as usual, they have too many product to not put codes on them or they'd have repeat names. SRS always been Sony's portable speaker line, the NS designation is easy, Neck Speaker line.
If I can pair 2 or more of these simultaneously so multiple people can listen to the TV at the same time, so as not to disturb apartment neighbors while watching with friends and family, then I would definitely buy these and a new Sony TV. No information on the neckbands' nor the transmitters' website says anything about pairing multiple neckbands or other headsets simultaneously. Details on this would be greatly appreciated!
Hey, 2 years late... But this neckband can only pair with one source of sound. They are in credible though. However Sony is about to release the Sony Bravia Theatre U by the end of this month which is the successor of the SRS-NS7 and the Theatre U can be paired with two units at least. If you want to connect to more wireless headphones I suggest you go and see what Avantree is offering. Those guys make a BT transmitter that can pair up with up to 25 headphones with Aptx LL codec Hope this helps! Cheers!
I'd say yes, but in order to get the 360 experience, you will need a Sony Bravia TV. I have the older version and it works great (even with no 360 virtual).
DESIGN, CONVENIENCE & COMFORT ABOVE EVERYTHING ELSE Using the NS7 for 3 months now. The primary reasons why you will buy this product: You do not want to use over ear headphones as they become heavier and sweatier after prolonged use. You do not want to use in ear - ear buds as they cause ear pain & irritation after prolonged use. Also ear buds fitment is a big issue with many people. You want to use the speakers mainly indoors and do not need active noise cancellation as your usage is only or music, movies or games. So if you are someone like me who wants a bluetooth speaker with acceptable sound quality which could be used easily, comfortably and something that rests on your shoulders around your neck and can be used for longer period of time without giving you any pain to your ears, no sweat, or irritation then this product is best for you. I also possess the Sennheiser Momentum 2 & Jabra 85t - but I will not compare their sound quality with this one. Those products are in a different league and far more superior in bass reproduction and sound quality than the NS7. You can use these speakers for connecting to your iPhone/iPad/Mac mini/Macbook, android tablet/phone very easily. The 360 surround sound is not available then as it’s only limited if you use this speaker with a compatible Sony Bravia TV. When I knew it won’t offer me 360 surround spatial sound in normal Bluetooth connections and I don’t have a Bravia TV why did I spend so much money then? Well. The answer is very clear to me. I purely bought it for Sony’s design, the convenience it offers and the overall comfort of use. It is an expensive buy and the cost does not justify the quality of sound. Many other bluetooth speakers will offer you superior bass & sound quality and are available at half the price. NS7 is either pure indulgence or a thoughtful purchase if comfort and convenience is paramount to you. If sound quality is paramount don’t even think about the NS7 unless you have a Bravia TV to extract its full potential. Pros: Resembles a travel pillow Sony’s ergonomic design & build quality Fits securely around your neck Acceptable audio quality Multipoint connection - pair 2 devices at once Decent battery life 10 minute of charge gives you upto an hour of extra play time Its fabric finish and silicon neckband are soft & easy to clean USB C charging port Lightweight & comfortable to use Good & easy hands-free calling experience with optimal microphones placement IPX4 - Splash-proof Wireless transmitter - Optical cable & USB cable is provided in box Due to open ear style - you are still being aware of your surroundings. Cons: Very expensive It’s bulky & could feel uncomfortable sometimes Compatibility issues Mediocre bass response Sony app is required to set up Best features only available if paired with Bravia XR TV’s Not fully waterproof Upward facing speakers are highly localized - if you move your head to left or right you do lose sound. My verdict: An unconventional niche product that you can use with any Bluetooth source, but pairing it with a Sony Bravia XR-series TV only enables the unique surround-sound experience. For me a decent audio is an acceptable trade-off for comfort. A personal speaker solution you wear around your shoulders. It fulfils my requirements exactly!
Please, pair with any other no sony TV (even apple tv) to check if can be used to watch movies, I own Bose soundwear and it can, no extra device needed, no delay, you go from phone to TV with no problem, the only problem is that bose stop it production on 2020.
Longevity wise, doesn't seem like an option in tropical or humid environs where dust and grime (air pollutants) are light Good nonetheless. *But would really help if such devices could simultaneously remain paired with two sources.. like if one is watching TV and suddenly has to receive a phone call* then at such price points, it ought to be able to do so. . And I assume it would be risky to use such accessories outdoors. (Risky as in.. risk of damage due to the elements or falling off. Besides the risk of getting mugged).
I feel as if you are missing out on a fair amount of money, making something like this only compatible with the Bravia TV's. Anyone who has a dolby atmos tv from a different brand, isn't going to think. "You know what, I'm going to spend another 3 grand to disguard my perfectly good TV, so I can have dolby atmos around my neck."
Perhaps, but can't the same be said for Apple and it's ecosystem? Plenty of things Apple makes are primarily designed to work with their products. It's a huge part of how they sell their hardware. So it makes sense for SONY to create an ecosystem around it's TVs in relation to it's audio products, the PS5, and services such as Bravia Core.
Yea I'm gutted about this. I really would go and buy this otherwise. I only bought my Panasonic TV a year ago. No way I'm replacing it. Bit of an own goal by Sony. Obviously I'm referring to Atmos. I know they're compatible otherwise.
Good question. Another is why they do this specifically with their audio products? At least playstation or Bravia are good names. Or their new drone "Airpeak" and EV "Vision S". They all get proper names. But just never the audio products 🤷🤷🤷
@@Sabundy they use those names to make your life easier they have too many products, like wireless, extrabass, wired, professional, waterproof, luxury, sports headphones, the same for speakers: neckband, portable, waterproof, extra bass, stereo systems, home theaters, bars, music players, turntables, portable players. That is just about audio, the same division is responsible for video products and now smartphones and cameras as well, which have their own sub categories. Imagine naming each product with a specific random name, a nightmare for both, the company and the consumers. Other companies are not as varied or are simply dedicated to developing the same product for different generations.
Sony products experience I have is ridiculous, I'm still not yet get my speaker until today after more than 30days I sent it in under warranty in Sony Malaysia. The unit I bought HT-RT40 under Sony one year warranty and the Sony service centre is informed me that they can't fix the speaker due to the model parts being discontinued. But when I do go shopping or search online I still see the HT-RT40 stock ready in the market. So I don't think the discontinued parts are not acceptable excuses. I'm here to reject the sony buy pack programme with the price of RM969.00 with the terms of 2-4weeks pays to my account. At the same time, I also rejected your previous proposal of a replacement model of HT-S20R(the value are cheaper estimated at RM400 than the current model I bought for my HT-RT40). Sony is a reputable brand and good quality? You judge yourself.
The name sure is a signature from Sony
Sure does roll off the tongue

I use mine as a speaker at work. I work in a loud place, and wear earplugs. With all being said, I still hear good quality and sound. I love mine.
This neckband is one of the most underrated products. It’s insane how good they are and how much use i have put into them.
For music lovers, Sony is angel 💕❤️😍😘
only one word--- "amazing , fantastic"!!!!

Sounds like it should be feasible
Most definitely, you can probably pair over 100 because most of sonys newest products offer that so I'm assuming this would follow suit.

can i use this for in ear monitor live music band ?
So I will miss out Dolby Atmos if I connect to other TV?
Can you use the neckband and sony tv speakers for watching movies at the same time?
Will it work for gaming? Specifically for PS5/PC? Please let me know. Thanks
I'd say yes, but in order to get the 360 experience, you will need a Sony Bravia TV. I have the older version and it works great (even with no 360 virtual).
One question. Can I use them while they are charging? I don't want to stop gaming or watching movies because of low battery.

I think this is an error and should be LDAC
Correct?
Yep
