According to Wikipedia it should be 0 - 100 in 8,9 seconds. But I drive the same car and I can assure you that you can easily shave a full second off that time. Big thumbs up for this pocket rocket!
The aero makes so diferences. My Mk3 Golf with the 1.6 8v and 100hp makes 210+ Km/h, i would say 212 or 213 (on speedometer). But its a bit slower to get to that speed. Nice litle car you have here, should be a handling machine ;)
@@2hordern Maybe your is, my friend. How can a 100HP car with a drag coefficient of 0.30, 1050kg and a short gear ratio (where the fifth gear tops out at 210kmh when reaching the rev limiter at 6500rpm) make only 168kmh? Are you crazy? That speed is for the 75HP version for sure. The 100HP one makes that speed in forth gear...
The 100 hp version, With a fuel consumption of 7.9 litres/100km - 36 mpg UK - 30 mpg US (Average), 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) in 11.2 seconds, a maximum top speed of 117 mph (188 km/h), a curb weight of 2293 lbs (1040 kgs), the Golf 3 1.6 100 has a naturally-aspirated Inline 4 cylinder engine, Petrol motor, with the engine code AEK (94-97)/ AFT(95-97) / AKS (96-98).
This car on the video is definitely not slow, mostly when having in mind its horse power and price, so your comment sounds like envy or just bad quality trolling.
@@Shutululuup Much better than something I bet it would be, but surely not better or faster than this Polo. Specs of both cars, for example, tell clearly that this Polo is on a whole different league. So that must be trolling, which is typical from many civic owners. Actually there are many jokes around civics, mainly and only because of their owners claimns. Just check on youtube for ricer cars and civics, for example. But there are many on google too.. And it´s a pity because Civics are actually quite decent cars. The 1.6 vti vtec is probably one if not the most powerful 1.6 atmospheric engines ever made. And very likely the best. I had one (1997 Ek4 1.6 vti vtec) and it was really good. Great sound, great performance and great reliability.

+Jil Steiger I have a polo GTi and there is no button to turn esp off
+Jil Steiger it's a 2000 6n2 haha. And there's nothing underneath my air con controls other than the ashtray, your English is pretty good
+Jil Steiger I'm in the UK, and maybe 😊
I believe that ESP is an additional option like the sunroof, because my does not have it either. :)
+J. St I'm from Sweden - maybe the year of making has something to do with that? :O
acc quite nice and looks like hit limiter ;)

Doesnt really have a "short gear ratio" if you think 210km/h is possible that would be quite long gearing to achieve 210 in 5th.
I don't own one, I'm just surprised because 100hp isnt very much power
nice, I gues this is stock?
***** It´s Stock, believe it or not...
Ks??
Hy. Can You make video acceleration to 100 km/h by changing gears at 3000 o/min rpm ? Thanks
i think my granddads e bike would go faster
