Can't wait til next month. I think it was nienber or rassie said it at the wc - Ireland are South Africa's bogey team but the wc is Irelands bogey tournament. So true. Cmon Ireland 🇮🇪 👏
I was looking forward to the sa/ireland test series since the wc. Now the boks will be without Kitshof, Wiese, van Staden, Moodie, Willemse and arendse. Without Vermeulen and Wiese I dont even know whos going to play 8. What a shame
@@Kransduif We are missing Hanson, Henderson, Ringrose and now Keenan...so I feel your pain. Shame we are missing key players on both sides but there ya go.
Both Ireland and South Africa share a similar history of understanding what's necessary to get people to come together after conflict. The good Friday agreement with Ireland and the truth and reconciliation with South Africa. We both know bravery comes from those who risk it all for peace. That being said bring on the war Respect to South Africa after the game
Jim you’ve got to try and interview Kwagga Smith. Battle Stats, transition from sevens, Olympic medal and then success with the Boks, it would be great content. The media go on so much about the size of South Africans yet he’s under 6ft around 95kg and holding his own. Arguably one of the most underrated players going.
I feel the Boks will overcome the Irish. No disrespect to the Irish - but what Damien mentioned is correct. A full South African team clicking at home against a good Irish team - but not a full Irish one. It’ll come down to some close moments - and the advantage will be to the team most bonded / passionate to represent their country.
DeAllende seems to be going out of his way to create grievances and backlash. Presumably he is trying to create a siege mentality amongst the Saffies. Fair enough
Jim love the show but you and DDA are so wide of the mark on bringing in Nationality and "foreign" rhetoric as I'm sure Jim you are aware of the history and makeup of the Irish team so it's really a low point that you'd travel down that road bitterly disappointed in the interview.

Us SAFFA's were disappointed when the coach of the BI Lions caused a stir about our Director of Rugby legally playing waterboy, when one of the BI Lions assistant coaches was playing the same role and had been doing so for years under the same coach at Wales - still doing it now, as we saw during the 6N lol. But World Rugby indicated that it was against the spirit of the game when they altered the laws to combat the practice and we've had to deal with it. That is no different from Augustin Pichot of World Rugby stating categorically that the residency period was to be extended to 5 years to combat the exact practice that Ireland followed. Eligibility laws were put in place to allow legitimate immigrants to represent their adopted country (think Gregan, Pocock, Catt, Mtawarira, Vunipola, Faletau), but Ireland exploited the loophole by luring new talent into their pool, literally handpicking surplus players from around the world. It is against the spirit of the game, whether you find that disappointing or not and bears mentioning in a rugby discussion.
