Delta Green has the craziest way of mixing real history, whack job conspiracy theories, and the Cthulhu mythos in a weirdly tasteful way. There's so much emphasis on counter intelligence, espionage, black ops, wrestling with what constitutes the truth in the game world. Awesome lore video man. Please do more Delta Green stuff if you're able.
There was at least two adventures featuring Karotechia. One where two agents try to recruit a Holocaust denier and bungling, and one where Galt shows up to troubleshoot when a plant outsourced to produce zombie gas suffers a disaster. Galt is pretty tough. He is a nasty fighter and carries a set of magic items that makes him hard to threaten. The other two and most bischofe are out of immediate reach down south.
Delta Green does that. The whole game started with writing out the cult of Cthulhu post-Innsmouth raid. Instead the Mi-go and the Accord with MJ-12 is in focus. Cthulhu cults are suppressed into obscurity through the 1960's. Pagan was already peeking at the yellow mythos and the King in Yellow. There was a DG first contact with the Shan infiltration of the UK. It is down to your game. There was a few adventures pointing to a confrontation with Karotechia. Send War on Drugs delta forces blokes etc. Your game might feature the end of Karotechia. Or not.
I like the old Delta Green, but I'm not a fan of them. It could've worked in the 1960s, but the goose steppers usually make pretty boring villains and are often used to elevate subpar things.
@@BudsRPGreview oh thats amazing i didnt even know that was on the horizon. I have read their section in "the conspiracy" like 4 times I find that part of delta green so facinating.
Excellent! Thank you very much for your quick reply. I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your videos. You helped my prepare and run my first scenario (Lover In the Ice) and it's going great! I'm already thinking up custom scenarios and planning to run some of the others I bought. Would you consider making a video about creating a custom scenario? I know the Handler's guide has a section on it, but I would like to hear it from a veteran handler. Thanks in advance and Keep up the good work, mate!
The name of their hideout is "La Estancia" and its in the amazonian jungle? If it is, its quite strange. The "la" is spanish, that is not the language talked in Brazil. And the term "estancia", is used more frequently in the the platine region, like Uruguay, Argentina and the southern brazillian states. Anyways, fantastic video!
As a Brazilian, I believe that this mistake was done on purpose, to show the sheer disdain the Karotechia have for anything, to the point of ignoring even the local language.
You could play the end of Karotechia in DG. Karotechia is protected largely by DG belief they were gone. But Frank is sitting there in a dang freezer. You can make a game about War on Drugs themes.
I often wonder if their decision to wipe out the Karotechia was because they felt Nazis too spicy a subject, unless done as an absolute parody. It's a shame because Gelt and his Ramsey Bolton cannibalism, or being manipulated by Nyolathotep are such great sources for chaos. Are there any adventures covering the early delta green raids on nazis?
I think I remember reading that Adam Scott-Glancy killed them off because in the modern age people wouldn’t use them. I don’t think there are any adventures with Nazis in.
There was two Pagan adventures where DG starts to learn about Karotechia. One smaller where two Karotechia agents try to recruit a Holocaust denier, and a mini-campaign where they outsource the zombie drug with disastrous results and Galt showing up with his troubleshooters. You could continue a game of taking the fight to Karotechia. Like War on Drugs-themed DG.
Is there any USSR secret societies in this RPG¿ Theirs gotta be right, the reds are never left out of these type of topics. In real life Saratov Air Base is Russia's equal too Area 51 but even more secretive as hardly anyone knows of it; unlike A51 which everyone and their moma knows about.

If you could produce a video on GRU SV-8, that would be incredible. I would love to see you go over it's rise, it's achievements, murky political intrigues, and its decline due to budget cuts. You did such an incredible job with the Karotechia that I love listening to it at work while doing paperwork. Love it!@@BudsRPGreview

Oh I have plenty more of these in the pipeline for Delta Green, but I tend to do them in batches as it’s easy to get burned out.

The mention of Nazis I guess

Really enjoyed this overview Bud! You can see why the Karotechia was written out of the setting... especially in this day and age.
Indeed.
The Karans would have had to have seen its manager.....
Was there a change in Germany last I checked? they were still here just not the focus anymore.

Amazing as always!
Great story telling as always. Needed more were werewolves ;)

Reminds me of the Ira Levin novel The Boys from Brazil.
A bit, yeah.

Fascinating lore. Where can we find all this information?
I've added a link to the notes.

Mostly the Delta Green books and the internet. I don’t use AI art.

I think the funniest part is how Frank is trapped in a giant freezer. He is the one handling the boring finance.
So do they still operate as a shell of their former selves in modern DG? Or are they gone entirely?

There are some shotgun scenarios that feature them, and two official scenarios- "Dead Letter" and "See No Evil"
