This is the first time I've seen this New Way / Labrie arm combo before. I have to say, that is one magnificent collection body. It has to me one of the most nicely sculpted smooth box shell, that packer looks easy for clean-out, smooth, and effective, plus the hopper is huge! That Labrie arm is in my opinion the best arm on the market. In all the videos I've seen, it never spills any trash, the truck doesn't shake up when the arm moves, and the grabbers are gentle on the cans.
I'm incredibly shocket that I don't see municipailies picking these things up like crazy, if I were a salesman in the industry I would take serious notice of this truck. I would really like to see more videos of this thing if you guys could get more. What a great thing to watch! Thanks guys!
Excellent footage! Love this truck! I must say the LEU is the best CNG chassis to watch IMO. I never get tired of watching the Labrie/New Way Arm! Enjoyed this whole thing man keep up the good work!
Few points of interest: Did Pomona ditch all their Starr's? Glad Mike got a video of one of those. Didn't know they did green waste either! I also saw an FA toter lid that was half missing, I thought FA toters NEVER broke! Great video! Nice to see them upgrade their falling-apart fleet.
Cool video! If I am surprised the city did not purchase an RR. Thanks for the upload! Do you have video of the ACX elliptical Amrep that I saw on your Flickr page?
Excellent footage! Some of the very first video I've seen of the re designed Sidewinder. Completely different setup than the Labrie Right Hand arm. Noticed that there's no pressure when the arm is going against the hopper like Labrie's. I liked the truck a lot, and Blue looks a lot nicer than white on a truck imo. For as slow as Macks claim to be, I thought this one was reasonably fast. Even for CNG also. Smaller tailgate too lol. Cool to see USA made on the truck.
If you might be wondering why that is, this is the true sound of the Cummins ISL-G engine used in almost all CNG refuse chassis'. The trucks around you whine due to a differently mounted pump that runs the hydros for the body. Other than that, pretty much all CNG trucks would sound the same as this one.
It is in fact the side winder and the engineer that designed this arm sold it to both labrie and new way and also a company in Europe Google search New Way Sidewinder
Yeah this is a smooth ASL I like this one better than the labrie personally and they fixed alot about the arm too I think the arm is the best in its style and the body is very user friendly although i really wished Pomona got a bigger tailgate Because i consider my self a connoisseur of nice asses These guys are really nice so after i get done with some missions i could stop by here again Thanks for the comment
Thank You It really looks better than the old white ones The Engineer that Created this arm sold it to labrie and new way No they run them as spares now
