I had a Browning AB3 in 270 WSM, which put Federal factory Trophy Copper in the same hole at 3300+ FPS! All the WSMs are good hunting cartridges, yet forgotten?
U are right about the 7 rum i could see 3300fps with 175 i have 2 of them one with a 162 sst lil over 3400fps the other with 150 accubond at a screaming 3558fps both factory barrels great video as always
That’s a great video - what no 500 Jeffery - 505 Gibbs? In my opinion the most underrated cartridges here are the 7mm RUM and the 8mm Remington. Out of all of these the 378 Weatherby is still my favorite. Just bone crushing power that shoots as flat as a 270 Winchester. I will never sell mine. These guns all come with a muzzle brake for a reason - even with one recoil is substantial and muzzle blast is off the charts.
Super fun vid. Maybe you could do a follow up with the slowest in each caliber 😁. And if it’s just to give the poor SAAMI approved 450 Bushmaster some love
7.82 lazzaroni warbird outpaces the 30-378. 180 3500 fps and sako offered the trgs rifle in it as the custom price of the lazzeroni rifles. They do offer factory ammo...my bro has it in the sako.
This will be a cool vid. Primal Rights made a .20 cal wildcat (I know, I know... wildcats aremt factory so they don't really count) that shoots a 32gr at 5150fps.... he showed it on his Garmin Xero C1 test vid and it's insane! I ran the numbers in strelok pro and it's literally 0.0 MIL Elevation at 100m, 0.0 MIL at 200m, 0.3 MIL at 300m and 0.7 MIL at 400m. 500m is just 1.3 MIL. Drops like a rock after that though and I'm pretty sure barrel life is going to be under 600 shots lol. Absolute screamer though!
@@Chabrinklo6.5 I believe it is a 24 or 26 inch? Just my guess. I think it's a 6.5 PRC case, improved and necked down? Not 100% sure. *might be a creed case actually
For factory ammo in 30 cal, remingtons 30-06 accelerator loading does 4100, also art alphin of a square submitted the 257 and 6.5 stws to saami and built factory rifles

Wanna start off by saying I love your videos. With that out of the way I have a bone to pick with 2 of your choices, and it all stems from your 6mm pick. You dethroned the 240 wby in favor of the 244 h&h; a cartridge so dead it's already fossilized. That opens up so much to nitpick about your other choices given equivalent criteria. If the h&h is alive enough to make the list then so is the 17 rem and 223 wssm. I know the 17 rem is hanging on by a thread and you could argue the 223 wssm is just as dead as the h&h, but compared to the h&h it's hard to say.
@@ReloadingWeatherby I get it. In factory 223 wssm seems to mimic 220 swift, at least from what I've seen. I'm really just going off capacity because you said it's 46 and 49 for the 220 and 22, and the wssm sits right around 56.
My 25 PRC shoots a 154 grain Berger hybrid @3200fps. I'm sure it could shoot a 100 grain bullet over 4600fps. It's the king of quarter bore! My 6 PRC shoots a 108 @3500+. Shoots a 80grn VT at around 3800. It's the king of the sixes!
Great video… 8x57 Mauser much more popular and also chambered in many new rifles and lots of factory ammo than the 8mm mag. 8mag is all but history now. 9.3x62 much more popular that the x64 bren, 9.3x62 older been around since 1903 I believe likely killed more Cape buffalo and Lion than just about any other one cartridge as it was created for European settlers in Africa way before the 1st WW. Rifles are still chambered and plenty of factory ammo loaded fo4 it.

The 425 Westley richards was the 1st rebated rim cartridge made back in 1908 followed by the 500 jeffery in the early 1920s

Thanks for your comment. I did not intentionally leave off the 17 Rem. That was my mistake. 223 WSSM seems to match 22-250 Remington.
