I discovered Julie Felix from one of those cheap compilation tapes in the 80s, a two tape collection compilation alternating between her songs and songs by the Foggy Dew-o. I’ve always loved her voice, but this was the song for me. So many people have covered it, but this was nice.
Julie Felix.... Well, when you hear her singing, than, you know she can performing....She's always been a personality. Once(somewhere in the sixties) she was described as: "Britain's First Lady of Folk". And this version discerns from others.... Julie sings it stronger in a steadfastly way. But it's certainly a good one.
Beautiful...and poignant..I think Julie Tullis ..the first British female to climb K2...died on the way back from the top loved this song. In memory of her and all others who've died chasing the dream
Having lived during the 1960s and later, I have to say I've only discovered Julie in the last year or so. How could I have missed such a talent?
A very fitting memory, and superb platform, for the beautiful and multi talented Julie Felix.I really miss her .Almost exactly ten years older than me.
She had such compassion for people . She , was there when needed . Bless her .
What a beautiful clear voice. There is something in her phrasing and diction that reminds me of Rosemary Clooney.
I do miss you, Julie. Thank God you have left us your amazing voice.
Just heard she has passed away. So sad . She had so much talent.
A lovely woman.
I'd forgotten what a lovely voice she had.

Thanks for posting this song. I remember hearing this version about 12 years ago and I really liked it. I've been hoping someone would put it up here.
