Your videos are getting much better. Cheers🎉 A bit of extra fact, the Black Carapace of the Astartes makes their armour like a literal second skin. The neural interface is complete enough that the armour even tries to replicate the small movements caused by laughing and shrugging. In comparison, non-Astartes wearers i.e, Sisters and Inquisitors who lack the interface capability from the Carapace have a more cumbersome experience, also, the auto-senses provided by these models of plate are also reduced along with life-support and communication capabilities. Nontheless, the defensive and offensive advantages are still significant compared to these slight drawbacks.
40k is seriously the absolute best. We really need some 40k fans to creat a show or trilogy of films or even a cinematic universe. If the creators aren't fans prior then they shouldn't be able to make anything about 40k. It literally has the most potential for being such an amazing film or show
Henry Cavill who is a huge WH40K fan (and great actor I might add) has been talking about creating a series, but he realizes that to do it justice would mean a SERIOUS capital investment by whatever production company that takes it on. There were rumors of Amazon Studios doing it, but I feel their track record on these kinds of IP (LOTR, Halo, etc) has been terrible. If they messed up a WH40K show the community would eat them alive.
The WH40K books describing power armour have varied a bit over the years, sometimes depending on the writer, but tend to go into far more depth ( as you would imagine ) than the games do. Space Wolves books with Ragnar as a Blood Claw, isolated behind enemies lines, sneaking up on enemies, crawling along on " toes and fingers in complete stealth " in their power armour....the armour was totally silent and had such a level of refinement that they could kitten crawl up to unsuspecting foes ! A fully armoured Chaos marine sprinting after a fleeing hero, leaping up stairs in a blur of movement, covering metres at every step and moving so unnaturally, so unlike a human, due to their modifications that it was like being pursued by some primal alpha predator. Marines leaping across gorges, climbing rock faces, sprinting and fighting with such speed that a normal human just perceives a blur of motion. This is the natural speed of a marine, completely unhindered by the armour and actually augmented by its strength and enhanced senses ( unless a space wolf, where the helmets limit them )
That lore isn't that inconsistent. The marines can take off their armoured gloves and I imagine their boots too, I've seen the glove thing in a few books. Now when it comes to the stealth, its always been said you could usually kind of hear the power pack as it's always in a low whirr while it powers the armour. You could also hear the equipment in the joints move when the marine did, the only armour these were almost completely fixed in was the Corvus pattern stealth armour. Even so, I think that marine probably could've done it seeing as he was moving real slow
Well thats what happens when you gail from ultramar. The mere presence of Cato Sicarius nearby ensures you are loved by the emperor and armored by his splendor.
I was surprised that you actually touched on mk.9 power armor aka runic armor from the Space Wolves Chapter. You can find out more about this in the paper back codex used during the 5th edition of 40k.
Fantastic video, dope ass break down of the armor versions. Need more like this. The way he says artificer threw me off every time he said it. Are tif is er.
Congratulations on creating an amazing UA-cam video! Your hard work and creativity really shine through in every frame. The way you presented the content was so clear and easy to understand. I was truly captivated from start to finish. Your talent for engaging viewers is incredible. Keep up the fantastic work and know that you have a dedicated fan here who can't wait to see what you create next!
This is written at the start of the video. I'm going to call it now, if you want to know more about Warhammer 40k Power Armour, they're MANY purely 40k focused videos that will go into vastly more detail and lore accuracy. Posted at the very end of the video. They glossed over some parts, didn't mention some at all, but what do you expect from a channel that covers such a wide variety of topics
Normally AI art wouldnt bother me, however this video is literally about the specific types of armor and talking about what makes them different. It kinda would be confusing for a new person trying to learn when they hear one thing while seeing another. Colors and symbols actually mean something on the armor, so seeing random armors when your supposed to be showcasing specific models is weird. It would be like talking about specific Spider-Man suits and just showing random images of red and blue spandex bodysuits. "The armor gets its name from the lightning pattern that adorns it" Shows random AI armor instead of Thunder Warrior Armor. You already showed it once, just show it again when your talking about its appearance. Just show on screen what your talking about. If you can type the armor type name into the script your reading, than you can type it into google image search lol
Bro I love how everybody attacked the primaris for their look yet the look came from the mark 4. Also love this, really wished people or companies would design something like this for real. Ik its possible but people say its unethical. Also space marines in warhammer operate more like master chief. Being beyond rare that they ever deploy in chapter strength. They will deploy to a combat zone from 1 to 5 space marines and it is Absolutley unheard of when a space marine dies. So when they take there helms off its to even the odds and give the enemy a false since of hope to kill a marine. Ik warhammer shows marines getting killed in the 100s to 1000s but marines live for 100s to 1000s of years with the same amount of warzones under there belt. If they died like they did in the games theyd never make it past a few years
Bro it is no where near possible to make Astartes power armor, if that kind of technology was available people would be using it.... like if you shoot a modern tank with a 30mm GAU 8 Avenger round you can defeat that armor but that would not be enough to defeat ceramite plate and if a neural interface system that could react like the armor system you paralyzed people would be able to wear a suit like to move around again or, people missing limbs could get permanent cybernetic replacement limbs attached. Astartes armor is not just armor it is also a space suit, have you seen modern space suits? People can barely move in those things. I don't know why you say making armor would be unethical, were you talking about the genetic enhancements the Astartes get? If we could do that people wouldn't have to get transplant surgery, we can't build replacement organs let alone upgrades.
The complaint against the Primaris armor was that GW was transitioning to a more sleek and clean art style, not that the armor design itself looks like an evolution on the previous versions of power armor. Making it for real? Lol That is pure fantasy. We absolutely cannot make things like the nuclear fusion power pack, black carapace control system, or even the systems that drive the limbs and boost the strength of the limbs. Even just the environmental systems would be a monumental task, like the other commenter said just the systems that allow for operation in a vacuum like space are so bulky as to make it infeasible
...we are currently working on several of these technologies. For paralyzed people we already HAVE this kind of nerve sensing technology and are working to perfect it so they can walk, use their limbs naturally, etc, the armor is also possible between actuators or hydraulics, the problem isn't that its impossible, its that its extremely impractical because it wouldn't work like it does in the games. Any heavy caliber rifle or vehicle gun will likely penetrate modern materials used at the thicknesses used in wearably sized armor and destroy a multi million dollar piece of tech.
Thanks God they finally covered this series It's got so much cool lore and endless easy content for them to make It's like a gold mine of free ad revenue 🤔
My favorite will probably remain the MK.X Phobos armor with MK.X Corvus helmet. Preferably with jump pack and grav chutes. It’s a perfectly silent armor with adequate protection, lower profile and maximized mobility and sensory equipment. You can add on FLIR thermal integrated sights/targeting systems, cameras, long range transmitters ,and other such devices on it as well if you need them.
OMG! You covered Xenomorphs then the Yautja and now 40k! It's weird how you follow my interests! I have this habit of finding a topic that interests me then exploring it extensively and intensively before moving onto the next.
very informative. Thanks. I played 40K when it was played on an actual table but have not played the PC games much. I wonder though, is there a 40K computer game where you are actually playing a single space marine in a first person shooter? That I would buy...
Warhammer 40k boltgun, it really sells the power and strength of a marine. Alternatively if you don't mind third person shooters, then you can play... Warhammer 40k space marine
But i really like the woman gettin into the massive power armor. Reminded me of the dreadnaught tech but scaled down and uses the "skin suit" im assuming for interface, really cool.
Will edit based on rest of video but 1:16 you got it wrong, space marines are the best foot soldiers of the Empire of Man, the Emperor's golden boys dunk on SM's, as do more than a few units from other races... They are far from the best in the galaxy
Tissue paper armor. In most lore I read on wikkis and through dedicated channels, power armor is described as a "wonder off engenering" and some form off a game changer. In actuall books however it fails so often and performs so badly I took to calling it tissue paper for its inabillity to do its only intended job: protecting the life of the one wearing it.
@@quarkedbutt3957 Nah, it's simply more convenient for writters to make armor useless. Depicting armor as more then just a "cool" visual requires effort and imagination. Right now the balance in 40k is, that even a basic combat knive could turn power armor into paper armor.
