My father taught me this on a basic level when I was a kid. It was all on paper with rulers, compasses, Bézier shapes, whatnot. It still amazes me how to design a bolt and nut is actually as much work as designing a nice armchair.
Amazing looking. Just curious, in fusion we can type in the thread pitch so the hardware is a real world thread. Anyway to do this on here? Also can you animate the nut spinning off the bolt?
Hello, what should we do if we want to attach a piece to another piece that we have designed? I mean, I am designing two models on one page and I want to glue them together so that when I print them with a 3D printer, one piece will be printed that is completely glued together. Please help me, thank you.
Hi 디도쓰! I'm sorry I can't do that content right now for you. Instead, I have a suggestion for you. You can watch my video on how to model a conical spring. ua-cam.com/video/3lG2edbNzeM/v-deo.html But instead of using the sweep command to create the spring, you use the sweep command to create the thread. I hope this is of help to you.
Hi Aaron Mac! I am sorry for that. Can you tell more whether the nut is larger or smaller than the bolt? I think it's too tight because my model doesn't leave a gap between the threaded part of the bolt and the nut.
@thecutmaster this is my question because although the video is extremely informative and very professional workflow > if it will not print or thread correctly, my challenge is not solved. Should there be a slight taper on the bolt? My only critique is the threads are reversed (left-threaded), was this printed and tested?
Hi, followed every single step from your tutorial and afterwards I 3d printed screw and nut… but the screw won’t fit inside the nut, do you maybe know why? The‘re exactly the same size
Hi StormArteria! I think it's too tight because my model doesn't leave a gap between the threaded part of the bolt and the nut. You need to have some tolerance between the parts, as Mark commented below.
Hi Marcos Arboleya! I think you can use the "offset face" function to resize the bolts and nuts so they can screw together. Or draw profiles for bolts and nuts separately.
@@NCADStudio hola muchas gracias por la respuesta ,¿ podrías hacer un video haciendo esos cambios que me dices para poder hacer tornillos reales desde 0 ?. es que no veo la manera de poder hacerlo sin fallos. siento las molestias
Hi, is there any master course of cad designing? I know the basic but I want to be a pro label designer 😄. Please reply. Is there any practice exercises then please provide me.
Приятно смотреть, но это больше недостаток чем плюс, уже давно бы пора добавить инструмент с возможностью делать резьбу автоматически, как в fusion к примеру

Omg. Just what I needed! Thank you
Pheeewwww 🥵 that was a challenge but I did it 💪 Thanks for this great tutorial.
fantastic videos best shapr tutorial ever!!! i like this tool, best cad !!!!
AMAZING!!! I love Shapr3D it is the best
Wow wtf magic is this? Been struggling like hell to make something like this in Maya...
Nice. Thanks a lot actually. It worked, you explained it well.
thanks for this product!
nice, but did you try DesignSpark Mechanical ?
How do you add a tolerance between the nut and bolt?
Offset tool
Great teaching, but its very fast, could you please add voice
Go to settings and slow the video down, works well
App name plish bro ❤
Great job! But...🤔 Left-handed screw? 👋🏻Ciao ciao
While i repeated the nut and bolt in shapr 3d only the half thread is created why , any possible reasons?
Hola, que ipad estas usando
Brilliant!
Thank u so much… really appreciate this

What model of iPad do you use for drafting?
@@suriyakhunnoi981 iPad Air 4
The tutorial was very informative. Where can we find fastener libraries that can import to the Pro version?
Unfortunately, Shapr3D Pro doesn't have that fastener library either. You have to build the model yourself or import it from other software.
@@NCADStudio “from other” is rather vague. Do you have a source or link for standard fastener libraries?
Nice software

IOU. Now i can!!
When I printed this, the nut wouldn’t fit on the bolt. Not sure what I did wrong
Hi Aaron Mac! I am sorry for that. Can you tell more whether the nut is larger or smaller than the bolt? I think it's too tight because my model doesn't leave a gap between the threaded part of the bolt and the nut.
You need to have some tolerance between the parts. 0.2 - 0.35 mm depending on how much the filament shrinks
@@marzouk1577 And so, on Shaper3D, how did you do that ? Do you have "only" to enlarge the nut by 0.35mm ? Or is it something more complex ?
@thecutmaster this is my question because although the video is extremely informative and very professional workflow > if it will not print or thread correctly, my challenge is not solved. Should there be a slight taper on the bolt?

Wow, and I was just so damn baffled about how people were making these screws, next question is how to you make the spot for it to fit in?

This shpar3d subscription right??
That's right!
@@NCADStudio i like the shapr3d but can not work with it, because the subcription metod payment very expensive, i think no problem if pay in one time

Hi i love your design
I have question
Can we design this in trial version of shapr3d??
Tnx
Yes, it can be done. AFAIK all functions are activated in the trial version except that you can not save them in high resolution.
Montaj yapılabiliyor mu bu programda
Only the half thread is subtracted why?
I tried the demo but just couldent get it to do what I wanted, maybe I need better hardware. Tried on a surface 4 pro.
In the free version, is it possible to also see the length of the lines?
Now available in windows early access
sounds easy....is it really?
Pena não ter pra Android! 😢
Класно, дуже

Same size as the bolt body ,you need a tolerance gap ,check out machinest handbook for dimentions.

Hello how to access to the history of the drawing process
Hi christophe jarillot! Unfortunately, it isn't possible to access the history of the drawing process with the current software version.

Mac, iOS, and Windows, not available for Androi yet.
How much this apps, and can i draw for 2D
It costs about $240 per year. You can export models from 3D to 2D drawings. It doesn't have 2D drawings like Autocad.
