I knew he played guitar. Les Paul was a guest once and gave Conan a beautiful guitar as a gift. Conan was in tears and Les Paul signed the guitar for him. The singing? Who knew he had that! What a great way to start off.
He's been doing this since his show was canceled years ago. He cant really sing, that's why he's doing a duet. You're not even hearing his voice. It's drowned out by the other guy
Hence the word "Entertainer" some bands as a whole are entertainers. They don't play , they perform! They arrive on time, and they stay late and jam for the crowd! unlike the artists of today
@@RonFast Nah. Straps break. It happens. That's one of many reasons to have a good guitar tech. Took him seconds to come up with another strap, and it was the right length, meaning he had prepared for just such an event.
Just wish Conan had played something less iconic, not by Elvis, and sounded that good! Elvis impersonators are dime a dozen! Entertainers are in a league of their own!
Conan has always stood out for me. Unapologetically himself, crazy talented ( largely unknown), and hes a GINGER!! Rock on Conan O'Brien. ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 This was really really frickin good. The dude in back dancing, that would be me. Love it!!!! Thanks everyone 😊😊😊
As a colorblind (artist) I had no idea what the term, "Ginger" meant until en ex of mine referred to herself once as such. When I asked, she explained that it was a term used about red haired people-which I then found out she was...But I still ldon't understand why anyone uses it-"Ginger." So what, a person's hair is red?? What am I missing??
After Johnny, Conan was always my favorite talk show host. He was never mean or a partisan hack. Conan was simply funny and a great entertainer. His moment on that Spanish Soap opera is legendary, the Queso Salesman.
Conan was never funny, and a lousy, witless, entertainer. You could always tell he was trying very hard, but never did quite make it. Frequently it was obvious the guests were laughing *at* him, and not _with_ him.
I had no idea that Conan was that talented, I have been watching that irish skinny tall guy for decades and I just saw him paying tribute to my all time favorite entertainer of the 19th Century.
You're sick as hell. Conan cannot sing. Even he knows that. That's why he's doing a duet. You're not even hearing his voice. It's drowned out by the other guy
Conan, Jay Leno and Craig Ferguson where entertaining, they all refused to bow to the pigs and spread the political propaganda, after they left I haven't watched any of the left wing late night garbage.. 🤪🇺🇲
@dang2443 Sorry it required a minimum of a GED to watch but hey look on the bright side you have no education requirement shows on late night now. 🤭😂🤪🇺🇲
I loved when Conan said they were going to start off with a song written a few years ago by AUSTIN BUTLER! Austin was the definitive Elvis in Baz Luhrmann’s “ELVIS”! 👍
I may have missed it in the comments but this song was actually written by a very talented guy named Mark James, he also wrote Always On my mind, and many others. Just sayin👍
That was a surprise, a good surprise. I had no idea he could sing he is great, that was a wonderful surprise it was awesome. I don’t think I have seen a band enjoy their selfs more than they did when they were preforming. The only problem wanted to see more.
Been loving Conan since his late night program began! Always knew he'd take risks back in the day and he always came out on top. He has been so much more enjoyable than the other late night hosts in his reign. He's the best! Keep doing what you do by being yourself.
Haha, a Blues Brothers style dramatic opening. I saw Bob Dylan at the Beacon Theater. It's a good place to see a concert, looked like a good view from any seat. Oh yeah, and I was in the mood for a shot and the Beacon had a bar.
Just a heads up. Austin Butler did not write “Suspicious Minds”! 😆 It was written by the incredible Mark James. Who would go onto write/co-write some other huge songs that Elvis also recorded. Such as “Always On My Mind” and “Moody Blue”. It’s sweet, and somewhat silly, Conan singing Elvis because he doesn’t have real vocal chops. But it is nice seeing the spotlight put on The King! 👑

I’ve been a fan of Conan for a long time. I had no idea he can play and sing! Damn, I wish he would come back on network late night TV.
-me either .. surprise !-
-and funny too !-
He can't
When you say you have been a Fan for a "long time" and Did NOT know Conan could play or sing....You are NOT a Real Fan.
Yea gosh I love him and he's a Trump supporter!
@@michaelasay8587 He has been a registered Democrat since casting his first vote for president in 1984 for Walter Mondale.
I swear...Conan's clowning around might make one think he's not this talented. But he tries everything. He truly entertains.
Hence the word "Entertainer" some bands as a whole are entertainers. They don't play , they perform! They arrive on time, and they stay late and jam for the crowd! unlike the artists of today
Honey, if he ain't talented, none of us are. It takes talent for him to just wake up and be himself every morning.
Actually he is pretty good...down with the woke..Connan Rocks
Conan can play, so can I. Elvis' voice filled the hall, every time. Conan had balls taking this on. The KING lives, forever........!!
TCB !!!!!
Its bc its been long enuf, most who remember it are dead.
Nice!
Suspicious Minds was originally by Mark James. Maybe Conan never heard the cover version by Elvis
Everyone plays guitar. But I will kick their ass 😃
What the what?! Wow that was surprising, i had no idea he was so good musician/singer.
Pretty great.

me either!!!! Conan is way cooler than I thought.
Luv you son. Thank you for going on this ride with me. You made the most of it.
talent can run deep and with great width
That was actually........PRETTY DAMN GOOD!!!!
The drums in this is amazing 🤩

The band and backup singers alone are worth it.
For sure. It would have been so much with just them singing.
Yes, a great band, and excellent singers!
Is that letterman’s old band
A man of many talents
I've always loved Conan. Now I might even have a crush on him.
IKR!!!
I'm 51 years old, and as a lifelong Elvis fan, I just want to say this is freaking awesome.
ABSO FREAKING LUTLEY!!!!!!!
Im 73 bro. I never dropped Elvis for the British invasion. BUt I quit watching his movies after Roustabout. (Great movie)

Conan and Sir Gadd...cool!!!! Looks like Will Lee too...what a show!!!!
Will Lee is a Legend
Steve Gadd and Will Lee are both legends.
Conan is a real genious, he puts heavy effort and succeeds in so many things he puts his mind into.
its a great moment but it reminds me how much more Conan is needed these days
Well who is he supporting? Trump!! Yes we need more people like this!!
Doubt it
Conan was incredible! Wow. He should do concerts.
He does do shows
I recognized Will Lee before he turned around, he is Mr. Energy!
Will is a ROCK
I did too
Hes no ginger elvis but we know who that is
Me too!
Yes! I was like, "Damn, that's Will Lee on bass!"
Conan was BORN to be a comedy writer ...
G.o.a.t.
He obviously ignored his comedy writing talent to do a talk show.
I saw Elvis in person multiple times and adored him ... Conan was thoroughly entertaining! I would pay to see him!
Damn lady. You got to see Elvis multiple of times? That is so cool. Sadly he died 11 years before I was born. But I app his music.
Fun rendition. Miss Conan and Dave on Late Night TV. They both love music and had a variety of musicians on their shows.

My number one favorite one singer... ELVIS, and my very favorite comedian, CONAN together at once!!! Greatness!

Yep. That’s Will.
Just listening to the intro brings back strong Elvis memories. Well done, everybody!
