I bought one for $155K plus about 10K more in sales tax. EPA range was 516 miles and it delivered a fabulous ride. Sadly, there are very few service centers so it had to go on a flatbed for days to get minor repairs. Late 2022, it had numerous software bugs without any guaranty of a fix. Worried about these issues plus massive depreciation at that time, we returned it for refund. I will consider Lucid again when servicing improves and prices come down.
We've had a Lucid Air Dream Performance since December 2021. The first 10 months was software hell in an otherwise phenomenal car. However, things began to improve rapidly with the introduction of UX 2.0 in October 2022 and its progeny of frequent updates. We also have a 2021 Model S Plaid (replaced our 2015 Model S P90D). At this point, I actually prefer the total control suite (software plus tactile buttons and controls) of the Lucid over the Tesla. Plus, unlike Tesla, the Lucid has Apple CarPlay (Android Auto is coming), a birds-eye-view parking display, will play USB music sticks, can display two satellite maps for simultaneous zoom-in and zoom-out or different compass directions. Things such as engaging turn signals, picking gear shift direction (Tesla's automatic selection is very dodgy), adjusting temp and fan speeds, adjusting air vents, passenger volume adjustment, etc., is just so much easier in the Air. We live across the state from the two Lucid Service Centers in Florida. Between Lucid's picking up the car and trucking it to a Service Center when required (and leaving a loaner if requested) and their Mobile Service fleet, we have had no problems with service. In fact, it is very much like the great service we initially got with our first Tesla back in 2015 before the introduction of the Model 3 overwhelmed Tesla's service capacity. Moreover, our 2021 Model S -- from a company that began selling cars in 2008 -- has required as much service as our very early-production Lucid (car no. 154). After having owned a Lucid Air for over two and a half years, we are going to be near the head of the line to order a Lucid Gravity Dream Edition SUV to replace our 2018 Honda Odyssey.
@@blakespringpasturemortimer9168 Blake, appreciate your Lucid experience. I too have a model S refresh for comparison and value Lucid steering wheel over lousy yoke with poor horn button. It looks like what a luxury Tesla could be. I like the dash and screens, proper buttons for easy one touch operation a separate navigation screen, a decent instrument area directly in the driver's line of sight. The Teslas never felt premium, this looks like it will be. The pricing of new brand, new models of cars is always a bit tricky, I'm sure they will find their niche. I must look at their model Y rival too. You are a good team reviewing, having a conversation.
As a heavy financial investor in Lucid I too am "hoping lucid sticks around"!! Unfortunately elec markets are not solid enough for this price point. Hopefully their (my) time is still coming 🤞 💵
April is 100% right about the stray bullets and the b pillars. Was out with friends when my friend’s Ford Fusion was hit by a stray bullet and got lodged in the b pillar. 😂😂
A lot of things pop about this in the video, but in person the rear of this car is phenomenal. Not really a lot of other cars look like that, but the list price was insane. Still saw a ton of these in Silicon Valley.

Any more than 250-300 miles of range and you’re just paying for something you’re never going to use. Even on a road trip. The average person only drives 30 miles a day and no one is driving more than 3-4 hours straight on a road trip without someone needing to stop to eat or go to the bathroom.
I live in South East Florida. Very few of these out there.. Charging network is a total pain in the ash.for these cars. We have hundreds of Teslas. We are adding about 6 cyber trucks per day in our area. TESLA has the best charging lucid is by far the best looking ev out there.. good luck finding a reliable charging net work.
Love my Lucid Grand, fantastic car, got a Sapphire on order which will be one of the first in the UK to my knowledge but i get alot of comments on the Lucid Grand.
Difficult for a European like me, but yes...other brands just aren't even trying. Porsche is holding punches as well. There is one brand that blown them away in engineering, Koenigsegg, but their upcoming Gemera isn't a true EV. Full hybrid, 800 hp before you start the ICE. Fours seats and room for 4-5 suitcases, and it still looks like a supercar. I can lust for no other, all other cars rendered nice-to-haves.
My top choices would be Porsche or Audi, but of the EV only manufacturers Lucid and Rivian are top choices to me as well. I'm looking forward to whomever makes the best 2 seat, sporty, EV runabout. I would rather drive something like that every day back and forth to work and save our gas Audi for long trips or carrying cargo. Seriously, give me an affordable electric Miata and that would be my daily.
I've been telling Lucid since 2021 that they need to come up with cheaper Model 3 fighter pronto. Their CEO is so stubborn and since then, they came up with $250K Lucid Sapphire and $100K Lucid Gravity. They just don't get market dynamics.
If I had the money and didn’t live in Chicagoland area. I would buy one. A beautiful car compared to Tesla. It has so much more personality to it. Reminds of the cars from the 40’s especially the two tone color, roof design, clamshell trunk lid and interior details along with fit & finish.
First let me say that I think it’s an incredible car! I have a very small amount of Lucid stock, it has tanked more than $8 a share since I bought it! The “Air” logo kinda looks like it belongs on a microwave
The biggest issue with all these other EV companies is that they are asking way to much and have not back bone to follow up or will prove to be around later for the life of the vehicle and that scares people. Whereas Telsa has already proved it's ground and the existing auto manufactures will always remain as they have been before as they will for now continue to sell fuel consuming vehicles. Lucid in Canada, used, is still over $100K

What year is that Lucid & what state are you in? I bought a brand new 2023 touring in November of 2023 & didn't pay no where near $155,000. Fully loaded $103,642.00!
Since you are putting the burm up around your property. Pave it and also the flat area in front of it. Makes for a nice little racetrack.
Broski really upgraded and people where hating on her in the beginning was so funny 😂
I love that Green K5 BLAZER in the background. VASTLY SUPERIOR to any ev.
In what way? Not handling and rollover protection. One of those killed my neighbor's wife while she was just driving around town.
This video is going to trend, you just watch. April in are her beautiful wonder in a amazing car. And of course Tyler is the click bate ❤. Love you two
These cars are beautiful. I saw one on the road before I knew the brand existed and I was immediately drawn to it.
As soon as they make a suv they’re in business
Should be available soon: ua-cam.com/video/VuTtLwqdPk8/v-deo.html
As a heavy financial investor in Lucid I too am "hoping lucid sticks around"!!
Unfortunately elec markets are not solid enough for this price point. Hopefully their (my) time is still coming 🤞 💵
I have the number to the local food bank you will be visiting when Lucid and all the other small EV's go broke...and they will
April is 100% right about the stray bullets and the b pillars. Was out with friends when my friend’s Ford Fusion was hit by a stray bullet and got lodged in the b pillar. 😂😂
The driving visuals of that car are amazing. I'll bet it's even better when you are behind the wheel.
I got to sit in both the base and the touring at a mall. It felt so nice that car. This is like a Mercedes.
A lot of things pop about this in the video, but in person the rear of this car is phenomenal. Not really a lot of other cars look like that, but the list price was insane. Still saw a ton of these in Silicon Valley.
I wonder what a windshield replacement cost on that car.
I'm sure that most of us Normal Humans with common sense not to buy a useless EV, will never need to find out. 😆
Good Morning Hoovie and Thornie
Yeah April has definitely brought this channel to another level for sure.
Wruff wruff as puppy dog Hoovie rubs himself on the to vibrating seats which they are renaming April Seats ,The April accessory you cant live without 😂
We love you Hoovie . Be careful with this bird
I always buy my cars at least two years old. It's still a brand new car but like you said about half off.
First April wake up from you dream on EV range and price. Hoovie moving that car lift again hope it was cheaper than that first $10000 dollar relocation.
Any more than 250-300 miles of range and you’re just paying for something you’re never going to use. Even on a road trip. The average person only drives 30 miles a day and no one is driving more than 3-4 hours straight on a road trip without someone needing to stop to eat or go to the bathroom.
Pretty cool, but still pretty spendy. Thanks, you two! ✌️❤🙂🇨🇦
12:40 that was 90MPH in mexico on closed roads, 20 years ago, for any prosecutors out there, I was a witness. 😂😂😂
I like the two-tone interior. Lucid rocks!!
Hoovie is not forgetting what kind of trim he’s getting 💯
I laughed so hard when Hoovie rolled over for a full frontal on the massage chair 😂
Honestly a Lucid or a Rivian is the only electric car I'd want to buy
No Normal Human with common sense wants these stupid EV's. 🤣
@@baimunI went to BMW to get an i4-- but I was shopping for an electrified 2 Series which, maddeningly, does not exist.
@@MAGGOT_VOMIT Perfect commuter cars. EV's got you all hot and bothered? little angry man
Got my Lucid Air Grand Touring for $62k - STEAL OF A DEAL best car I've ever had
When they go out of business--as all the smaller EV companies will, you wont feel that way goober
Subbed lol yall are funny but still hit all the facts about the cars. Im about to buy a Lucid and this just solidified the sale.
Looks like date night in the Lucid !
It could be date night for April and Tyler. Thank goodness the Lucid has a large backseat!!
😊😊
I've been telling Lucid since 2021 that they need to come up with cheaper Model 3 fighter pronto. Their CEO is so stubborn and since then, they came up with $250K Lucid Sapphire and $100K Lucid Gravity. They just don't get market dynamics.
What is your range when you tow, say a boat, with your Cybertruck?
Much nicer than the Tesla! For the money I'de take the Cadillac Lyriq. As Always, May God Bless you and yours! 😇
The Hoovie style welcome, was perfect and very funny...
There are several on Auto Tempest under $70k. There are some regular Touring under $60k. A lot have under 10k miles.
These videos NEED to be in 4K!
4K is harder edit
If I had the money and didn’t live in Chicagoland area. I would buy one. A beautiful car compared to Tesla. It has so much more personality to it. Reminds of the cars from the 40’s especially the two tone color, roof design, clamshell trunk lid and interior details along with fit & finish.
You know what I miss on all the new cars? Vinyl roofs! They look so luxurious in my 54 year old self's opinion. 😁
Surely you jest.
@metaljew4456 no I know most people hated them, but I loved them. Weird I know.
Little does April know, Tyler used to have an Onlyfans 😢
That one piece glass almost makes it worth it! It is nice but I don't buy used ads for 80k.
I see Tyler is still working in sales for Eddy's Chevrolet. 😄
Is April dressing to match the car color, like Sarah-n-Tuned?
Just think, Hoovie gets to test drive that! I wouldn't mind having that in my garage! The car would be cool, too. Surely not as fun, though!
Tyler, I'd bet you and I agree that Captain. Janeway was the BEST all-around captain in all the series.
Janeway was definitely the most like a real captain. The others were too soft LOL
First let me say that I think it’s an incredible car! I have a very small amount of Lucid stock, it has tanked more than $8 a share since I bought it! The “Air” logo kinda looks like it belongs on a microwave
It will be 50% lower in another 2 years
Sounds about right. I could see that.
That’s funny. A buddy of mine teases me, when I say roof. Glad I’m not the only one. Lol
Beautiful car that SHOULD (hopefully) stay in business.
Hoovie as got a little bit of Kansas in April now. Ruff!
What channel did she do the weather on?
It’s depreciated so rapidly because everyone heard the car had tiny balls.
oh look at 4:30 - Hoovie is moving out of the hangar. all the cars are off the lift. I already was wondering why his dads Firebird was not up in the air, as usual
