This was a great interview and how interviews should be handled by these studio leads! Give the player some insight on production as well as answering common questions from the fan base! Great job Thomas and Canadian Guy! My hype and excitement is through the roof!

@@jeromemccalla9520 I love the 2 versions although the design of the Crash 4 Wrath of cortex looks aggressive and more evil. The design of NITRO KART looks aggressive but with a cooler style. the difference is little between the but I hope that the design is between one of these 2 versions for me are the best versions of CRUNCH

Since this isn’t obvious enough for some reason I’m gonna clear the air, it’s NOT an April Fools joke. The interview is real. He went to PAX East this past weekend and got the amazing opportunity to do an interview with the co-director of the game. If you remember the zipper lips on Twitter this is what he was referring to. It’s just a coincidence that April 1st fell on a Monday which is a day he normally uploads on.

I think my favorite thing about this interview was just the dedication and and determination of the director to get this game perfect.
Playing ps1 CTR, then switching to this to get make sure it felt as close as possible? Right on.
And to add extra tracks to make sure it lives up to the name Nitro Fueled? I couldn't help but smile.

Crunch being confirmed opens the door for the entire CNK roster and that is exciting.
No idea what they're doing with the story, but the GBA games had Krunk, Nash, Norm(s) and Geary playable . Perhaps it's wishful thinking to see all the boss characters playable

If they really want authenticity they'll make him broken in the EU release but not in the US release. Alas, I don't think that's on the table - especially with online play.

@@aaron_905 My guess is his boss stats will be different to his playable stats, and his playable stats will be the same as CNK (which I believe was 3-4-3 like Crash and Cortex but could be wrong)
Karts from CNK? This includes the bosses karts? Those karts were amazing!!
After watching the video I had to comment on how excellent it's that they are adding a kind of history to match the levels and their details, that's really unique, and surprised about the wumpa juice details on Clockwork Wumpa, really nice :)

I’m really happy about being able to toggle between the original soundtrack and the remastered! Only thing is I hope a PC version gets announced!!

Dont know if anyone on the ctr team can see this but i do want to give a solid thank you, you took what could have been a rushed out cash grab of an idea and said "fuck that" and went full out, doing one of my favorite ps1 games, and my absolute favorite racer the full justice it deserves, every bit of criticism thrown this games way you have looked at and humbly fixed, your creativity on the maps we have seen thusfar has been through the roof, you have made it very clear you are all fans of the series and for that i want to thank you, and that was before realising that you were also re-doing the nitro kart maps too, something i never expected, i have no nostalgia for nitro kart having never played it, but the demos seen so far have me genuinely exited (them aesthetics on electronic ave) , and the fact that i am exited without the rose tinted goggles so double hats off to you and your team for pulling that off, looking forward to giving you money and seeing further developments.
Thank you Beenox, I can see from the recent demo gameplays and this interview that you guys are seriously working on this to make this remake feels refreshing and more than just a remake. You're doing really well. Although, I hope that you are still listening to the feedback from the fans and people who have played the demo. Hope it will be as successful if not more than the N'Sane Trilogy!

Awesome video, I love that they are sticking to the original controls and feel of CTR but are bringing the underappreciated tracks from CNK to life. CNK was just too slow! The redesigns of the levels are amazing. I love that they've included henchmen and the scrubbers in sewer speedway, I hope they have littered throwbacks and easter eggs everywhere. I prefer CTR but it would be cool to have CNK story mode, and since they've confirmed all tracks and characters are included I think it is likely.

I know they said on the first CNK reveal that All characters are going to be added, but who knows

well all the characters from CTR will be included in NF, as huge fans of CTR I'm assuming they knew about Penta Penguin, and I'm 100% sure that he will be in NF, as for the classic NTSC "penguin yay 1" "penguin yay 2" voice I'm not too sure about, but it would be an awesome easter egg
Absolutely amazing. It makes me so happy to hear the original & remastered versions of CTR. All I need to hear is that Rilla Roo will be playable (Still hoping don't hate me) & that the "Load Save Screen" will make a return (Wouldn't feel right without it). Great job Canadian Guy Eh & Thomas, seeing this shows how much the devs & studio really cares about what fans think/say & don't try to do this on their own.
Oh great news about the soundtrack. I love what they've done with remastering the OST, but it's always good to have the choice between both versions !
Let's hope the mainstream reviewrs won't treat this like a MK ripoff with the same controls, calling it the dark souls of kart racers

Great interview! Would've loved to hear more about how the story mode would go since there would be mixed content from two distinct games.
From what I've heard is that only the CTR adventure will be in the game. There are 2 different modes, original and nitro fueled, in which you can change kart and character every time
So pumped to return to the original tracks 20 years later fully remastered thank u Beenox really looking forward to CTR Nitro Fueled!
Really hoping that sometime after the games release, 'Crash N.Sane Trilogy' gets a free update with the toggle for original music.

They’re putting so much passion in the game I actually feel safe about it
What a crazy load of information for us, do you know what the frame rate is going to be? I mean I would love 60fps just because it's a track racer and not open world, I felt that's one area the n'sane trilogy could have done better even if it was a adjustable slider in the menus
It's good to get confirmation that there were models used directly from the N. Sane Trilogy but I feel that was kinda obvious since they look identical and it would have been wasted money to remake stuff over again that they already modelled.
I like the fact they took out the anti gravity sections as after seeing in in CNK it looked to be quite a weird camera angle change.
I can't wait for this. This game is gonna be absolute god-tier.

I know everyone's probably sick of hearing me go on about Nina, but hey, she's been my favourite Crash character since 2006 at least, and I'd love to see her back in the fray, even if that means a redesign.
If she's in I'd like it if they kept her Twinsanity/CTTR design tbh I think it fits well with the rest of the characters

Also great interview overall. Sure camera and microphone quality can be improved but that isnt super important to me. Good questions and also good answers(!). Seems like the remake is in the right hands.
I especially liked his answers regarding the tracks. Giving stuff like dragon mines some flair definitely wont hurt as that was a pretty boring track. And the track moving to the beat of the music is something I already enjoyed quite a lot in MarioKart8.(shyguymountain is an example)
CTR takes a big place in my childhood so I cant wait for the remake, visually it looks great and after this interview my gameplay concerns are almost gone.
Still no pc announcement though >.< , hopefully the Switch port will be good

This is getting me so hyped for this game. I just pre-ordered it today; not something I usually do, but I really want to support them for making this game. I hope a lot of newcomers try this game out and not just fans of the original like myself. I'm sure they'd be surprised at how much it holds up and can compete with Mario Kart even today as much as it did 20 years ago.

Question to ask if you interview them again. Is the boost bar on a toggle? I always preferred it near me as I slide in CNK rather than in the bottom right like CTR. Was easier for me to gaige when to boost.

the characters already in the game are awesome. and as a game designer myself, i can say that you can see from the first second that this guy not only is a bonafied game designer, but a passionate one at that... i wonder if there will be newcomers tho... Twana, Koala Kong, Nina Cortex, Laurence and Mauritz (Cortex's Pet Birds), Spyro, Passadena O'possum... i mean, i can see on his eyes that he wants to bring everyone into the party. and tbh, that... would be awesome. i mean, imagine a special version with Mario for the swtich, Banjo&Kazooie for the Xbox, and who knows... Sonic for the PS4?

I loved that you asked the question about the racing mechanics and the cart. That is my number 1 concern about this game. I just dont believe they can make it as good. Need to play it to experience it i guess. I believe they do their best, but the cart is still number 1 everything for me.
