Germany: The Town of Demmin

Demmin is a town in the Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany.
It was the capital of the former district of Demmin.
The Hanseatic city of Demmin is a small town in the eastern center of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Since the district reform in 2011 it belongs to the Mecklenburg Lake District.
With its many bodies of water and the surrounding landscape, the Demmin region is a popular holiday destination, especially for nature tourists.
The three rivers Peene, Trebel and Tollense flow together in Demmin.
The Peene flows from the nearby Kummerower See through Demmin to the Baltic Sea.
