This makes me so sad, every time I listen to this it takes me back to my childhood and all the memories I had of having wishes and dreams that I hoped would come true some day. God the nostalgia.
This exact version was played at my Great Aunt's funeral just a few days ago. She loved Disney so much and I always thought of her as the very embodiment of Disney. She was the most positive and joyful person I've ever known. She actually went to Disney World 7 times in her life she loved it that much. Me, my Mum, brother, sister and Nan was lucky enough to go to Disney World with her and my Great Uncle when I was 7 years old in 1998 courtesy of my Nan which I'll never forget. Rest In Peace Aunt Maureen, we all love and miss you so much. I'm glad there's so many grand memories of you. Until we meet again in the next life.
As a kid, Walt Disney World was a place of magical memories that stood the test of time. At almost 54 years old, I still get goosebumps when I step on main street and gaze down the street at that majestic castle. The music, the smells, the flowers and shrubs all help to make each visit just as special as the last. I go often, as I live about two and half hours away and so season passes made sense. I don't think I will ever grow tired of the place, and especially as I get older and my energy levels are decreasing, I seem to spend more time, slowly recognizing all those tiny details I would rush past in my youth. I always seem to notice something I didn't before and so discovery is always something new for me, each time I go. This song is my go to song, when I am missing the park or the feelings that are stored in my mind. I will put this on and let it fill the room where I am and in a matter of a few measures, I am back in my happy place! Thanks for sharing this song with me, I cannot tell you how much it means to me to be able to listen to it. I am not sure if Heaven will have anything like WDW, but I just couldn't imagine it being heaven without it, so hopefully, when I am done on this earth, I can visit the World for all eternity and I hope they pipe this song throughout the entire place!

Hello everyone ik this may be a lot to read but please don’t turn away to another comment before reading it. This song is such a magical song and It means a lot to me because I have high functioning autism and most recently diagnosed with ptsd as well and I am only 21 years old. The story of this song began for me when my grandpa was dying a couple years ago and I was going through a lot in my life at the time. I almost lost sense of Disney magic at the time due to what I was going through but then I listened to this song and it made me happy and calm and I started wishing on a star for my grandpa to get better and told my family I was to and they kept asking me to do so because the Disney magic it was working. I then sang this song to ,y dying grandpa for the last time in the hospital a couple years ago they said he would not make it and when singing it me and my whole family was crying a lot. However he came home the next day after singing this magical song and was home for awhile but then he went back to the hospital again and passed away. I was listening to this song when mom came in my room and told me he died tans I remember hugging my Mickey Mouse stuffed animal really tightly. RIP to my grandpa I miss him a lot but now ik he is a Star watching over me even though he didn’t really like Disney as much as me. Disney magic really is real keeping wishing on stars everyone.

I already had a feeling, but I still asked her the title of the songs. As soon as I heard "When You Wish Upon A Star," I quickly answered Pinocchio. She wanted to play Frozen or something, but then I was like, "that's sweet, darling. Thank you. But I want the Pinocchio one. Please?" She played it for the first time. Idk whether to laugh or to be touched. It wasn't perfect of course, but I love it.
