Hey @medicalgarbage I want to know if you will take my diapers and I for disposal to the landfill??? I will arrange for them to take me inside one of your compacted loads for my End-of-life-options act where I can legally choose the method of my death. Only when that time comes for me.... instead of going to the funeral industry!
I was late but the snow background is cool. And, I can still see plastic bags in the recycling they should get sticker-ed and tagged for putting those in there.
Amazing job! My route trucks are now Zero Radius. The drivers like them but they tell me they are terrible at packing recycling. This one looked like it handled decently. You have a new sub!!
Hey thank you! Funnily enough, part of the reason we shot this video was to show the owner of our company/McNeilus how the ZR falls short when packing recycling. Figures it would do perfectly on this run. It normally gets heavily clogged on this route
Looks like the packer isn't traveling its full stroke. McNeilus never has them adjusted properly when they come from the factory they're easy enough to adjust it's a proximity switch on the left side of the body under the packer panel. Adjust it so the packer goes just past the bulkhead an inch or two we even welded angled teeth facing towards the back of the truck to hold material in place not letting it slide back into the hopper made a big difference
@@ericborg9655 Thanks for this reply! I'll bring it up w/ my boss! I'm not the one usually on this specific truck, but I do know that my colleague was having trouble with the prox sensors getting dirty and thus the packer wouldn't go all the way in. You think that could also be contributing? Not huge fans of McNeilus for stuff like this
@@medicalgarbage3575 it could ours would get trash packed in between the prox switch and the metal tab it reads and would eventually bend the tab out so the prox switch wouldn't read anymore throwing the stroke out of whack

If you’re hopper wasn’t so full all the time you might not leave so many cans with cardboard and stuff in them but cool video the hopper angle is the way to go
Medical Garbage Is it better to empty the truck daily regardless of if it’s full or not? Because starting the next day with a partially full truck will force you to break route to dump before the day is over? Just curious
What irritates me is that some of the bins the driver doesn't shake enough. Like one can; It had a few boxes in it but they didn't come out like the top layer of the recycling in the bin did. They put it down like half full still, drove away like ain't no thing. Not sure if they didn't see it or just didn't care. Otherwise, cool video!
peter loch The reason for that is because the hopper cam was broken when this video was shot so the driver couldn‘t see if the bin was already empty. Please think before writing comments like that.

Awesome hopper footage please make more vids!!
Thanks for the feedback! I'll be sure to get more of this angle in the future 😄

I totally agree. If we did that, we'd have to tag like 80% of customers ;) but that's what needs to happen to make a change
Awesome footage!! I love the hopper view way better than anything else, so I would love to see more of that! Great job and thank you for posting!
It's great to hear your feedback! :) I'll be sure to get more of this angle in the future
Looks like very clean recycle!
We're lucky to have the best customers who are dedicated to doing it right 😁
Almost except for plastic bags that shouldn't belong in recycling

Great Video! I'd like to see some more in the future!
I'll definitely try my best to make that happen :)
Medical Garbage what other trucks are in the fleet?

awesome video but not quite sure I like the arm view. Hopper Hopper Hopper! Lol

Unfortunately hopper camera was broken, so I couldn't see when stuff was jammed in the bottom of the can there
Figured as much awesome vids though
On an average day, how many trips you make to the transfer station to empty the truck.
Just once! Sometimes you don't have to go, say if you did garbage today but didn't fill the truck and have garbage tomorrow

You left a bunch of trash in the bin at 10:12.
yes he is slow in his little pea-brain did it 3-4 times
Yeah because it’s stuck in there . They need to break down Or make it loose.
Was this the Freightliner Zero Radius?
M2 mcneilus zero radius
Why do u sometimes leave the grabber arms up?
easy to make you talk loser idiot
Its so the arm dosent bit cars its manditory for all companys that use zero radius trucks
So nice video but it seems like the compacter could run more or does it just pack after every can dumped.......thanks
Runs every time a cans dumped! It'd be cool if it ran more, I'm surprised it can pack it all in
Medical Garbage
You can’t set the Packer to run twice per dump?
I see a few of the cans didn't get emptied all the way
Indeed 😭 hopper camera is broken

This thing sucks at packing from what I can tell
Oh no! Not Mr. Pumpkin head!
