Set my wallet down next to the weight/blood pressure machine in Walmart because I wanted an accurate weight without it. Got up and continued shopping for maybe 3 minutes before I realized id left it. I was only in the next isle but that fast someone picked it up. I went to customer service where I was basically told they couldn’t do anything about it. But once they realized I wasn’t going to let the issue go (especially since I was stranded with no way home except my feet in the dead winter and probably a 2 hour walk) and that I wanted them to atleast review the cameras to see if the person was still in the store. I was told to wait and sure enough a few minutes later an employee comes up to me and says she just happened to find my wallet in the bathroom. My monthly bus pass, bank cards, & I.d. Were still in it but of course the only $250 in cash I had to my name was missing. Which I knew the second she handed it to me the cash was gone because I was at a Walmart in the hood of Philadelphia. The same Walmart that was destroyed/looted during the protests along with many surrounding stores.

Set my wallet down next to the weight/blood pressure machine in Walmart because I wanted an accurate weight without it. Got up and continued shopping for maybe 3 minutes before I realized id left it. I was only in the next isle but that fast someone picked it up. I went to customer service where I was basically told they couldn’t do anything about it. But once they realized I wasn’t going to let the issue go (especially since I was stranded with no way home except my feet in the dead winter and probably a 2 hour walk) and that I wanted them to atleast review the cameras to see if the person was still in the store. I was told to wait and sure enough a few minutes later an employee comes up to me and says she just happened to find my wallet in the bathroom. My monthly bus pass, bank cards, & I.d. Were still in it but of course the only $250 in cash I had to my name was missing. Which I knew the second she handed it to me the cash was gone because I was at a Walmart in the hood of Philadelphia. The same Walmart that was destroyed/looted during the protests along with many surrounding stores.
