    The highlight of this video for me is where you mentioned how you have cared for professors!! Life screws us all😫
    At a point I needed to administer medication to a pharmacist who was a service user and she refused; then I now have to explain to her the importance of the medication so as to encourage her to take it...Care is so rewarding but it's a difficult job if you are not a COMPASSIONATE and an EMPATHETIC! Thank you mama for sharing

      I can imagine the scenario between you and the pharmacist. Old age can unravel lots of strange characters in humans.

    Yes Chi, career job is very rewarding and really has job security. All the things you said is very true. One without compassion and empathy shouldn’t go into it. My first job when I relocated to 🇺🇸 was in a home with people with developmental disabilities. That job really changed my perception about life. Some have not even fed themselves since birth until adulthood. They never chose to be born that way. Thank you for this video, I know it will help one or two people out there.✌️✌️✌️

    I always say that being a nurse in a hospital can't be compared to homecare. I've done both and I realised homecare is very deep than hospital work. I'm referring to Ghana. In Ghana homecare entails alot. U do everything for the patient whilst in the hospital, the duties are shared amongst us. I'll say my experience in both has helped me but homecare has elevated my skills

      @ChySpace  2 роки тому

      Hmm. My hubby is her on a work visa dear. Coming in here on a work visa, you are required to work either 35 or 40 hours a week, which you can cover under 3 to 4 days a week and the rest if these days na off days for you unless you want extra shifts

    • @kmurigz3642
      @kmurigz3642 2 роки тому

      The 40 hours contract will be spread throughout the week and you will end up with one or two days off … unless you get night shift which will be 10 hrs or 12hours per night… And yes most sponsors will not allow you to work anywhere else until you finish the contract with them . Which will be 2.5 years renewable if they still need you.

      It's not disputable sis. Its our culture to care for our parents in our own homes but her they have a culture of taking care of their aged parents in the care homes which government provide certain percentage for their upkeep

      Again, I don't know how you understand it. Govt takes your house when you old,to enable you get into care home because you don't have enough money to pay, or you did not pay enough tax to sustain you. Is that pride? Also you must know,nothing goes for free in Europe

    • @ChySpace
      @ChySpace  2 роки тому

      @@blessingokpighe5729 Blessing dear, the working hour schedules in Europe is far more better than what we have in our country. It gives everyone who is willing to work an opportunity to, including nursing moms. People can cover as low as 2 hours, 4, 5, 6, ...to 14 hours of shift depending on your availability and what you can do. I have seen bankers working from 9:30 am to 2:3 pm 5 days a week. A Nigerian friend of mine also works in the bank for just 2 days a week. Why is this so, because they have children and that was officially considered. Will anyone ever be giving such working hours condition in Nigeria? No! Instead working mothers leave their house 5.am trying to beat traffic especially those living in Lagos mainland working in Island. I hope you recall the official working hours in Nigeria for professionals. How about sales girls--working longer hours.
      Your assertion about the whites not caring for their aged parents is not totally false but wrong. About 60% them do care fir their parents and children even though, husband, wife and children might be living in the different houses on the same street. They don't have that culture of over dependent where a 20 year old in Nigeria is still not considered a man. They don't believe in being a burden to their children at old age hence they have enjoyed their youthful life, their children and their families should too.
      Now in the case of government taking over houses when owners get into the care homes is justifiable. Westerners don't acquire wealth for their unborn children like we do. Some of their children become financially responsible before ever they turn 18 and above. Why you want to keep a house that you can no longer maintain or live there? Your children have all grown and moved on to different cities with their families. Families are always coming visiting their aged parents at the care homes or employ support workers who goes to their parents homes to support them daily. Why won't they govt sell the house, use the proceeds to support your care in the nursing home? Most whites are not interested in inheritance.

      @@ChySpace I must disagree on some of your views especially regarding some of the elderly forced to sell their house to pay for their care package . I happen to work with many of the clients but I haven’t come across someone’s happy that the house they worked so hard all their life’s to pay for is taken from them because of the high care costs… every single one wants to leave the inheritance for their children and their grandchildren… Also the U.K. population higher on age group 75years and above whereas Nigeria higher population is 20years to 45years …only mentioned Nigeria since you referred to this on your comment… but this goes to majority of other African countries…

    The way you are talking about U.K. Care work and the care system feels like you’re paid off to say so… there are many flaws to it but you’re misleading many … You need qualifications to be a caregiver and that’s why all the sponsors offering work visa have to train you for 3 months before you can start working..
