This was brilliant! I thought a got lost at times and had to adjust the darts (they looked wrong in paper already with my measurements), and it fits so nicely! I'd just need a bit more space to get my head through more easily. Thank you!!!
Thanks very much for being a great teacher and helper for some of us that loves sewing so much am one of your admires I really appreciate you may Jehovah God guard and protect you in Jesus name and may he continues to give you more wisdom and you live long to enjoy the fruit of your in Jesus name thanks once again
Good day my dearest I love love you and your teaching. I made one of your patterned dress. But sitting me can not get to make the patterned for the top of my box pleated dress top
Thanks for the tutorial pls I would like to ask that by the time I remove the half inch on the waist line and the back will it still be equal wit the the front by the time I want to join
Hello Bilikis...thanks for the updated version of the basic bodice. Please my question is this; some people teach that to get the chest line, the armhole measurement starts after the 1inche shoulder slope, that is, after diving bust by 6 and adding 1.5inches, you impute what you get after the 1inch shoulder slope. Please what's the implications of doing this? Thanks.
That’s my question too,coz if ur arm hole is 8inches and u impute 1 inch for the shoulder slop that means u will remain with 7 which is less ☹️☹️.But unfortunately she won’t answer 😢 .
Thank you very much ma for this detailed tutorial. Please I have a question, when you insert the chest line which was 8” you went down by 1” won’t that shorten the armhole since now it will be 7”?
Is there any reason for this new choice of yours of getting rid of zipper bulge over the previous? I am just curious because I use the other method and it works perfectly. Maybe I can try this if it does the same thing.
Well done madam and God bless you richly. But pls ma, I notice u slanted d shoulder after u drew ur armhole length. Will this not reduce d armhole length? I'll appreciate ur response ma .
The basic bodice is to check the fitting, so we don't have to give seam allowance to finish it.Maybe if you want to make a real garment, then you have to give allowance to finish the neckline .
Thank you madam. Seam allowances have been added, but what about a zipper allowance? Also, my front is longer than my back half length. How do I go about it?
Nice video but there's something I do not understand pls. I just started learning tho... I noticed you already marked the vertical waist on the paper, from which you got the shoulder line, thus, serving as the starting point... Pls I don't understand
Good morning ma. Anytime ibuses this pattern for very plus sizes. The chest line doesn't fit in. It's usually small and i end up using free hand for big people and pattern for small people. Can you please do a tutorial for plus sizes.

Hi ,about the shoulder drop what if I want to make 5inches neckline
Hello Bilikis...thanks for the updated version of the basic bodice. You simply take your armhole one inch lower to make up for d shoulder slope. Hope this helps 😊
Very detailed one thanks a lot
Thank you for the video,I noticed you didn't add allowance to the bust span, will it not reduce after sewing?
I thought as much, that should be a mistake, because, it will reduce to 7inches
And there was no zip allowance
I want to join the monthly class
Great work, please make a tutorial on keyhole blouse.
I am new here. I am interested for the online classes
Hello Bilikis, well done. Am interested in the monthly sewing class. How do I get started? Thanks
Yes. It would be great for you to do the plus size bodice by itself.
Do you know any fashion designer apps please 😢
Thank you very much ma for this detailed tutorial. Please I have a question, when you insert the chest line which was 8” you went down by 1” won’t that shorten the armhole since now it will be 7”?
No it wont
Dis is nice, since u came up by half an inch on d back bodice, does that mean u won't have puffy zipper at the back?
Yes,you won't...it automatically lays flat.
Exactly
Is there any reason for this new choice of yours of getting rid of zipper bulge over the previous? I am just curious because I use the other method and it works perfectly. Maybe I can try this if it does the same thing.
@@Olajumoke-c3t Do what works for you
Can u also write ur measurements on ur video I am a beginner and it is easier 2 remember while watching
Well done madam and God bless you richly.
But pls ma, I notice u slanted d shoulder after u drew ur armhole length. Will this not reduce d armhole length?
I'll appreciate ur response ma .
Please i want to join ur online class ma'am
Very detailed video ma but please what is wrong with the previous one u did?
Nothing
Ma , please can we have a basic bodice for plus size???🙏🙏
Well done ma. Ma, is bust dart not required here?
What about the zip allowance at the back
Thanks for this tutorial. In a case of a full blouse, how do I remove the half inch at the waist line to eliminate buff at the zipper?
Come in at the center front 1/2inches and draw the line to the neckline or the chest line
I have the same question
Does it mean that the back bodice doesn't have a zipper allowance?
I guess you can add it if you need one. Usually 1.5 "
@bilikis signature.i observed you don't add seam allowance to the neck line .why is that so
The basic bodice is to check the fitting, so we don't have to give seam allowance to finish it.Maybe if you want to make a real garment, then you have to give allowance to finish the neckline .
What do you mean by the "nail" to the waist measurement ma?
Nape to waist😂
Good morning ma please ma if you mark armhole as 8.5and you mark shoulder slop by 1 the end the armhole will not be short or tighty
Mam I can't understand at 5:20

What is chest line and bust point 😢
Thank you madam. Seam allowances have been added, but what about a zipper allowance? Also, my front is longer than my back half length. How do I go about it?
**one for plus size plzzzzzzzzzzzz*🤗
Nice video but there's something I do not understand pls. I just started learning tho... I noticed you already marked the vertical waist on the paper, from which you got the shoulder line, thus, serving as the starting point... Pls I don't understand
Shoulders slope differently.
Good morning ma. Anytime ibuses this pattern for very plus sizes. The chest line doesn't fit in. It's usually small and i end up using free hand for big people and pattern for small people. Can you please do a tutorial for plus sizes.
for plus size you go up 2 inches above the bust line, and 2inches below the bust point, as against the 1 inch used here
First

You have to increase the drat intake for plus sizes.
