from what I've seen you're doing a great job, that he bo clip where you ult to avoid nu wa stun(intentional or not) was sick. that's the main thing you want to learn is what exactly what your character can and cannot do and what the enemy god can do. That's about 75% of the game
Mobas are kinda like credit score. Your history is a really important thing that only grows with time played. Veteran players dont realize how much this matters. Knowing when its good to go in cause character #55s 1 is down oh but you cant let character #23 auto you down cause he has items 17 and 39 like yah its alot. But experience and growth mindset = more wins. Winning isnt seeing the victory screen. Winning is finding one of your weaknesses, ironing it out, and becoming that much closer to being a stronger player.
A big thing too is that most of the gods kits are relatively similar numbers wise. For example if your dueling someone in the solo lane, and you manage to time one of your abilities to cancel one of there channeling abilities. You’ll “probably” win. Some characters are busted and will still out trade you and there’s a million other factors like farming and lane pressure, but that’s one mechanic that comes from knowing a little bit about other gods kits
Loved hearing about your experience with the game, and I felt like a lot of what I felt when I started playing 3 years ago reflected in everything you said, but based on those clips, you seem to be a lot better than I was. I really loved the Pele clip where you killed the Maman especially. Plus, for the record, I think playing every god a little bit is a great way to learn, you lose a lot during it, but after it just becomes automatic to remember what the enemy can do, and what they're good at.
thanks for enjoying my little story dude! I definitely have had some good moments but they are surrounded by me getting slapped hahaha - i play Solo in league and do pretty well and it's my fav but i always struggle so much in the first 5-8 mins in Smite, honestly can say I haven't won the lane in about 20 games hahahaa
Teamwork (dont being selfish), pressure (knowing when to push and when to run) and map and situational awareness thats really it, the more games you play the better you get at predicting and placing abilities - 9 year console vet
Solid advice. My map awareness is shocking and often when playing support, knowing when to leave the lane to roam is difficult for me, I always wait too long. I’ve been trying to make a more conscious effort to leave the duo lane quickly ha
I started playing smite 10 years ago now. I think knowing what enemy gods can do to you and what they have that counter you (beads/aegis etc). Once you start figuring that out you're good. I think playing lots of different gods isn't a bad thing because you learn about those characters. I have all gods at least mastery 1 and 66 gods at max mastery
66 gods at max mastery? holy moly, what level is that? Thanks for the advice man, I didn't paly smite in about 3-4 weeks in favour of league of legends wild rift and when i got back I just felt like i didn't have a main and didn't know how to use any of the gods hahahaha
@JustPlatBro So max mastery is mastery 10 or higher (1000 worshipers to get mastery 10). I have a few gods above 2000 worshipers but you only get stars added for that. So it's mastery X plus however many stars. My account level is 156. I think smite is different than league in that having a main isn't really a thing. Sure, it might make you better at a god by only playing them but is that as much fun as experimenting and trying to experience it all? To me it isn't. At the start maybe instead of picking 1 god as a main, you could do a class main. My mains are mages then hunters. Tbh I think makes are the easiest and most fun class. They do a lot of damage from a range. You really only need to learn positioning for them rather than the when to go in or when to hold back in fights.
As a new player I experienced lots of toxicity just because I was new and I had seen maybe players who just wanted to try the game out being taunted for not knowing the game. I think the smite team should try to reduce the toxicity towards new player little less which will make more new players come to the game
I'm new aswell at least in smite world. I have tons of experience in LoL, Dota... Etc. Played support yesterday and I got raged that I should been jungling to lvl 6 or something before supporting carry lane. Like wtf never heard of that in any other moba game that support should go jungle farm and try help other lanes for kill. It feels like XP lose and it really depends on what support class u are as well. Anyway weird tactic. I notice many rage but they are the biggest feeders 😂
@@tkraft1442 whoever told you that is an imbecile, if you play support you stick with the carry on duo lane and help him until about level 9 or 10 or until the first tower dies. Then you start roaming the map and helping out with ganks on all lanes. You pretty much need to also mirror what the enemy support is doing
@@tkraft1442 supports in smite always start with their carry in the duo lane, and generally stick around until they've got their first stacking item or so. from that point you will want to rotate to help your carry get ahead. especially rotate if their support already has. but if your carry is left in a 2v1, they should just play safe and will get ahead from the farm split
@@tkraft1442 split farm with your mid laner and jungler, but try not to triple split. rotate to help carry if they are getting invaded or you can secure a kill, but even if they are behind, let them get as much farm as possible to catch up into the late game
I think it’s smart to do the 70 gods mastered. Learning what everyone does and knowing what you can and can’t do when playing against certain enemies is key. That and Map awareness is huge.

This is coming from someone who hit masters joust the first season I started playing and consistently shit on masters+ conquest players. I got some tips for learning the game as quickly as possible. (Will give more advice and answer questions if you just ask) 1. Literally just spend a considerable time watching vods or clips especially where you’re doing bad. Ask yourself “what could I have done to either avoid the situation or turn it around on the enemy team” at least try to come up with an answer. on top of this watch the best players and just pick up on things they do even if you can’t exactly replicate it . 2. DONT try to be good at everything. Pick up maybe a few gods and master them. After mastering them, you can then move on. Find your best role which will probably take a few hundred hours realistically and stick to it. 3. This can be difficult but try to play with people who are a much higher level than you. YOU WILL get shit on but I’ve undoubtedly seen people progress a lot faster doing this than going up against fellow npc’s. You see how better players play and force yourself to learn over time. 4. Mechanics will come but heavily focus on bettering your positioning/map awareness. I’ve constantly seen players with god tier mechanics get shit on because they don’t have the positioning/map awareness down. I’d say those are the main 4. There’s a lot more but those are a really good start.
All incredible advice. My two friends are around level 120 so got a good 1-1.5k hours in and I can say I do spend most of my time getting shit on in conquest of play with them unless I play support to one of their ADCs and they tell me what to do hahah BUT playing with has taught me so so much, I honestly don’t think I would be any good without playing with so I really agree with you! Thanks for the comment dude ❤️
ive been introducing people to smite since 2014 and its always been rough honestly. even guys who were great gamers sucked at smite usually if they had no previous moba experience. tough genre
I’m definitely an above average gamer and smite has kicked my ass on levels I didn’t think was possible 😂 but here I am, wanting some more from Daddy Smite
i started playing smite in january of this year and i absolutely love it, it's challenging and fun. just wish I had friends to play it with. I now have my 10th god with diamond rank.
@@JustPlatBro i started with adc and mid and honestly cant choose between the two. im only now learning thanatos in arena/slash to maybe play him jungle, but i need to get out of the habit of building solo starter on him xd
The people I hate the most in this game, are the people that lose one fight and immediately hit the surrender button and keep hitting it every few minutes no matter what. Then I hate the people that defend this by saying you should surrender if its a lost cause. The only time its a lost cause in my books is when we're down a teammate. The Loser mindset is strong in Moba's like Smite.
Smite is one of the first games I picked up and have consistent playtime in because my partner plays it and my best friend loves it. My partner has played on and off for a few years and my best friend easily has 2k plus hours in the game. But let me tell you, it’s been a HARD learning curve. Not only have I had to learn the game, starting out as a hunter because that’s what they recommended me, but just general game awareness that most others come into the game having. I’m around level 50 now, playing with a mid 100 level player and a high 100 level player, and I don’t think I would be having any fun if I didn’t have them. We dipped our toes into ranked for a little bit which was a fun and rewarding challenge until we really started to get shit on. I recommend new players play with experienced players if they can. That way you get shit on *slightly* less and have a little more fun
That’s such solid advice! I did the exact same, my 2 friends are around 120 I think and they helped me so much in game when I was getting spanked in lane and by giving advice hahaha Thanks for sharing your journey dude and let’s hope smite 2 is an absolute banger
Been playing smite since beta. Over 1.5k hours in. I really only have one piece of advice that can be applied to just about any MOBA: READ. THOSE. CHAMPION/GOD. PASSIVES. Forget the items, forget the players, laining phase, team comp, don't even look at those yet. The game starts at the selection screen. I seen too many players pick Gods that they simply do not know how to play as, especially the new releases. Everytime there was a new God release, the very first thing that I did after logging in is read up on all of that God's abilities, not because I want to play as them but because i know I'm going to be fighting them alot. Learn their abiliteis and figure out how to counter them. This also goes both ways for Gods you like to play as. Learn their abilities, how to combo with them and what items synergize with that God. When Baba Yaga first released, the first thing i did was read up her abilities. Her passive gives her stacks. From there I IMMEDIATELY thought of 2 items: Book of Thoth and Warlocks Staff. I mastered her in 3-4 days and now she's one of my favorite Gods to play as.
absolutely solid advice man. The secret to mobas is always KNOWLEDGE. if you take the time to learn the gods and what they build and how to counter them you can beat so many players. Well said
aye love to hear new people getting into smite, Been playing it for like 12 years......and your so right mostly with the sheer refusal to put gods in classes in smite2. Like i get it but how are you suppose to know bellona is a warrior at heart? honestly i didnt feel like i was good at smite till about 8 months into playing
oh yeah! it's an amazing game! Yeah it's god, I can see them bring classes back even if it is just something like Ymir - Guardian - Can play Support, Solo or Jungle for example
I started off on console with friends and eventually snagged a PC myself. If you connect your accounts everything is transferable and you can log in on pc with the account you’re using on console! I played for about 2-3 years before I got my PC and it’s a learning curve but not as bad if you’ve played prior. It’s just the new mechanics/key layout. (WAY BETTER ON PC BTW) glad you had fun! Hope to see you in Smite 2 😊
Thanks for sharing. I have no doubt I’ll move over in the near future. You played smite 2 yet? The new meta with no classes is weird. And Mordred… I’ve made a video on it which will be out soon haha
You said most people who play smite are on PC, I just wanna say that that’s wrong, the majority of players are on console lol other than that, being a new player in any MOBA is toxic all while having a lot to learn 😭 with smite 2 coming out, I do hope it brings in a lot of new players.
Create a Hirez account -> Link your console account to it -> Log in on Pc (with your skins), or create a new pc account and you can merge the 2 later via Hirez account
Smite was my first moba I played it since 2019 and I managed to reach masters conquest a couple of times gm duel a bunch of times but the 3v3 I just didn't get into because I'm a loner lol and my advice for a new player is try different gods but limit your god pool. You want like 4 or 5 characters that you are good and comfortable with and that way you will have that muscle memory that would allow you to win unfavorable matches because you will have experience over your opponent. Another tip is that if you play an off meta character it will catch people off guard more often but just don't play the worst characters at the meta 😂. Gl yall❤
Smite 2 on console in Alpha is the wildest shit ever. I have played a TOON of mobas, hots, lol, dota, hon, but none of them compares to smite in terms of complexity
i've played smite since around season 2 when bellona was the newest god and i forgot how it feels to be a new player. back then it was a bit more tame compared to now. i grinded the game for quite a while until i got the hang of it. i think a good way is to play who you like instead of spreafing yourself too thin. the game can be confusing build wise since there's a lot to take in.
Remember when the Smite 2 24/7 Alpha drops on the august 27. there will be about 30 ish gods in the game, it will be alot easier to get into it for new players.
Seems like no one has said this so I might be totally wrong. However, you should be able to link your playstation and pc accounts to a Hi-rez account and get cross progression. Which lets you keep all your skins and what not between both accounts. I used to play on xbox, eventually moved to pc.
As a former smite (10 years xp) console player who HAS switched to PC, you definitely don’t have to switch - to compete with most PC players. There are still very high level controller players competing with KBM players. Particularly for the average player, or someone not trying to play competitively, smite is not mechanically difficult enough for your input of choice to make nearly as much of a difference as game knowledge. Switching to PC for me was more of a switch to PC gaming as a whole
oh thanks for letting me know dude! that makes me feel alot better about it tbh, a lot of people ahve said you can link your playstation account to your pc smite account but it looks like it's for xbox only so i really don't want to swap ha
Understanding what each god does and the reach of said abilitys so you know what to dodge dodging is important Ah yeah don't see dying as a bad thing try to learn from mistakes and the most important thing is have fun.
There are no legit guides, how do you even basic attack as an adc😅 , meta changes so much that it feels the game has no core, tanks can nuke you with only tank items😂 and warriors builds only defensive items like guardian but can't nuke like them. Do they still count as bruisers? This was the most confusing Moba game I've ever played.
Please for the love of god learn how to build IN-GAME. Not have a pre saved build that you always default to the amount of times I’ve played as like an ADC and have to build anti heal against a team of healers because none of my teammates have the ability to realize it’s needed is ridiculous
Ive been playing Smite almost every single day since 2014. I have 7700 hours in Smite. I love it I trult do but this community is absolutely atrocious. The most toxic, mentally ill and sick community you will honestly ever see. And I remember the first MW2 days like yesterday. Smite is great. But pc players in Smite just give up too fast. Remember you are not the problem. If its not your support throwing simply because they got support. If not your support its your adc sitting in tower or fountain because they started 0-2 within 3 minutes. If not your adc throwing then your mid taking junglers camps because he got ganked once. If not your mid then your solo is taking junglers camps because he got ganked once and lost his blue buff once. You also have smurfs on several accounts trying to "stop you" from reaching their rank. Meaning masters.
hahaha i have experienced this a lot. What shocks me, is how much i get the frustation though hahaha we are a team and if someone is awful it just ruins the next 30 mins of 4 other gamers time
Watch some youtubers play matches every now and then like weak3n’s coaching videos and learn from his advice, for me personally it skyrocketed my winrate to 65% from 45% in a couple weeks. Atleast when i first started out, obviously now its evened out to about a 51.5% winrate.
Play the same god till you feel like you are an expert in that god you can have 100 stars(fk ton of worshippers) and still he trash at using that god just try to have fun and try to learn every game and buy wards in every role Jung wards xp supp ward for ganks etc
Play all gods before u play rank,Dont focus on damage u need penetration,Dont play the same god all the games,Build creative in some gods gods go deff and damage
Yeah smite 1 is/was fantastic. Im not to sure about smite 2 at the moment myself, and i have over 3k hours in the first 😂😂. And tbf my hours were mostly in ps ive only recently gone to playing it on pc lol
its the botting in arena and assult is getting horrible now. players just standing around wondering around, warping all over the place, aimbotting when there not even looking at u, make ur shoot turn, its getting in sane
@JustPlatBro I was in 1 game yesterday, 5 of us beating sheet out zues but he was taking like 19hp damage abd he 1 shot us. One game chacc was just stand there after his ult and run backwards. Hunters are the biggest users of aimbot nobody know. Smite 1 , nobody cares if getting caught it not going to get news gods or major updated now. Look at paladins and rogue they full of bots now since no new content.
@@JustPlatBro Yeah i started playing Smite on Xbox and then moved to pc and all my stuff transferred over. I assume it’s the same with PlayStation as well.
Just dont get tunnel visioned. Youll do it here and there just recognize where you are at on the map if and when you die and think was i being over extended then check to see your team see if they are getting objectives or just sitting in fountain saying GG and decide who was in the wrong 🤔😂
@JustPlatBro yeah early new players will do that. I've played smite since it's birth on xbox and I can tell you tunnel vision happens to me still but, I can reflect if I'm having a bad day or not based off my performance lol.

hahahaha i share your pain. I played Smite 2 today... the meta is broken. Just loads of tank characters running around with attack speed and crit weapons with a jungle starter. Madness

Yeah it's god, I can see them bring classes back even if it is just something like
Ymir - Guardian - Can play Support, Solo or Jungle for example
I started off on console with friends and eventually snagged a PC myself. If you connect your accounts everything is transferable and you can log in on pc with the account you’re using on console! I played for about 2-3 years before I got my PC and it’s a learning curve but not as bad if you’ve played prior. It’s just the new mechanics/key layout. (WAY BETTER ON PC BTW) glad you had fun! Hope to see you in Smite 2 😊
Thanks for sharing. I have no doubt I’ll move over in the near future. You played smite 2 yet? The new meta with no classes is weird.
And Mordred…
I’ve made a video on it which will be out soon haha
@@JustPlatBro I havent touched smite since 2 came out tbh. I love Mordred! Ive only been using him since my main is not in Smite2 yet.
I’ve been playing smite on pc since season 3 and yes smite is soooo sweaty but smite is my addiction
I agree I love it so much
You said most people who play smite are on PC, I just wanna say that that’s wrong, the majority of players are on console lol other than that, being a new player in any MOBA is toxic all while having a lot to learn 😭 with smite 2 coming out, I do hope it brings in a lot of new players.
Oh no way I didn’t know that! Thanks for letting me. Go Console MOBA Gamers!
Bro has that statue turn speed ;-;
hahaha
Great video bro!
Thanks brutha xxxx
God damn the platinum trophies.
Im also trying to play smite but it's so complicated it kinda makes me nervous even try
It’s 100% normal to be confused for the first 100-200 hours. It’s just a very slow learning curve that you’ve just got to stick out. You’ll get there
link up lets play smite
Create a Hirez account -> Link your console account to it -> Log in on Pc (with your skins), or create a new pc account and you can merge the 2 later via Hirez account
Thanks man xxx
Smite was my first moba I played it since 2019 and I managed to reach masters conquest a couple of times gm duel a bunch of times but the 3v3 I just didn't get into because I'm a loner lol and my advice for a new player is try different gods but limit your god pool. You want like 4 or 5 characters that you are good and comfortable with and that way you will have that muscle memory that would allow you to win unfavorable matches because you will have experience over your opponent. Another tip is that if you play an off meta character it will catch people off guard more often but just don't play the worst characters at the meta 😂. Gl yall❤
well done! oh yeah when you get to the higher levels you need to communicate haha
solid advice man! thanks x
Smite 2 on console in Alpha is the wildest shit ever. I have played a TOON of mobas, hots, lol, dota, hon, but none of them compares to smite in terms of complexity
It’s absolutely bonkers, funny and great
i've played smite since around season 2 when bellona was the newest god and i forgot how it feels to be a new player. back then it was a bit more tame compared to now. i grinded the game for quite a while until i got the hang of it. i think a good way is to play who you like instead of spreafing yourself too thin. the game can be confusing build wise since there's a lot to take in.
It's pretty crazy to learn but i have no regrets haha - it's definitely harder to play than league i dont care what anyone says ha
Remember when the Smite 2 24/7 Alpha drops on the august 27. there will be about 30 ish gods in the game, it will be alot easier to get into it for new players.
So true, I’m so hyped for it man!
Why this video have more comments than dudes subscribers 💀
I guess because it counts my replies as comments 🫢
Seems like no one has said this so I might be totally wrong. However, you should be able to link your playstation and pc accounts to a Hi-rez account and get cross progression. Which lets you keep all your skins and what not between both accounts. I used to play on xbox, eventually moved to pc.
you what, i think you're right haha
You can't link ps to pc unfortunately, only xbox
@@ajlakaos7612 devastating
Understanding what each god does and the reach of said abilitys so you know what to dodge dodging is important
Ah yeah don't see dying as a bad thing try to learn from mistakes and the most important thing is have fun.
Thanks for sharing your words of wisdom dude ❤️
There are no legit guides, how do you even basic attack as an adc😅 , meta changes so much that it feels the game has no core, tanks can nuke you with only tank items😂 and warriors builds only defensive items like guardian but can't nuke like them. Do they still count as bruisers? This was the most confusing Moba game I've ever played.
pahahahaha the constant changes are pretty crazy, you basically have to watch 10 youtube videos a month to know what is going on
Please for the love of god learn how to build IN-GAME. Not have a pre saved build that you always default to the amount of times I’ve played as like an ADC and have to build anti heal against a team of healers because none of my teammates have the ability to realize it’s needed is ridiculous
Absolutely solid advice haha thanks man
You can link ur console account to ur pc account to transfer all your progress lvl and skins
that is honestly the best news I have had in such a long time hahahaha
@@JustPlatBro yea I used to be on Xbox for 3 years before moving to pc it took them about a year before they allowed everything to transfer over
Ive been playing Smite almost every single day since 2014.
What shocks me, is how much i get the frustation though hahaha we are a team and if someone is awful it just ruins the next 30 mins of 4 other gamers time
@@JustPlatBro it's a team game. You need all 5 people.
you can link your ps acc with steam and all your stuff will transfer to pc if you did wanna swap and not worry about losing it all
thanks dude, life saver
Smite 2 is even harder for new players tho. It's like its taking away everything that made smite 1 unique in the moba genre
I’ve played smite 2 and I agree, I actually don’t like it at all hahaha
That would make it easier if anything.
if you're a veteran Smite player, What advice would you give to a beginner?
*advice
Mute teammates
Yeah smite 1 is/was fantastic. Im not to sure about smite 2 at the moment myself, and i have over 3k hours in the first 😂😂. And tbf my hours were mostly in ps ive only recently gone to playing it on pc lol
hahahaha it definitely feels so so different
You won’t lose your skins moving to pc, you can have your accounts all linked
My hero x
its the botting in arena and assult is getting horrible now. players just standing around wondering around, warping all over the place, aimbotting when there not even looking at u, make ur shoot turn, its getting in sane
i never thought about people using aim bots but dam, now you have said it... i can't stop thinking about it hahaha
Played since 2016 😅 it’s sweaty and toxic af but it’s my mf game
Hahahaha give it another 5 years and I’ll be the same hahaha
Just and fyi, there is cross progression in Smite. U won’t lose your skins if u move to pc bc it goes off your hi rez account
Ohhhh! I read that you did lose them! That makes me so happy honestly
@@JustPlatBro Yeah i started playing Smite on Xbox and then moved to pc and all my stuff transferred over. I assume it’s the same with PlayStation as well.
not from playstation i thought the same you only get the cross progression from xbox and maybe switch
@@jesserobert9456 dang if that’s true that’s a bummer
"Play smite" Im sold +1 Sub
my guy
Smite biggiest issue for me its the terrible MM.. ive started a month ago and till now i havent got a balanced conquest game. Except one. Exactly one
Hahahaha I feel you. The fact you need to play for around 100 hours to unlock ranked is also a bit of a joke haha
Just dont get tunnel visioned. Youll do it here and there just recognize where you are at on the map if and when you die and think was i being over extended then check to see your team see if they are getting objectives or just sitting in fountain saying GG and decide who was in the wrong 🤔😂
This is something that has been a big learning curve for me hahaha solid advice
@JustPlatBro yeah early new players will do that. I've played smite since it's birth on xbox and I can tell you tunnel vision happens to me still but, I can reflect if I'm having a bad day or not based off my performance lol.
I should probably help more people learn the game
if you have the knowledge share it with us hahaha
this video is more like your personal story rather than focus on the topic/title of the video..
I tried to make it a bit of both haha 😅
bro you can bring your account over to pc, i wouldnt have done it if i couldnt
Yes boyo thanks :)
its just not fun man they nerf too much if i find myself having fun with a item smite will make sure to nerf it. fed up dont even care to play smite i just play other games instead
hahahaha i share your pain. I played Smite 2 today... the meta is broken. Just loads of tank characters running around with attack speed and crit weapons with a jungle starter. Madness
Make the jump to PC with smite 2…
If you link the account your gems will carry over. :)
PlayStation unfortunately made it where cross progression wasn’t allowed for smite 1
A few people have said that, I’m gonna try it :)
If anyone needs someone to play smite 2 with lmk!
my guy - me, i need help pahahahah
@@JustPlatBro let me know a time that works. We can make something happen
Smite 2 is up.
Just give up on smite 1 Dude
hahaha not yet - i played smite 2 today, the new items are bonkers

that one word is enough x
paladins is also not noob friendly
oh i wanted to try that at some point haha, maybe not
@@JustPlatBro it's still way easier than a full fledged moba but it's not as straightforward as ow2
paladins was initially supposed to be a moba but turned into a hero shooter, it has an item shop, loadout cards and a talent system
I have like 4000 hours and still suck ass
This is so gonna be me
