they die........
Will the hk trigger pack and housing drop right in..or do you have to modifi it
I got a ? Would you trust your life with this Ptr 308 my friend.
He'll yea blow holes in fools
Is it not accurate?
Semi-auto flash bang
Linear Compensator
تخبل
Practicality: 3/10. Fun factor: 11/10!
Total waste. CQB with a bunch of tigers in a garden shed at best.
Who cares? It looks cool as hell.
@@Skrenja and looks are all that really matters. 🤙🏼
