My last FotS game I actually started allying imperial aligned clans left right and center, with the intention to never have to declare a war on one of them to expand. Because they would have spats and start killing eachother, I'd honor my alliances by joining on the defense and then just steamroll over the attacker. It's really nice because I have a buffer zone between me and the shogun clans, I have high income from trade, military access to other clans and free map vision. And whenever someone breaks the alliance I compensate the decrease in trading profits by just capturing their shit. Call it the big stick foreign policy
@@Dino_Stan no joke, modern Warhammer is the most unoptimised shit I've ever seen, FOS is like 2 GB, while Charlemagne Attila is like 15 GB. Warhammer is like 80 GB. The most fun I've had in the recent Total Wars was with Rome 2, and that one is like Ancient by now, eight or six years old. The modern ones just aren't as fun.
