Nice of you guys to pick up where Bose left with their Soundwear that they discontinued a bit ago. I absolutely loved that thing, I don't like the super sound isolation of a headset so this was a perfect casual music listening device I've been looking for. Thank you!

Curious if I'll get a response. Can the 360 Spatial Sound be used with any toslink connection? I ask because Dolby Atmos doesn't transfer through an Optical/Toslink connection, which is used, here, to receive audio from the Sony dongle to the neck speaker. So would I be correct this only EMULATES Dolby Atmos sound, but doesn't actually produce true Atmos sound? And if so, then we wouldn't necessarily need a Bravia XR TV (the cheapest I've seen are over a grand, and it's not even QLED, let alone OLED, for the that gratuitous price). So, yeah, my ultimate question is, does that 360 sound work with any TV or is there some hidden technology within the optical out on Bravia XR's that allow this to happen?
The big question I have is, can I use it along with the existing Sony speakers on the TV? So, my wife can listen to it quietly, but I can crank it up louder on my shoulders? Or does the connection turn off the Sony TV speakers? And if it does keep the Sony TV speakers on, will the sound be sinked with the neckband speaker? In otherwards all the speakers both on the TV and the neckband work together?

@@SonyConnect Thank you, I have bought myself one, I’ll just have to see whether it works with the devices I currently have hopefully it will work with my Samsung TV as well.
I don’t feel like this makes any sense where you’re trying not to bother anyone, but if you have it at a volume that you can barely hear, but you have it low enough to wear other people can’t hear I have headphones and me turning the volume to the highest to hear something other people still hear that these are speakers around your neck, not in your ear, so they’re not muffled so no matter what I feel like someone’s going to hear it like if someone sitting in the same room and they are, I don’t know reading a book. They will hear it or if you’re wearing it and walking around the room at a moderate sound for you. I feel people in that area still will hear what you’re hearingno matter what and they’ll hear it. Just zooming in and out of the house in different rooms like it’s a haunted house that has a TV program floating throughout the place. The reason why Bose discontinued and stop making the sound where I have a feeling didn’t go nowhere customer wise a very niche. Customer base would buy this and I could only see one and that would be gaming video games to where you’re literally trying to hear who’s coming behind you and all the other ways that you could be immersed into that game world other than that I feel like someone sitting there watching the house Housewife club or any other reality show on TV or any movie next to anyone that doesn’t really wanna hear it, but you’re trying to be courteous. Enough is a pointless and fruitless adventure so Sony since it’s been two years since you were less released this thing and for some reason, it’s holding its value Actually it’s down to 268 something instead of 300 but it’s basically a very small percent of consumers want this
Is this 360 immersive sound only compatible with the XR bravia or X1 processor too? Coz I am planning to buy X80j soon. It will be great if this neckband can deliver the same Dolby Atmos experience paired with X80J. Kindly let me know please.

This would be a personal surround sound system which is much cheaper than a full fledged system. This would give a feel of atmospheric sound experience which the headphone can never provide. So bottom line is, it would give you the external surround sound experience with the convenience of a headphone.
I feel like a speaker system or soundbar would be better for the family and guests. And headphones better for self listening. Not sure where this falls into play

Neck speakers are actually amazing. I live in a condo and my neighbor is very sensitive to noise, so I can't use speakers. But I hate wearing headphones. Neck speakers allow you to have that open soundstage like speakers without disturbing neighbors. It's perfect for people in apartments or condos. I have two, but not this Sony one.

We regret to hear that you are having connectivity and audio issues with the unit. These steps may help resolve those issues:
-Move the device away from radios, TV, tuners, microwave ovens, etc., and areas where the wireless LAN access points were set up.
-Move the connected Bluetooth device close to the neckband speaker. Note: Walls, metal racks, or other objects may interfere with the connection between your wireless speaker and the source device.
-Issues may occur if you're operating applications or accessing the settings on your mobile device. Stop the Bluetooth playback if you're performing these operations.
-Restart your source device, then reconnect to the neckband speaker through Bluetooth.

Not really, if you want a 360 Spatial Audio experience you have to use the Audio App provided by Sony. You can connect the shoulder speaker device via Bluetooth with any Bluetooth enabled devices. I also believe you will still get an excellent audio capacity without the Application as I have not received my speakers yet. Also majority of computers have the Audio Optical plugin, most if not all motherboards come with it.

Hi Krish- B, by combining the WLA-NS7 Wireless Transmitter, a TV, and Sony brand headphones, you can enjoy TV audio in personalized 360 spatial sound. Check the link for the compatible devices.

How is it better than using a Headphone? Or earphones?
They said it. If ur in home and enjoying music or a movie, u may miss out a calling bell or your partners call from another room.

Say if ur watching tv and u have to keep turning the tv up or down or u have to keep moving closer to the tv in a uncomfortable position just to hear it. With these u don’t need none of that just connect it to the tv and u can listen to it simple
does surround sound work with x85j? is there any point in connecting the transmitter at all with an incompatible tv? the instructions are awful.
once the battery dies how can i replace it? and how do i clean face oil off the top of the speaker? and is there a case for this?
Hi electroboy, Thank you for reaching out. And we're sorry to hear if you're having some difficulties with the included help guide and instruction manuals.
If you're referring to the 360 Spatial Sound feature of the SRS-NS7, Unfortunately, no. This feature only works with compatible BRAVIA XR TV models such as the Z9J, A90J, X90J, X95J, and A80J series. By connecting the SRS-NS7 wireless neckband speaker and WLA-NS7 wireless transmitter to a BRAVIA XR series TV and adjusting specific settings, you can enjoy realistic 3D surround sound with your neckband speaker.
For more information, please refer to this link: www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00268279
The neckband speaker is equipped with a rechargeable built-in lithium ion battery so it cannot remove or replace.
To clean the surface of the speaker, remove the soil by gently dabbing at it with a dry, soft cloth or a well-wrung cloth dipped in tap or lukewarm water before the surface is stained with the soil. For more details on proper maintenance and on how to care for the neckband speaker, please refer to this link: helpguide.sony.net/speaker/srs-ns7/v1/en/contents/TP1000432515.html
Sony does not have a carrying case for this speaker, however, you can look for carrying case or case covers from your authorized dealers. Hope this helps!

Hi Sony support. Multi question for this nice looking neck band. I recently received the SRS-NB10 and I couldn't get it to bluetooth pair with my Sony XBR-55X800H or PS4. Will this NS7 pair to the XBR-55X800H or a PS4?
X80 has not Bluetooth Audio profile
Hi MrAllOut20, thank you for your inquiry. For the XBR-55X800H, the TV does not natively support Bluetooth audio out for the SRS-NS7, or your SRS-NB10. This feature may work with a compatible external USB Bluetooth Adapter or 3rd party Bluetooth applications that can be downloaded from the Google Play™ Store.
The SRS-NB10 and SRS-NS7 are also not compatible with the PS4. For the Sony PS4, you will need to make sure you have Bluetooth headphones that are specifically geared to the PS4. feel free to contact our playstation on this link for more information. support.us.playstation.com/.

Would you be able to pair these with a Sony NW-A45/L Walkman. Seems these would be great for music enjoyment. Thanks for any info!

can i hear ns7 within my sony soundbar hdmi2.1 at same time, like rear speakers?

Its loud speakers.... It's disturbing other in the room or have i wrong settings?
Hi Johanna, We apologize for any inconvenience that you experienced. Please make sure to wear the neckband speaker around the base of your neck with the (fabric-covered) speaker components facing upward and adjust the volume with the -/+ (volume) buttons on the neckband speaker if the volume gets too loud. Hello so I need help my NS7 connection keeps cutting out and the audio glitches.
Hi Amique,
We regret to hear that you are having connectivity and audio issues with the unit.

@@SonyConnect Your a Japanese Company. Not sure why its just Canada or the U.S. As for helping. You can't. You set it up so only Sony TV can link to these shoulder speakers and that was not made clear before buying them. Bit cheese. Only work around is to link your PC to your TV and run the speakers from the PC. To hear the TV sounds. Way more work then that is needed. More so when JBL can just link without having to use only JBL items. If I could get my money back. I would.
@@SonyConnect Thank you but I have seen the Japanese suport page. They say the samething. These shoulder speakers only work with one TV brand. That is cheese thing to do. People who pay $1000 plus for a TV to find out they cant use these shoulder speakers are SOL. I have a nice TCL TV that cant use these shoulder speakers. Come to find out. I need a Sony brand TV. talk about greed
Awesome!!
How portable are these , can you go for walks with them or do they only work with the transmitter box in your home ?
Hi Josh, thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, no. It is recommended to use this unit within your home. This unit has a maximum communication range of approximately 30 m (98 ft) (Line of sight* )
*The actual range will vary depending on factors such as obstacles between devices, magnetic fields around a microwave oven, static electricity, reception sensitivity, antenna’s performance, operating system, software application, etc.

Don't you know that your neighbors can still hear the music 😁
Will this work with PS5?
Hi silenthillstrangler, these headphones are recommended use for television only. Regards.-David
This with all of it's functionality plus a usb adapter with a wireless proprietary connection to use with PC and PS5 for gaming and films would have been the perfect upgrade over the srs-ws1 .. but no instead we get a smartphone/tablet and sony xr tvs exclusive device .. what a shame
Edit: a mic would be the icing on the cake
Not really, if you want a 360 Spatial Audio experience you have to use the Audio App provided by Sony. You can connect the shoulder speaker device via Bluetooth with any Bluetooth enabled devices. I also believe you will still get an excellent audio capacity without the Application as I have not received my speakers yet. Also majority of computers have the Audio Optical plugin, most if not all motherboards come with it.
not works when charging......... please fix it !
Hi Nico Ext, we do apologize for the inconvenience. When a commercially available USB AC adaptor is in use, make sure that the USB cable is connected securely to the neckband speaker and the USB AC adaptor. Then, make sure that the USB AC adaptor is connected securely to an AC outlet. Take note that While battery charging is in progress, the neckband speaker fails to turn on and you cannot use the Bluetooth function.
