308 is a powerful round. My dad's 308 Remington was stolen before I was able to get it so wound up buying a 303 British Paratrooper Carbine and lord help the person on the wrong end !! Love this gun!!
Those things do kick! I bought one back in the 80's. It was a Golden State Arms made from a regular SMLE back in the 60's I believe. Any way, I noticed the brass was bulged badly near the rim so took it back to the gun shop and they checked it out and said the headspace was way out of speck and gave me my money back. Too bad because those guns look awesome! The one I had still shot really well despite the headspace issue and old Egyptian milsurp ammo I was feeding it.
Love your enthusiasm!!! Looked like a lot of fun!!! When I was in the Army, many moons ago, I shot an M-60 machine gun, it weighed 27 pounds and it was difficult to keep it from rising, don’t know how you kept that little thing down.
My local gun store has an m60 you can rent. I always thought they were very controllable. However it's always been fired with a bi pod. I'm sure from the hip or standing is way different. Thank you for your service.
Hk 308s are some of the most comfortable guns to shoot. First time i shot one I remember how people told me they have harsh recoil, then i pulled the trigger and the gun kissed my shoulder. Very tame even compared to an akm which itself isn't that harsh.
It doesn't quite work that well even with a fa cut BCG. Different dimensions and what not. Even the 3d printables don't work. There are some RDIAS out there but they are specifically designed for ar-10. There is however an ar-10 that is designed to ar-15 spec and will accept the "coat hanger".
I built a 10.5" barrel AR10 with a pistol brace. In Washington state it is illegal to carry a loaded rifle in your car but a concealed rifle caliber pistol is A Ok! It also avoids a tax stamp.
Dude I absolutely love your genuine reaction to firing this beast. It almost seems like a love-hate thing but the ridiculousness yet practicality of firing it seems to have won you over.
That would be the perfect gun for any social work you might need. Maybe my friend Sleepy Joe will let me get one for Christmas, if I get him a lot of ice cream. God Bless my 2A brother's and sister's! Sincerely Ruger Rich

Luckily there are high quality clones on the market, PTR makes nice rollerlocks, I have an MP5 clone from them that is just about as nice as an SP5 at less than half the price (the welds are sometimes better even), and just ordered a PCS33 (Hk93 clone) from Parabellum Combat Systems for a little more than half the price of a pre-ban 93 on the market. Just stay away from anything where Century Arms had anything to do with the manufacturing.
A comprehensive list of quality Hk rollerlock clone manufacturers would be Parabellum Combat Systems, Dakota Tactical, and Revolutionary Rollerlocks on top as they are made to order and typically manufactured by one gunsmith, and Zenith and PTR as far as quality mass produced/batch produced examples. Zenith is actually licensed by Hk, and manufactures rollerlocks for the Turkish military

@@darvinclement3250 Mine had no issues but the Mil surplus ammo dried up when one of the owners bought a Bren Gun.
Mike
Love your enthusiasm!!! Looked like a lot of fun!!! When I was in the Army, many moons ago, I shot an M-60 machine gun, it weighed 27 pounds and it was difficult to keep it from rising, don’t know how you kept that little thing down.
My local gun store has an m60 you can rent. I always thought they were very controllable. However it's always been fired with a bi pod. I'm sure from the hip or standing is way different. Thank you for your service.
Rambo had no problem,one handed.😂😂😂😂
Hk 308s are some of the most comfortable guns to shoot. First time i shot one I remember how people told me they have harsh recoil, then i pulled the trigger and the gun kissed my shoulder. Very tame even compared to an akm which itself isn't that harsh.
The only AR I have with the "low shelf" is my AR-10. It'd be interesting with a forbidden coat hanger

I have an AR .308 Diamond Back semi auto 18" barrel with a muzzle brake it's sweet, but I can't imagine it on full auto!! Sweet video Colion!!
308 for life!
Bro I love the enthusiasm this dude gets when he shooting it's awesome.. that same enthusiasm man. Great vid.
This thing in home defense would equal massive home repair bills after a break in lol
Worth it lmao
always worth doing a HELOC for 'home improvements' lmao
As long as you survive who cares
I built a 10.5" barrel AR10 with a pistol brace. In Washington state it is illegal to carry a loaded rifle in your car but a concealed rifle caliber pistol is A Ok! It also avoids a tax stamp.
“This thing is a thumper, but I LIKE it”!
😂
Dude I absolutely love your genuine reaction to firing this beast. It almost seems like a love-hate thing but the ridiculousness yet practicality of firing it seems to have won you over.
I guess putting a 100 round drum in that beast would equate to putting a 10” lift on your 4X4 with square tires. lol
And, he can still install the retractable stock on that puppy, too!
I think he's in love...
But.... I wanted the bullpup stock. 😢
These should be available in every hardware store in America, no questions asked.
Wife: why can't I buy new clothes for the kids?
Me: 👀
😄😄😄
I just bought a PTR91 from a friend who works at the local gun shop and I love it!
Oh man that looks like fun
Ahhh the joy hearing the sound of freedom. LONG LIVE THIS GREAT REPUBLIC!!!
That would be the perfect gun for any social work you might need. Maybe my friend Sleepy Joe will let me get one for Christmas, if I get him a lot of ice cream. God Bless my 2A brother's and sister's! Sincerely Ruger Rich
I built a 12.5" .308 from scratch about 6 months ago...it has become my one and only. Waiting on "that stamp" to complete the build. It's loud asf, but it is butter smooth. Very easy to keep on target...
Its like if Ashlynn Brooke walked up to you and said, "I am going to rock your world all night long." Then next morning you find your home cleaned, laundry done, bills paid, dog been walked and breakfast waiting for you. It just keeps getting better and better!
"This setup is just sexy" Is that where the word _Ammosexual_ came from? lol
the muzzle blast alone would roast intruders alive
Yawn, glad Video Games did not rule my reality when growing up.
Man, I LOVE the way it sounds!!!! This rifle is sick!
I wish the OG HKs were still imported but knowing HK they'd probably be super overpriced
They’d still be worth it ..
That's why I have them...
You can still get hk91’s that were imported 40 years ago for a decent price.
HK51 + Suppressor = Perfection
The SAS & SBS used these for a short while.
Think of it in a similar way to the A10 Warthog's "Brrt"
If you heard it, you weren't the target.
YES!!! Full auto is EXTREMELY FUN!!! And...it's extremely EXPENSIVE!!! It hit's the wallet hard enough with .223/5.56's...but with .308/7.62x51's???? That would be some serious $$$$!! Great video!!
Ah, yes, the MP5 for big boys...
The sound alone makes this one a keeper.
Beast mode HK , And yeah we should all be able to buy and own these without restriction. Hoping one day we can get BACK our freedoms, ALL of them. Much love and respect!
poor babies, good you never had to shoot rifle grenades or old fashioned bazookas...
Colin you handled that like a Boss!!!!!
Looks like the most fun you could have with you clothes on!!
Hell, take them off and shoot that firearm.
Clothes on or off, this rifle produces stiffies and slickies alike
I know that feeling amigo, I recently purchased a PTR-91, its a fuggin beast! One of my favorite firearms! ❤❤❤❤❤
Oh wow-- That is insanity!!! Living in CA really stinks-- I would be all over that. Heck I'd buy 2 of them. The first rifle I ever bought 15 years ago was a M1A Scout .308 that I still own and love. Very accurate even with iron sites. Was thinking of getting a Socom 16--- closest I can get to this in CA ugh!!!!
I love seeing those who still get giddy when shooting. Awesomeness
Can we please have the remaining parts to the video series taking apart that comedians gun control argument. 🙏
YES
Oh and by the way, I think you meant to put “comedian” in quotes. He’s not funny
I know you must be busy. But yes!!!
@@CoolPapaJMagik not humorous at all..he is...
Love HK, had a few I wish I’d never sold.
YES! The .308 round. The one designed to kill the enemies of our great Republic, unlike the .223, which just pisses them off. ;-)
HOORAH ! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
If you get hit by a .22 cal. round you will not be happy Junior.
@@HighSpeedNoDrag From the three times I was shot by the round, it burns like nobodies business, and to say that I was unhappy, is a gross understatement. Lucky I'm still here.
This just came my #1 on my wish list, keep up the good work💪💪👍👍
An HK51would make clearing a building of armored adversaries much easier. Considering HK is mainly a military supplier, it seems logical for their purposes.
Firing this in a building would be, well, obnoxious to say the least. Painfully obnoxious
That smile says it all
“Why don’t people do this more often?”
Cause we have to get daddy’s permission to do a sbr compared to a background check for a rifle and pistol but a sbr is somehow more Dangerous then a pistol and rifle, so that’s your answer
Sickest recoil control I’ve seen in a while
Colion - "I'm not here to look sexy."
Narrator - "That was a damn lie."
Those HK SBR’s look the best with the fixed HK style stocks 🙏🏿
I have the PTR version of this that I bought specifically for bear protection and wolf protection in bear and wolf areas when hunting and hiking :)
Im building an hk53 . Love these guns ! Ive got a cetme C hk g3 hybrid that i built off sarco. Made an hk33 and was hooked. Now im building an hk53 and mp5 . Cant wait
If our Four Fathers could see that beauty, the 2nd amendment would be three pages long, just to guarantee no confusion on shall not be infringed.
The sound alone will make anyone on the receiving end quiver and run!
This is a battle rifle… anything inside 300yards gets destroyed. The cyclical rate is actually pretty nice.
its only a battle rifle if you use it in battle. For now its a range gun
It's a really cool gun, but with an 8" inch barrel it's more like a shittier 7.62x39.
My shoulder hurts just watching ...... I Like It !!!
PTR makes a couple different "pistol" variants. I've considered picking one up to Form 1.
Having shot a PTR 51 8" .308 i can confirm it is a riot. The one I shot just had a brace but was ringing steel at 100 yards no prob.
You really had me smiling on full...oh yeah!
Noice! I’ve got a 13” AR-10 and I love it! Now it needs a binary trigger… 😆
Stick a can on that, and it’s gonna be a sweet shooter! 😁
Binary triggers are cool but they got nothing on the forced reset triggers.
@@constableodo9738 That sounds really interesting too, I’ve never had a chance to try one yet!
@@jpoeng I've got a binary trigger on my 10/22 and they are so much fun....get yourself a forced reset though..man you will smile from ear to ear.
@@constableodo9738 I like the idea of having the third position on the selector switch instead of the two position on the FRT. I think someone has a forced reset trigger with 3 position safety switch
@@briandaly6868 I just wish we could have that full auto setting without prison time or costing an arm and leg.
That is the best sounding rifle I've heard.
The empty cases are just starting to land now.
Love your videos! Respect from Canada!
Less velocity than a 7.62x39. That’s the only reason why I personally wouldn’t buy one.
Truly the sweet spot for that platform is 12” 7.62x 39. Really controllable and minimal loss of FPS . I have it in semi and it’s pretty amazing. I have a 16” also but the 12” is better in every way . It has no trouble hitting out to 300 with boring repetition.
I got a 13.5" LMT .308 barrel pinned and welded, to be over 16". With a Smith Vortex flash hider, it seems to have little to no flash, but I have not tried it at night. It is loud, but fun.
This is a gun created by people who hate shoulders.
😂
i went to a indoor range once and a guy came in with one of these in full auto with a surefire muzzle break when he fired it you could feel the concussive force threw your whole body it was crazy
I'd rather let my kids watch colion than woke tv
Pure joy in this video
"... And I Liked it..." loved the exited grin too!
Colion , You Sir Are A Lot Of FUN !
I got me a ptr91 last week. I know it’s not exactly an hk51 but I still love mine.
I love these videos. Your video on the ruger pc charger is what convinced me to "pull the trigger" and buy one, and your review was spot on!
Thanks for taking the time to make these!
