I think I use nearly half of them with garlic & salmon roe. The rest of my potions start with blue mountain flower+hanging moss mostly with lavender but bone meal is a decent substitute. That's how I get 70 Alchemy for Green Thumb and never mix another potion. Easy peasy, dragon squeezey.
More Nordic Barnacles cane be found in an underwater ruin in the lake near Falkreath. I found it by going up river from River Run (hunting for Samon Roe and ingredient fish). It can be found above water with the stones sticking out of the water just offshore
I feel you. I've been playing since release and I'm now finding out stuff 10 years later. Best advice is to just play to get a hang of how it works, then later on you can play around with the different aspects.
remember to also complete "a return to your roots" (find 30 crimson nirnroot) for the perk that gives you a chance to make two potions instead of one when you craft
@@froilanflorentino1252 thanks for that ive been playing skyrim for 10 yrs have over 6,000 and alchemy is my fav skill but thanks lol but its an alchemy guide not speech
@@DavidVenters Just want to help, it really ease my early gameplay when I still don't own a garden for ingredient harvesting and not explored enough for all landmark fast travel plus it's much better than waiting for my plants to grow or for other ingredients all over the places I cleared to respawn. But hey doesn't hurt to have alchemical ingredient surplus with speech byproduct right? Besides speech rise up naturally with anything that we sell. I apologize if I offended you in any way, it's just that I want to help the other players in anyway I can.
With a greenhouse and garden at Lakeview manor and the farm at Golden Hills Plantation, plant 18 Creep Cluster and Scaly Pholiota, and 30 Mora Tapinella. This will give you 90 of each ingredient per harvest without the green thumb perk. Train speech with Sadri in Windhelm up to 50 by making and trading the potions to pay for it and get the merchant perk. Being able to sell potions to any vendor is a must. After a few harvests your alchemy skill should easily be at 90, get 3 ranks of experimenter and eat one of each ingredient you have to reveal every effect. Be sure to always be picking ingredients and buying out the ingredient inventories of every alchemist vendor.
Best potion for Low Level Alchemy is Blue Mountain Flower + Blue Butterfly Wing + Wheat. It takes about 80 of those to get to 100 Alchemy (with 5 perks). Starts at 315 gold and finishes at around 2800 gold. This is at level one character with no perks. (No one-shot killing giants.) If you have house with greenhouse addition, you can harvest all 3 ingredients. Otherwise you have to hunt the butterflies.
If you don't want to fight giants or can't fight giants, you can easily find these items; creep cluster, scaly pholiota, mora tapinella. Plant these items and they respawn every 48hrs. If you have three houses you can plant one at each outside and the potions themselves are also really good at raising your level. I just finished doing this method, checked my stats and had made almost 900 potions but considering after 3 cycles of visiting your gardens you'll have about 100 Tapinella and 160 of the other two its not so bad, you'll have to spam the craft button with an alternating two finger approach to do it quickly but like I said, not bad.
This is hands down the best method in my opinion! Thank you, I will always use this for now on. It only took an hour to get to 100 an that was mostly wait time.
You are like the best game tutorial guy ever the most in-depth I’ve seen in a while and you actually take the time to thoroughly explain where you’re going and what you’re looking for love your videos. Thanks for all the help.
Chicken eggs work as a replacement for nordic banacles when you run out of them. You can easily get salmon roe from hitting surface level schools of fish with Fus.
I usually only do potions which will complement my gameplay. Steel-Blue Entoloma + Creep Cluster + Glowing Mushroom = amazing Carry weight + fortify destruction + restore magic. Extremely potent potion on survival. 5 Steel Blue Entoloma + 3 Creep clusters + 3 Clowing mushroom = 30-45 potions with Sinderion surprise. Steel-Blue Entoloma + Mora Tapinella + Scaly Pholiota = amazing Carry weight + stamina regeneration + fortify illusion + restore magic (yes, 4 effects) . Extremely potent potion on survival for vampire. Steel-Blue Entoloma is a new ingredient from Rare and Curious. And is the ONLY ingredient which you can grow. I assume that it's because it's the only ingredient that doesn't have higher effect multiplier like all others.
FYI...5 piece Alchemy Set (Falmer Helmet), Ahzidal's 4 piece set (bonus to Enchanting), Black Book: The Sallow Regent and Curios ingredients yields; 122% Fortify Enchant potion, Alchemy gear with 54% (on 5 pieces) and Fortify Smithing potion 305%. No resto glitch involved. Helps to have Severin Manor in Solstheim for bouncing in and out of Black Book.
I would like to reiterate, as I said in your potion post, that you can go “infinite” on potion making without resto glitch. It might be that case that you haven’t mentioned yet at the point in the video I’m at (25 minutes in), but Dreugh Wax and Spriggan Sap can replicate the Resto Glitch, and isn’t a glitch.
@@playoffrondo8927 Normally, when you create Fortify Enchanting Potions to create a new set of Fortify Alchemy Armor, it will naturally cap itself at around 29% Fortify Alchemy, iirc. But, a Fortify Enchanting potion made from Dreugh Wax and Spriggan Sap will not be subject to a cap, because it is 2x as powerful as normal Fortify Enchanting Potions. You’ll have to make several sets of armor, but you will replicate the Resto Glitch with only intended mechanics, therefore no glitch required.
@@secret12392 I see, but to me it would seem more practical to have a let's say a single 100% fort alchemy ring than 4x25% or rather a full set, ofc this is a base number and as you said you can get higher numbers with dreugh and sprig but my point still stands. Currently with the resto loop I got myself a 300k% smithing and alchemy glove which is mighty fine if I do say myself.
The new edition also added an armor set called "Relics of Ahzidal" and if you wear 4 pieces you get an extra +10 to your enchanting. With the full buffs, you can make the set 34%
Furthermore, I also found that by planting half my garden with canis root and the other half with imp stool I could make a ton of paralyze poisons that raised alchemy pretty quickly. I like your videos.
Can't believe i watched this 2 years ago when it was my first time playing this game, now I'm modding the game it feels nostalgic, maybe i should play the game without any mods..
Remember at the beginning of the game to save Falmer helmets. They can be worn over circlets at make everything more powerful when crafting. Also the most expensive portion is Boars Tusk, Salmon Row, and Fungus Stalk. It's big money. I have a few worth $20,589. Nice job again on a good tips and tricks video. I did not know the restoration glitch so that should be fun to try. Thanks for all you do! 😉🖖🏼🤙🏼

I’ve played Skyrim since it’s launch and this is the best guide for the resto glitch. I’ve never tried it myself and I’m still lost on the fortify alchemy armor for some reason but thank you for all your hard work good sir. Talos guide you
A great potion to make is Histcarp, Salmon Roe and Salt Pile. It's actually the best potion I've discovered so far in terms of skill leveling and price.
@@danieltirico6593 I don't make it for the effects, it's a high price item and boosts your alchemy skill like crazy, especially if you have the thief stone activated, you're well rested, and you return an item from one of the Argonians in Riften to a Dwarven mine. Stacked!
For the Kajiit trader only ingredients, you actually can grow the Steel-blue Entoloma! I would highly recommend doing another sweep through those to see if there are any others.
It is true that you can grow Steel-blue Entoloma. However, for folks not playing the anniversary edition, that ingredient is actually added by the Goblins creation kit, not the Curios kit.
Thank you so much for all you do. I am getting back into the game and plan on finishing it this time. I too many times start a game and restart it because I change my character. But I think I will stick to one type of play and finish the game for once. Thank you again for all your videos. They are all so helpful!!
Absolutely amazing guide, collecting all the skill books to make a reading room as well. Wondering if you we’re planning or thought about werewolf/vamp lord skill leveling guide.
For the deathbell/river betty/salt pile potion, the salt pile isn't needed. Deathbell and River Betty is all that's needed to make a slow/damage health poison. If you replace the salt pile with bleeding crown, though, it will add weakness to poison.
Okay Fr tho I have been watching ur vids for a while and never get bored. Thank you so much for all ur videos and guides. You make them so enjoyable and entertaining as well as super in depth.
You can find a ton of mushrooms around falkreath and a good amount in blackreach as well as any where with falmer. And alchemy ingredients are pretty easy to find by doing quests like the dawnguard quests where the locations can respawn in Valerica's lab and Florentius' station once you recruit him. There is also any dungeon or fort where mages hide out will have a ton of ingredients. Some great quests to do would be the dawnstar quest, the azura star quest, the mage of winterhold quest has the station that respawns with ingredients as well and if you complete the questline then you have the archmage quarters that respawn as well with ingredients. There is the alchemists shack that has a lot of ingredients inside and outside of it on the way to Ivarstead. As well as a cave nearby with a bunch of bears and bee hives to harvest from that all respawn and a bunch of canis root in the area too. If you help Narfi and give him Rayda's necklace and tell him what happened to Rayda he will give you a load of rare ingredients as well and thank you on top of it for giving him closure. If you have anniversary edition there is that Myrwatch place over by Morthal as well with a ton of ingredients. But morthal is a great location for ingredients. Ustengrav which is nearby will always have giant's lichten by the stone pillars sticking out of the ground that you can harvest. I always mention it in alchemist videos, but for those who don't know before you start your next playthrough there is a basket in helgen in the room where you are tasked with grabbing potions. The table by the exit door has a basket on the ground that basket has 4 rock warbler eggs in it and it will always be 4 rock warbler eggs. They are giving you an early start to alchemy. If you loot the sacks and grab the garlic too you will get salt and garlic which mixed together gets you a good amount of pocket change early game but is also used in cooking depending on if you are doing survival or not. But there are a ton of ingredients escaping helgen if you pay attention. There are the garlic cloves, the frost miriam, the elves ear, the salt, the bone meal off the skeletons, the spider eggs out of the egg sacks, the skeever tails out of the skeevers wrapped and hanging in web from the cave ceiling and the bear claws from killing the bear. Then when you leave there are snow berries right off the bat right at the exit and mora tapinella a bunch of different types of flowers, thistle, butterflies so much and all of it is just waiting to be grabbed as you walk past to make you money. You don't have to think about it as you walk past and grab it either.
Great vids mate hope you are well. I was just watching best thief and now watching best mage guide then I’ll watch this. I still love Skyrim, made a Nord warrior for anniversary edition on Series X and now his lvl 129 and I’m 130 odd hours in. Have done some dawnstar chests at the start and have abused the alteration fast travel exploit and I’ve created a monster 😜 😜. Also still done heaps of quests, main story completed for the 1001 time, dawnguard completed, done some anniversary quests, married Sylgja, no mods too. And I feel like making a female Altmer mage using your guide too. Still have heaps to do on my Nord, find all dragon masks, dragon born dlc, and faction quest lines too 😱 still love Skyrim heaps and thanks for channel great stuff. Long live Skyrim ❤️ 🐉 ⚔️
I got my alchemy to 100 in 3 sessions without the thief stone, I just walk to every city and pick up literally every ingredient I see and save up until I finish like at least 5 quests
Bear Claws + Giant's Toe + Hanging Moss makes a potion that does Damage Magicka Regen. + Fortify Health + Fortify One-handed, with a base value of 846 gold, as opposed to the potion you made (Creep Cluster/Giant's Toe/Wheat) which has a base of around 824 to 831 gold. One of the easiest potions to make early-on in the game is a potion of Waterbreathing using Chicken's Egg and Salmon Roe (which you can harvest from the leaping salmon in the streams). It really boosts the Alchemy skill and is worth 15x the coin, where a Fortify Health made from Giant's Toe is only worth 5.9x the coin. Just sharing what I've learned.
Excellent video! If you head to Dawnstar’s alchemy shop and get the quest to obtain the Ring of Pure Mixtures, either disenchant it or pickpocket it off the shopkeeper you’ll have a scripted Fortify Alchemy enchantment at level one. Try to at least obtain the quest early though, because it can glitch and not prompt if you wait too long. Bonus points if you start the White Phial quest in Windhelm since both quests use the same location. Also Krosis is a scripted Fortify Alchemy too if you’re enchanting isn’t high enough to make something better, but defeating a Dragon Priest and Dragon can be tough lower levels.
Fun fact: Krosis can be fought at nearly any level. Also, you can run krosis out of fireball staff charges with enough restoration and magicka. If you have enough magicka potions to spam sparks at krosis after his staff is empty you can kill him without him being able to fight back :)
When you introduced the ingredients from Morrowind, besides being a Master Alchemist, you also became the biggest cause of high potion prices in Skyrim.
Commented on your survey that Alchemy is hands down the best for the others bc of the Resto loop and you ended with it. Thanks for the Rare Curios section, I only knew of a couple of them.
The goldenhills plantation is a great place to grow ingredients, with 2 fields to plant in. I already have hundreds of tons of ingredients, more than what I will probably ever use, lol!!!
Great vid, just got through it all. This could have been a 2 hour long video if you dug deeper into what potions and poisons are actually good for. Poisons are generally straight forward and overpowered but... With the right potions you can be nearly anything you want in the game. Want to be a great archer without having to improve your archer? Mix up a bunch of potions and poisons that help archery. Want to be a great enchanter without enchanting? Mix up some enchantment potions. Want to go balls to the wall with a greatsword and light armor but don't have time to raise your level in those skills? Make the right potions to fortify those skills and whoop some tail! You can have never improved any of your combat skills, never put a single perk into them and still be a monster in combat because of your potions. If you are willing to go through the hassle of drinking lots of potions you can really find a brand new way to play the game that is completely unique from other playstyles.
I think the biggest hurdle with your strat is the 60 second cap, and lower for poisons. I can make easy 100k% fort destruction let's say but it will only work for 60 seconds and there isn't exactly a timer on screen lest you open up your menu mid fight so you might get caught off guard

this is indeed the ultimate guide.. but I made it 100 at the whiterun alchemy vendor and since its really easy compairing other methods, cant do any other way anymore..kill the vendor reload it buy every ingredient make potion sell the lady and kill her again..after some hours my speech and alchemy was 100 + got really strong enchantment and smithing potions. good vid. anyway..
another alternative for fortify+restore health potion is: blue mountain flower blisterwort wheat combine these three and it will have the same effect as the one in 26:00
Use the mod "More Growable Plants SE" which allows you to grow 24 more types of ingredients such as crimson nirnroot, various eggs like chaurus, gleamblossoms, yellow mountain flower, moon sugar, and ingredients from solsteim (created by numberland & Dracula420)
You can use salt and Abecean Longfin or Cyrodilic Spadetail to make the resto potions. A much more common ingredient. Still not sure why nobody mentions this.
@@masontroglen3413 Eating an ingredient only shows the first effect, unless you have all three Experimenter perks on the Alchemy perk tree. Here's a cool tip for efficiently exploiting the follower pick-up duplication glitch: 1. Go to Mzulft the Dwarven ruins (far East side of the map, between Windhelm and Riften) 2. Head inside the main doors and drop your items on the flat ground of the entryway, have your follower pick them all up 3. Head outside and just to the South is the Dwarven Storeroom, a separate building. Head inside here and repeat step 2 4. Head outside and re-enter the main ruins to see all the items have respawned, have your follower pick them all up 5. Head outside and re-enter the Storeroom to see all the items have respawned, have your follower pick them all up And there we have it, two zones right next to each other for super fast duplicating and no fast-travelling needed. This is due to how the game loads and refreshes when transitioning between outside and inside zones like the world map and dungeons. You'll find that the number of items diminishes with each trip until nothing respawns, but you can simply re-drop and have your follower re-collect as many times over as you want.
make a video on collectables like onehanded collectables(swords, axes.maces), two handed ,daedric arifacts etc it'll make up for another good series like this one. Btw keep up the good work.
Once again I have to reiterate how much I appreciate your guides. Because even though I use alchemy all the time I still learned a lot from watching this video. So much stuff I didn't know and will use in the future. Your guides are easy to follow and easy to understand. I tried to watch another guide on youtube the other day and the person sped up the video so fast that it was literally a pointless video to make and it was unwatchable I couldn't even see any of the details or follow anything of what they were doing and instead of explaining what it was they were supposedly showing us they were talking over it with unimportant details that didn't pertain to the video at all. It was so frustrating I actually ended up leaving a dislike on it and explaining to them why I disliked the video. I try not to dislike videos but this one was the opposite of helpful and instead wasted people's time and frustrated them. There were nothing but angry comments under the video. So once again I reiterate how much I appreciate your thoughtful videos! You have gained a new subscriber! Also, I wanted to share something I learned about the game recently that most people might not know yet either. Collette was right. Restoration is actually a totally valid school of magic. The reason why is it is valid for using during battle and for training to learn other schools of magic. So, I found out that if you have the atronach perk in alteration and you use the circle of protection spell, the magic from the spell refills your own magic not only during battle while you stand in it but while you train whatever skill of magic you want to learn. So another words do you want to use a spell you know is costly towards magic? Pop down a circle of protection spell and then use the spell and your atronach perk will activate giving you your magic back for as long as your circle stays up. Has a dragon used that annoying drain vitality shout on you? Pop down a circle of protection spell and you can use healing spells again and get magic back and if you have the perk in restoration that lets you get stamina when you use restoration spells then you have restoration as well. But the coolest part is, you can do this to level up restoration on a continuous loop over and over again and any other magic skill as long as you have the circle up you will always have your magic full. It is brilliant. You don't have to spend 11,000 gold in Kolbjorn barrow or talk to the illusion mage in winterhold to focus the magic points to get that little buff for a few hours. As long as you have restoration and Alteration you can level up any other skill as many times as you want. I have not tested if it works with the atronach stone or not. It might for those who don't want to level up alteration. But alteration is one of the easiest skills to level up. I tried it with Stendarrs aura but for some reason it does not work the same. I think it is because the circle of protection is an area of affect spell that can affect even yourself if you are undead where as stendarrs aura only affects others and surrounds the player. It is not an area of affect spell. That is the best I can make of it. I found out too it is helpful to pop down a circle of protection and then heal your follower to full health then you heal yourself and that way you are still at full magic and you haven't wasted a single ounce of magic even after you both may have just gotten out of a tough battle or caught in one of those difficult trap areas lol. Anyways, please do share this and pass it on! It saves so much time and effort. I think this is the underlying message the devs were trying to get across with collette that Restoration is actually really OP if you know how to use it properly. It isn't only used against undead but against any enemy. It is huge for a mage build of any kind for unlimited magic. There are moments where Skyrim will be skyrim so just be warned there will be glitches where your atronach perk won't always take effect when you want it to. But it almost always does without fail. But then again that could just simply be because I have some mods downloaded that caused my character to glitch out here or there to make her perk cut off every now and then. But either way this was truly an amazing find for me and way easier for me than trying to follow all those difficult walk throughs that people show.
If you want toes you should also go to the orc stronghold southwest of Riften. There is usually a giant there, and you'd get the mission (eventually) to clear out the cave east of Riften where there are 4 more. That stronghold and cave replenish with giants relatively often. Plus if you build hoes, you can have a garden and a greenhouse where you can plant Creep Clusters, Mora Tapanilla, and Scaly Pholiata which can be combined without killing anything.
One of my favorite potions everyone seems to overlook. It's simply Wheat and Blue Mountain Flower. And make Fortify Health and Restore Health. 2 ingredients to help you stay alive
Lol. In that case i need some help with something regarding the order of leveling the crafting skills, which ones should I prioritize leveling and what order: Smithing, enchanting or alchemy?
@@zopheir5019 well it kinda depends on the build, but I'm assuming the build you want will use all 3. Alchemy and enchanting can basically be leveled at the same time due to the ability to make fortify enchanting potions and then enchanting gear with fortify alchemy, and just go back and forth making stronger versions which will level them up quicker. There is also an exploit/glitch with fortify restoration potions that will boost your gear enchantments, but I try not to use exploits. But simple answer, if you are going to level all 3, I always start with alchemy bc it seems to be the easiest and it can boost the speed and effectiveness of the others
Inventory. R(drop) Home(jumps down to 1) Enter(confirm) So you don’t have to drag the cursor or wait as the arrow key glides down through every number. Save you a bit of time perhaps
If you're one of those people making multiple character because one day you feel like being a mage and another day you wanna be a thief then just level up your alchemy and make potions that let you play that role lmao
After ALL these years this game never gets' boring ...and thank you to all the good guys that post game helps.. Looking forward to Bethesda releasing The new Skyrim.. (not holding my breath)
I think I figured a way to cheese the leveling up system even more, rather than using the telekinesis strat, use resto loop to get yourself a crazy percentage glove or ring with fort alchemy, after that just legendary the skill, make some rando pot (I used blue mount flower and whear since they are in abundance) and grind away.
I have been binge-ing your videos of late trying to make a character with 100 in every tree. Mostly looking through the timestamps of the ultimate build video. Thank you.
You could always drop these have follower pick them up and comeback later and also pick them up yourself. I also go to all alchemy stores and buy everything. I usually go to Rittenhouse and go through all the barrells as well. Go to the light house and get all the chorus eggs you will ever need also get the green thumb so you can double what you get.
Im on my first play through ever... I feel like I'm in Skyrim school. There's so much to learn. I think I'm lv 20 or so. Doing fine but I'm def missing out on alot of things.
Love your videos. But I think this one went outside the scope a little bit. I didn't need a golden hills plantation walkthrough. Anyways just some constructive criticism.
Also you can pay to level up alchemy, and steal your money back (Higher thieving allows more money to be stolen at once) (They will level you 5 times, then you need to gain a level yourself, spend it on magika/health/stamina, and they will teach you 5 more times, level up and etc)
Currently working on mastering Alchemy, Illusion, Conjuration, and Speech. Playing an Imperial woman who uses her 4 main skills to travel around bend people's will and gets rich while doing it . Then in the end game she becomes a vampire queen after contracting vampirism has an undead army plus max followers . So ill start out by joining the College o Winterhold, then Bards College, and then I'll do the Dawnguard DLC and join the Castle filled with vampires. Any more role-playing ideas would be most helpful but I'm going to focus on making a mage type character that doesn't utilize combat skills really and instead uses support to destroy her enemies.
My favorite alchemy recipe remains: Jarrin Root, Human heart, Blisterwort. There are mods and ways to get more than just the one Jarrin Root from the Dark Brotherhood questline...
Just for anyone who doesn't know, in Whiterun, there is a pool of water right in front of dragonsreach with Nordic barnacles in it!

One of the guides I can say with confidence I can see myself using in every play through.
This is the true alchemy guide I was looking for thanks for the info!!!!
Plant one kind of plant at each of the three houses. Then collect and mix 'em up. (remember the herbs by taking a screen shot)
This is hands down the best method in my opinion! Thank you, I will always use this for now on. It only took an hour to get to 100 an that was mostly wait time.

My suggestion for just leveling up/money is to plant
20 mora tapinella
12 creep cluster
12 scaly fiola
In the goldenhills plantation
If u have heartfire plant in ur yard it’s amaziiiing
You are like the best game tutorial guy ever the most in-depth I’ve seen in a while and you actually take the time to thoroughly explain where you’re going and what you’re looking for love your videos. Thanks for all the help.
Chicken eggs work as a replacement for nordic banacles when you run out of them. You can easily get salmon roe from hitting surface level schools of fish with Fus.
I feel so idiotic, spending hour to catch all those fishes with hands
Can you link your other comment or elaborate a little more? How can resto glitch effects be duplicated without actually glitching
@@secret12392 Hmm, I used Glowing Mushroom and Dreugh Wax and capped at 305% Fortify Smithing potion. Reckon I need to try Spriggan Sap just for s&g.
These videos have reignited my love for this game.
Blue mountain flower, lavender and hanging moss is a really good potion.
The new edition also added an armor set called "Relics of Ahzidal" and if you wear 4 pieces you get an extra +10 to your enchanting. With the full buffs, you can make the set 34%
I coulda sworn those were accessible in the Dragonborn DLC
@@roonkolos yeah Ahzidal was always with the Dragonborn dlc. I believe its the quest where you did out a ruin on Solsthiem
There is also a skill book that buffs enchanting another 5 or 10 points

The best alchemy guide I have seen yet. There are dozens of bad ones out there, I appreciate this!!
Furthermore, I also found that by planting half my garden with canis root and the other half with imp stool I could make a ton of paralyze poisons that raised alchemy pretty quickly. I like your videos.
Add mora tapinella for extra poison damage
Can't believe i watched this 2 years ago when it was my first time playing this game, now I'm modding the game it feels nostalgic, maybe i should play the game without any mods..
Remember at the beginning of the game to save Falmer helmets. They can be worn over circlets at make everything more powerful when crafting. Also the most expensive portion is Boars Tusk, Salmon Row, and Fungus Stalk. It's big money. I have a few worth $20,589. Nice job again on a good tips and tricks video. I did not know the restoration glitch so that should be fun to try. Thanks for all you do! 😉🖖🏼🤙🏼
I love that you are playing 2022 I'm just about to power level alchemy just did your enchanting walkthrough yesterday now it's alchemy woooooo skyrim life
I’ve played Skyrim since it’s launch and this is the best guide for the resto glitch.
Isn’t it a water breathing potion? I may be wrong but what’s the effect it gives?
@@danieltirico6593 I don't make it for the effects, it's a high price item and boosts your alchemy skill like crazy, especially if you have the thief stone activated, you're well rested, and you return an item from one of the Argonians in Riften to a Dwarven mine. Stacked!

For the Kajiit trader only ingredients, you actually can grow the Steel-blue Entoloma! I would highly recommend doing another sweep through those to see if there are any others.
It is true that you can grow Steel-blue Entoloma. However, for folks not playing the anniversary edition, that ingredient is actually added by the Goblins creation kit, not the Curios kit.
i like how you casually mark out the giant locations like anyone here watching this is going to be able to fight them xD
Haha!!

Thank you so much my dude

10/10
LOL I feel the same about the mounted heads. Pointless. The alchemy information is greatly appreciated. Thank you for the video!
I got my alchemy to 100 in 3 sessions without the thief stone, I just walk to every city and pick up literally every ingredient I see and save up until I finish like at least 5 quests
Congrats on completing the skills guide. All thats left is cooking guide in skyrim.
Thanks for the info in completing the farm quest, for the life of me could not figure how to get that done.
Yeah except i got all the ingredients and wont let me fkn make it... Bs

11:37 Dude you killed me with this tip 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.
God tier guide thank you 👍🏻
Great vid, just got through it all.
@@samuelginting3213 hotkey the potions you use most to ease the pain but youre right. You do need to chug them often and you dont have a ticker telling you when the time is up.
60 barnacles can be found at Hela’s Folly.
I could be mistaken, but I think Babette in the Dark Brotherhood carries Rare Curio alchemy ingredients. If Chokeberry is one of them, I got most of my Chokeberry from her, and much more reliably.
this is indeed the ultimate guide.. but I made it 100 at the whiterun alchemy vendor and since its really easy compairing other methods, cant do any other way anymore..kill the vendor reload it buy every ingredient make potion sell the lady and kill her again..after some hours my speech and alchemy was 100 + got really strong enchantment and smithing potions. good vid. anyway..
another alternative for fortify+restore health potion is:
blue mountain flower
blisterwort
wheat
combine these three and it will have the same effect as the one in 26:00
Good video! I just swam around and did the fortify restoration loop and after like 40 positions I was level 100
I have the ingredients but it doesnt show up in fort resto? Why i? I have all ingredients and even ate them it just says salt pile
@@masontroglen3413 Eating an ingredient only shows the first effect, unless you have all three Experimenter perks on the Alchemy perk tree. When you are using a alchemy lab on the left side is a list of potions you can make. If you do not see the potion on the list, it is because you haven't discovered it yet. If this is the case, scroll up to Ingredients, and select two, such as salt and Abecean Longfin. This will show a Potion of Unknown Effect box. Craft potion. If it makes a potion, such as Fortify Restoration , it will show discovered effects as well as the potion made. Hope this helps.

Here's a cool tip for efficiently exploiting the follower pick-up duplication glitch:
1. Go to Mzulft the Dwarven ruins (far East side of the map, between Windhelm and Riften)
2. Head inside the main doors and drop your items on the flat ground of the entryway, have your follower pick them all up
3. Head outside and just to the South is the Dwarven Storeroom, a separate building. Head inside here and repeat step 2
4. Head outside and re-enter the main ruins to see all the items have respawned, have your follower pick them all up
5. Head outside and re-enter the Storeroom to see all the items have respawned, have your follower pick them all up
And there we have it, two zones right next to each other for super fast duplicating and no fast-travelling needed.
For leveling alchemy I always just made water breathing potion. Hiscub and salmon roe. Afterwards u can sell them for gold. Should level speech also.
Thank you for all your tutorials. I enjoyed Skyrim a lot.
This is exactly the guide I was looking for.
Thanks for making this! I know it had to take a long time to make, but I've been enjoying you guides

@@zopheir5019 I've got over 2000 hours into the game and I'm definitely thinking I should start making UA-cam videos lol

When you are strong enough to kill giants money shouldn't be a problem. I've just been going to every alchemist and buying all their ingredients.
Thank you for an awesome guide without cheating. Amazing.

You can make a five peace alchemy suit with glove, ring, necklace, circlet and falmer helmet. You can also use a penitus ocultus helmet.

Truly amazing video. So helpful, thank you.
Death bell + Cainis root+imp stool makes a powerful poison that paralyzes and does up to 15+ points of damage depending on your level can do 50+
What about garlic, salmon roe and nordic barnacle ?
It makes a very expensive potion of water breathing.
Nevermind..... you did it later in the video.
Did not mention the high amount of dragons that land there holy crud
Fishing adds new ingredients too.
blue flowers and wheat are basically everywhere and do health plus max health. my go to healthpotion.
Alchemy is one of the best skills in the game guys to be super op be sure to listen to everything he says then go watch his god guide.
Chaurus egg, Luna moth wings, namira's rot is 2nd
My favorite alchemy recipe remains: Jarrin Root, Human heart, Blisterwort. There are mods and ways to get more than just the one Jarrin Root from the Dark Brotherhood questline...
I use blue mountain flower, hanging moss, and nightshade for a very expensive poison. I make good money
All this time I thought alchemy was a mage skill. Learn something new every day I guess.
For fortify resto, its OK to go to the hundred thousands, just not hundred millions, that's just overkill
