I often buy the gold/ultimate edition for a lot of Ubisoft games, but don’t think I’ll bother here. If the year 1 pass included more locations (eg islands or tracks) I may have been interested, but just cars? Pass, especially as the Y1 pass will probably be reduced in no time. I can hold out for the extra 3 days.
I was planning on buying the gold edition.. but I’ve come to the conclusion it will be on sale very soon no point in spending full price.

I don’t know about “very soon” but maybe you could see a Christmas sale. The hype is pretty big for this game and I think it will be popular for the first year at least. So, it will go on sale eventually but how long do you want to wait.
@@lukefarnes2524 Christmas is right around the corner.. why wouldn’t they have a sale? They will probably have one even before Christmas… no point in getting the gold edition either when everything is released on a monthly basis.
@@MilitiaGamingCommunity I just don’t see the rush when the game is missing content, that will eventually all be in there for a discounted price. I’m not itching to play this game anymore after the beta.. just my opinion tho
The Gold Edition costs $30 more because it's $10 for next gen upgrade and the other $20 are for Year 1 Pass and early access. So if you wouldnt get the next gen upgrade (you can play on both Ps4 and Ps5 with it) it would cost you $90.
I bought the standard edition. 3 days early access isn’t worth it and also there is only 2 truly exclusive cars the rest you can get through playlists. The charger hellcat and chevelle is exclusive. The m4 competition you can get by completing a playlist (gold edition)
Note to mention. Every single car will be available. Carpass gives you 30 days early access. The only exclusive items are vanity and clothes.

If you get The Crew Motorfest via Ubisoft+, you essentially get the ultimate edition. If Ubisoft+ expires, will you still have the 2 exclusive cars from the ultimate edition and the cars from the year 1 pass, if you decide to buy the standard edtion later on? Will you still have the process then?
You won’t, the additional content in the ultimate edition enables as a DLC, so if your Ubisoft+ expires and you buy the standard edition it will disable the additional content and lock the cars that you got in the ultimate edition, even if you have progress on them. Works the same with Rainbow Six Siege.
Your progress will remain, just the DLCs and additional content will lock

man i can only hope further monetization isnt changed from the crew 2, because right off the bat this pricing seems crazy. full price is fine because i understand the game became much more than originally intended, but jumping on the 70 dollar industry trend for a game that (in the announcement) they said was originally supposed to be an expansion?? seems a bit excessive lol.
also i remember when people used to spend 120 dollars for a game and theyd get like a giant box with figurines of characters and a giant book of behind the scenes game development material and lore books and posters lol. weve come a long way
Hey trigger, I have a tricky question about the cross gen bundle, after having been lent the game for a few months I decided to purchase it in a few weeks for my ps4 (preferably physical copy) but since my cousin has got a brand new PlayStation 5, I'm wondering if the cross-gen bundle will allow him to have the game in my account's library there as well while I get to keep the disc for me. Will the physical cross-gen bundle allow that or will we have to purchase the digital version?

I preordered the most expensive one on Xbox One. It is $170 AUD. I got it because it obviously has the next gen upgrade. It also has the car pass thing. And if I didn’t get it I probably would’ve never bought the 718 and civic even tho I like those cars. Yeah it’s dumb. Spent really money rather then in game money to get cars you wouldn’t usually get but it is also the vanity items you get. I don’t have many of them being transferred from TC2 so why not lol.

What is not clear, is what those vehicles actually are?
Are they just skins, or do they have any gameplay advantages?
Can you get "normal" versions of those cars in game?
If you can, how easy is it to get those cars (are you bypassing a bunch of grind?)
there are always normal versions of each car which you will be able to buy with bucks or crew credits
These special editions do have slight differences in performance based on my experience in The Crew 2.
definitely bypassing a lot of grinding, tc2 most cars were 300,000+ so if you add it up that way you’re saving around 7.5-10M in game and yes there will be slight advantages based on the car, if it’s anything like TC2 wide bodys will have an affect on handling but if it’s more in depth spoilers and kits should make a difference too however i can’t see there being any advantage on top speed or grip just because it’s a special edition.
Vehicle import from the Crew 2 means that owners of the previous game don't need the season/gold pass. I''m a very recent owner of the Crew 2, and the game tells me I can import 32 vehicles to Motorfest.
The Year 1 Pass has new cars the previous game doesn't.

Im in Australia and the Gold edition is 150 bucks, Cross gen bundle is 110 bucks, standard edition is 95 bucks and the ultimate edition is 170 bucks what should I go for I want the gold but it's so expensive

I play like insider and closed beta tester and im not so excited to play from first day and pay big money for that, exceptionally for unreasonable high prices of gold and ultimate versions!

If it's only the Fitted Edition of the car you're talking about, it's an Ultimate-exclusive. The cost might be justified if you're a fan of Fitted (real-world Hawaiian apparel brand).
Wouldn't it make the most sense to sign up for Ubisoft+ subscription for $15 and you get the ultimate pass stuff, then buy the standard edition of game after release and then cancel subscription? Then you get the Ult edition for essentially $75?? Am I missing something?

Gold edition for 3 reasons.
1. FH5 put me out of love with videogames in general since a month after its launch. It wasn't the main reason, but was the final nail in a long line of disappointing games. Motorfest, however, has rekindled the magic and I want to jump back in as early as possible after nearly 2 years without gaming. Early access is a selling point.
2. I am a collector in racing games, but a snooty one. I only collect factory vehicles, seeing these special edition vehicles as pointless wastes of garage space. So The car pass is a must, and the Ultimate edition is an easy pass for me.
3. I never played the summits in TC2, so I never got any underglow whatsoever. That isn't likely to change in Motorfest. So having at least one underglow right off the bat will be nice. Just so long as its a solid colour and not a projection of the words "Gold Edition" or something like that.

Eh, one of those truly exclusive cars is a better model of the one I own IRL. So still worth it for me. At least until the game gets a second post-2016 model Charger, then it won't be so worth it.

The actual game play I could adjust too that’s no issue. I could be the only one in the world that feels this way and if others enjoy unbound that’s great. It’s just not for me trigger

@@MilitiaGamingCommunity That's why i wrote 2.2 instead of 2,same core,same physics,same everything repacked in a different packaging,sold as new.but inside its the same old with different art direction and some facelift,for someone like me who bought TC2 for 60$ ,droped it after a month cause it didnt had pvp(only after9 months it got added to it),i dont see why i should pay this time 70$ for the same old gen game but in 2023,i rather buy something new,and im not a content creator so yeah we have to agree to dissagree,respect for the video noneless👍
