all the talk of cycling had me WINDED 😭😭😭 also love the inclusion of films! really loved Perfect Days as well :) have yet to get to La Chimera! thank you for the reminder
Lol, the cycling was exhausting! Yes, would really recommend La Chimera such a quirky film. Perfect Days was so good- I watched your vlog where you visited the toilets from the film literally the day after I watched it by chance!! They looked so cool
I love that you are a fan of Primo Levi's work too because I don't hear anyone talk about his work! His collection of essays in The Drowned and The Saved impacted me the most.
Ahhh Perfect Days was sooo good! I'm really curious to read Wild Palms by Faulkner, which is one of the books he reads in the film. I've never read any Faulker so think I will start with Light in August and then, if I enjoy it, will eventually get to Wild Palms. Really enjoyed this vlog! Love seeing all the nice nature bits and loved your chat about films. Fingers crossed you find a truly amazing read soon!
@melissaisreading yes, such a good film! I tried The Sound and the Fury by Faulkner but was honestly a bit confused 😅 I think it's maybe not the best place to start, so would be interested to hear your thoughts on Light in August. Thanks! fingers crossed 🤞
I really recommend Paterson, it's lovely, quite romantic. No is also very good. Mubi is a really good subscription to have. I really enjoyed the blog thank you for making it 🧡💛💚
Thank you!! I will definitely check out Paterson- thanks for the recommendation. Yes, absolutely loving my Mubi subscription! Glad they kept sending me offers ha ha
@eriksoltvedt7552 thanks 😁 I've not read the Accidental but would be interested to pick it up once I finish her seasonal Quartet. She's a very unique author!
Hi Sarah, good luck with your reading this month. I've been catching up on a lot recently! I've got a writing group that meets each week to discuss a different author. I would love if you would be interested in joining :) Josh

@annabel156 Primo Levi is such a great writer. The Drowned and the Saved is one I haven't got to yet! Really looking forward to it 😁

Always looking forward to your new videos :) Have not read Ali Smith's Winter. Only ever read The Accidental by her, which I loved.

I also got pulled back in by the same mubi deal. Ema is the first film I watched on mubi a few years ago, I liked it.
@@aaronoffline8049 ha ha, such a good offer! Oh great, I'll definitely check it out!
How you have a great reading month.
Just discovered your channel ❤ You look like Franco Colapinto (complimentary) ☺️✨
@@nastikata just had to Google who that was 😂 thanks- maybe it's the eyebrows 😅
