Thank you for this awesome series. Precisely what I need. With a forward tilted, slanted shoulder, petite armhole (I am 5'0") and C-cup bust that has dropped, the order is crucial. B4 this, I might have started with the bust before realizing the effect of subsequent shoulder alignment or forgotten to shorten sleeve to fit a new armhole etc. I am going to make an order-of-operations chart. Can't wait for next installments! Love you for this!

Jen where were you 30 years ago or it could be more when I had to work all this out for myself. The pdf with the correct sequence to follow is a brilliant idea. I am enjoying watching your videos.
Should this armhole raise adjustment be done with the sleeve not being inserted? If so, how would I know how to shorten my armhole? I’ve worked on muslins and they are dropped down very low, but I can’t figure out where “normal” would be. Should it be where the curve of my underarm sits, or should I add the sleeve and see how much it constricts? I hope this makes sense.
That is a good question. I adjust my armhole if it's significantly hanging low or if I can feel it pulling up in my armpit. If it looks close, you can leave it alone until you get the sleeve in. Hope that helps! Thanks for fitting along with me
If you're making a fitted bodice or top, the raw edge of the armhole should be approaching your arm pit... Not right in there, but not hanging down along your side. The looser the top, the lower it can hang. Similar to when you're fitting pants, snug pants need a crotch curve that touches your body vs. loose pants or trousers can have some space between you and the crotch seam. Think about the base of the armhole like it's a hinge. The good news it that if you don't get it right now... when you put the sleeve on, you will easily be able to tell... If the armhole is too low, you will feel the snugness when you try to raise your arms! Hope this helps, thanks for fitting along with me
