- This classic double action pistol has been produced since 1931 and is still a favorite for personal protection today. In this GunTec presentation Larry Potterfield, Founder and CEO of MidwayUSA, examines the classic PPK . The PPK has been chambered in 22 Long Rifle, 25 Auto, 32 ACP, and the 380 ACP. It features an exposed hammer, double action, no magazine safety, and fixed sights. It is perhaps most famous as the handgun used by the character James Bond in Ian Fleming's popular 007 series of movies.

One of the best PPK's I've seen on UA-cam, really like the blued finish and brown Bakelite grips.
Pre WW2.

Unreal. I came here after that showdown with Omar.
@greygoosevodka1 yes. The PPK has been James Bond's standard issue sidearm for the majority of the movies. He had been using a P99 , but switched back to a PPK in the latest.
Initially 007 carried a Beretta 1934 until he was forced to carry a Walther ppk
Did he misspeak?... isn't the PPK & the PPK/s - DA/SA ??? being "Double Action" on the first shot then Single Action on all after that... with due respect - Larry made it look & sound like it is Double Action on all shots fired... or am I wrong here?
Great series of new vids. I wait for these videos like my girlfriend waits for new episodes of true blood.
Vote for Ron Paul, to improve and expand gun rights!
No Bond reference?
The thumb safety...and blocks the hammer. WOW!!! :-D (laughing non-stop)

I think I might buy one as my first pistol. It's either that or the P232. I spent lots of time when I was a wee lad watching Sean Connery whoop ass. I'm a James Bond fan; and that's the way it is.
Hello sir nice vidios nice pistol ppk walthar 32 acp
Bond..... Jame Bond.
@greygoosevodka1 YES
I have a the FEG PA63, which a Hungarian copy of the Walther PP. It is chambered for the 9x18 Makarov. It shoots half inch groups at 15 yards, and has a stiff recoil; but it is my everyday carry gun.
I love the PPK. But one of the only guns that utilize the same straight blowback design and shoot 9mm , 40, 45 are the hi-points. I didn't know that till about a month ago.
It's midnight and I am replaying all the PPK/PPKS videos on youtube.
Just can't get enough of the PPK.
comrade trump gon be makin

Its a nice looking gun but I would rather buy a bersa thunder in 380 and save a bunch of money. That's just me

The "k" is for "kriminal" crime investigation. So the meaning is like detective. Maybe like with Colt's "Detective Special"
