I hate downloads too! When companies go all download, I'm going all out! No more gaming for me at that point, well.... I won't be buying any new consoles with NO GAMES made for them!!!
an alternative for physical copies in the future is play-asia. As the asia version is mostly physical even for games that are diital only in the eu or usa regions.

No echo on our voice through the mic...
The microphone is only needed to evaluate your singing. There shouldn't be any sounds

That's why it's rad to do back ups of games, and if you can modify a certain system you can always download backed up of the games digi as well.
