My grandparents had the fortune to see a clean river full of life (little fishes, edible plants) but me and my brothers/sisters don’t have the pleasure to swim and enjoy it that.

I really wish people would care more about the oceans. The ocean is something special to me. I wish people would just care more about pollution and not do it.
I'm 58. I can remember , as a wee nipper, feeling a sense of fulminating RAGE if I found that some ASSHAT had left a cigarette butt in the sand of the lake beach we went to swim at. I shudder to think what the beach lifeguards have to deal with now. Lewis, what have you done to yourself?
Poor boy broke his thumb a while back and they had to stop playing shows with the NZ national orchestra, nasty fracture and dislocation if I remember correctly

It's the fishing industry and their nets that are the bigger deal, time to wake up guys... It's time for you to really educate your damn selves.. That's the biggest polluters of plastic.. The outer control fishing industry! And yes plastic sucks... Look into the kid who has a documentary because he was big on the plastic pollution and big on the refusal straw thing.. He found it much bigger problem that the fishing industry is the culprit with miles and miles of plastic fishing nets piled up .. It's all bad . Don't get me wrong .. over fishing and that industry's pollution is huge part of the problem , but where's all the outrage about that?!?!
God, makes me feel so homesick. When I was a kid, there was NO plastic on the beaches or in Tangaroa. Breaks my heart.
