It will sound better if you take the second muffler out, just taking the db killer off the slip on won’t make much of a difference as long as you have that lunch box on the bottom.
Chris Walker Kawasaki, just down the road from me. However, I ordered my brand new pre reg 2020 Z900 from Colchester Kawasaki. Got a great deal. Looks a bit of faff, and I think having the hole would drive me nuts with my OCD.🤣 Think I'll just leave mine in. Poor design not letting you remo e the baffles however.
I agree mate although not as much of a faff as removing all the rivets to get the end cap off like some say you have to do. We now have a rubber bung for the hole🤣 and think they not letting you remove them was something to do with the euro 4 or 5 thing. Did you go and speak to the guys at Chris Walkers? they always look after us very well.
@@2wheelbikers311 I got my SX on PCP from Chris Walkers last year, but decided to trade it in for the Z900 on HP instead. Mainly due to the fact I don't foresee touring anytime soon, so sticking to the weekend rides with some occasional get aways bike.😁 Normally id have popped in, but everything is really online at the moment. Colly Kawasaki offered the Performance version for less then the price of the standard 2020 at Chris's, so was a no brainer for me. I'd of probably got it from Chris Walkers had we been allowed to go into the shop, always the way. Had mine 3 weeks, still in my garage with 0 miles on it! Just been doing mods, added new levers yesterday, but broke the bloody clutch switch, so have to order a new one.lol. And def agree, the drill a hole method is a lot less faff then having to remove all the rivets.😳
im having a lot of trouble to remove the DB killer. Already drill the carbon and take off the screw but it dont wanna come out, i put in the bike to try but still imposible.
Hi mate. They are a bit tight, get some pliers on it and give it a right good wiggle whilst pulling, be sure to only be gripping the middle bit. Also try gripping different areas and wiggle like f**k whilst pulling. You could also try spraying a bit of wd40 or similar.
Put the baffle up for sale. Remove the little bolt. Then when someone offers to buy it. That very day it will fall out on the motorway never to be seen again. That worked for me.
@@makush3039 tnx for your reply, if you get it out is it easy to put it back in when you want to or does drilling the baffle out ruin this possibility?
@@2wheelbikers311 I’m starting to become confused on what exhaust tip to buy. I have a 2021 but it seams to be different as the 2019? I’ll have to take it apart when it gets warmer
Eh up marra, brilliant video's getting better all the time.
I just driving here in Thailand with my z900 2019 like you on 3:10 Some driver here have a completely open system, but for my teast to much loud... 😉
nice mod!

Yes it's the wifes bike, she's happy with it, she doesn't want it any louder and the akrapovic looks better than the original 🙂
Going with a full system removes that aswell and makes the sound sound way better! Tho not everyone has that kind of money laying around XD
@@2wheelbikers311 is that just a slip on or full system
@@elvisthewart670 hi mate, it's just the slip on
Theres an Australian chap on UA-cam who has the full akro system... Sounds lovely

Nice one mate, enjoy the bike, let's hope all this crap is over with soon in one way or another 👍
Akrapovich sell a rubber plug to fill that hole. £10 for a bit of rubber/plastic is a a rip off but it’s definitely a cleaner look

Did u made it to take it off? I wonder if its worth to drill the exhaust
Is this the technique suitable for the new z900 2020 akra exhaust? They told me it's really hard to get the baffle out of this one so I let it in..
Don Corleone its easy took me one hour on my z900 akra
