- Finally got my guitar back last month, so I decided to celebrate by playing a solo from one of my favorite bands. Messed up some of the epic bends at the end, but hey. Hopefully gonna start making more vids soon. Oh yeah, and jeff loomis is the tits!
That was nearly flawless. Being able to play anything that Jeff wrote is badass in itself if you ask me.
Thank you man, nevermore is sacred to me and my friends, we live near seattle where they are from and we payed 40 bucks for a meet and greet ticket right before they split up, I got pics with jeff and warrell and yeah I shake in my boots when I attempt jeff's stuff lol, I appreciate your comment man I havent heard from ya in a while :)

This type of phenomenon always makes me wonder if they gave up guitar completely or just didn't want to do youtube anymore.

yea im still alive. college distracted me for like 6 yrs. i had to go buy a cheap guitar last year and start playin again, lmao. im back at it again these days maybe ill make a vid
@@DiminishedDarknut did your muscles atrophy in your time away from the guitar? Did you have to beef up your technique by hitting the metronome like weights to build back up your speed or did you just pick up the guitar after the 6 year break with your technique not really affected? And welcome back!
@@jamesryder9158 Picking wasn't affected but yes my left hand got easily tired and had no calluses etc. I got legato and calluses back now though. The best part about having to relearn stuff was that I dropped a bunch of bad habits in addition to having forgot so much in general. So.. my mind is like, more critical than it was before? And I didn't have a bunch of bad habits in the way, so I was able to refine a lot of techniques and see things I was blind to before etc. I'm also less afraid to overhaul my technique and learn new things because I haven't played in so long it's like, what's the worst than can happen lol.
