Some people sing songs, Elvis lived them. The greatest ever.
They called him to the Army at the peak of his fame and career. He served our country for 2 yrs. and made to Sergeant!!!!
No?😂
Elvis was so many things together. So many combinations. Unlike any artist in history ,his amazing voice and charisma. No wonder he was voted the number one entertainment artist in the world in the 20th century and a singer who sold over a billion records worldwide, more than any singer or band in history.
By the way Polk salad is a real delicacy in the south, also Elvis loved to play around with his audience and through his movement's on stage would command his band. When he put the Mic in his mouth he was just playing around with the feedback. You got to remember Elvis came out in 1956 at the age of 21 and almost every song he performed was a hit.
I'm as southern as the day is long, I've never heard of Polk Salad, but I have eaten swamp cabbage.
@@evelynmabe7877the problem w-this is that many, many reactors do not understood just what Poke Sallet (correct spelling here) is & that it comes from the poisonous Pokeweed plant which can be eaten when picked in springtime; most people from the northern or eastern parts of the U.S. aren't familiar w-it & just won't get it
That's entertaining! Noone is like him! More Elvis please!
You are so cute !! The Chick in the front row gave him a note 😃 I blessed to see Elvis about 14 times ! One time I was center stage with my two daughters and Elvis kissed my daughter !!
how old are you? what man calls a woman 'a chick'. SMFH
You must see Suspicious Minds 1970. Best Entertainer of all time. He went in Army for 2 years. I could tell you ALOT of things about Elvis.i have listened to him since 1956 n saw him in 1973 Hawaii. I give all of his songs 100,000 % Elvis put ALOT of energy in this song so he was exhausted n could not get all the repeated words out.You Try It. Elvis also got 3 Emmy Awards for gospel songs. He received the president metal of Honor which is the highest award a civilian can receive. Many, many entertainers said if there was not Elvis they would never had made it. He sang over 700 songs n sold out all his concerts n sold over 1 billion records
3 Grammy awards for Gospel.
Elvis was awesome he can do so much all at the same time what an entertainer the note was from a fan he liked to fool about as you could see and yes his band were amazing a 10 for me stay safe 😷✌
Suspicious Minds live Vegas must see
Haha been watching this clip lately, then came across this vid lol.
Yes, he was one cool dude for the day, legend😎👍🏼
"he was one cool dude for the day"? Elvis was cool for any day/ year.
Nice reaction. You have many great songs to chose from that shows why he is the King and the GOAT
Elvis is conducting the band
we love you king Elvis....frm. Philippines
The note he was reading was from a woman in the audience he had met while working the crowd before his performance started. The women were captivated by him
No I am pretty sure it was not from a female in the crowd. Unless you were part of his teams and that is what he had told you. But it seems instead it was just a note he took out from his belt to remind him of the next lines (maybe he expected he might forget those lines in particular, and so he brought a reminder).
Elvis was in the Army from March 1958 til March 1960. He met Priscilla in Germany.
Elvis is the best
He was reading the list of celebrities that were in the audience so he could introduce them
Hi, I'm from Texas, I like your reactions. There's over 600 more songs of his. I'll be requesting a lot. Thanks!!!!
With Elvis it was more of the ‘moves’ than dancing...nothing like the overdone exaggerated routine so call dance moves like the newer performers do...god, it’s like they are at a drill camp...you know sometimes less is more...Elvis was way too cool for those exaggerated dance moves.
Awesome cool song, pure entertainment he was, good jam 🤘😎🤘🎤🔥🔥🔥🔥
The one, and only.
I played this song in the first band I was in. In the beginning he was just messing around....hip 2 3 4...he said he learned it in the army... good to see young people discovering great legends....
The GOAT ❤💯🙏 amen 💪👍☝🇵🇷🇺🇸🌹⭐💎 the 👑of music.🙋 thanks for sharing god bless you and your family please be safe and careful stay healthy 🙏 amen.
Elvis Presley served in United States Army from 1958 to 1960..
Hello from England
The day Elvis died was 2 days before my 12th birthday being a FAN for 44 years OMG
ELVIS was and still is MY HERO. Strong word but its true. I cannot say anyone before, during or since i would put such a strong word to. The music and entertainment world of the last 35 + years LEAVES ME COLD.
I love every song he sang. They are ALL my FAVOURITES and there are many songs. But this one is towards the top.
We are so blessed that now we can look at media like UA-cam and people like you who post "stuff"
I "found" SPA GUY" channel on the candlelight vigil on the 15th August and since i have been trying to catch up with his videos. I have learnt a lot.
Something you may not know
Colonel Tom Parker was born in Holland 26th June
Vernon Presley died 26th June
Elvis did his last concert 26th June
!!!!!!
2:17 He said 'I learned that in the army,' and yes, he was also in the army. Served 1958 in Germany.
hahahahaha your dog loved it too !!
The more you get into Elvis you'll learn he was a comedian in his act at appropriate times regarding some songs. One of his biggest hits was a lovely touching love song ARE YOU LONESOME TONIGHT, once one time in the studio he was in a particularly mischievous mood and changed the lyrics to "Do you look at your bald head and wish you had hair... He really was Mr entertainer and gave 100% in the studio and on stage. RIP fella you are loved x
Elvis never claimed to be a dancer and always said he just naturally moved to the music. However, there are videos of him live doing some amazing sideways moonwalk type moves and his movie dance scenes, from jailhouse tock and viva Las Vegas especially, are pretty cool.
More Elvis PLEASE!!!
This is called Entertainment at its best
I would like to see a reaction video of What now my love,by Elvis from his 1973 Aloha from Hawaii concert
He conducted his band with his movements. He told you it is a weed in the south much like a turnip green, the leaves are boiled, rinsed then cooked in bacon fat or lard, and sometimes onion and egg are added to it. You should never eat the Pokeweed raw it is poisonous and belongs to the nightshade family. Elvis did more on stage then just sing, he entertained.
The one question you asked was he learned in the army , the note was from a chick in the audience !! Love your beautiful look !! It’s a ten !!!
This performance is part of a documentary film called “Elvis: That’s The Way It Is” (1970)
It covers his rehearsals for his 1970 engagement at the International Hotel in Las Vegas. I highly recommend you stream it, it’s an amazing film to watch.
The part where he’s reading from a piece of paper is because he kept forgetting a few lines for “Polk Salad Annie” which is explained earlier in the film during rehearsals.
Woman would have gone crazy today to! He was just something else
I thought I was going crazy til she said "I'm sorry about my dog" 😂🤣😂
Elvis was the best entertainer of all time and the most beautiful man that ever lived Elvis just loved to have fun he had a great sense of humour great reaction love ❤️ from Denise in England 🏴🏴🏴💖👍😘👋XX
Yes he was in the army and he was a conservative too
the note was from a fan a few songs before this and its got her name, phone no and room no
I always thought it was the names of the celebrities in the audience that he’d introduce soon after.
no charlie hodge would advise Elvis who was in the audience
I think it was the last verse of the song
the note makes its first appearance when was singing Sweet Caroline where he shows it to a fan & tucks it away into his pocket as if to say 'dont worry ive got your number here" thats my guess
@@joeraytony except for the time when Elvis asked Charlie who was in the audience in the middle of his show while on stage
Yes elvis was drafted into the Army from 58 to 60 just after he finished King creol
Like this performance a lot, 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👐
Thank you Tina, their was only one Elvis,so he had his own standarts.
Wery talanted singer.no body can realy impersonate him.Thank you elvis.
Elvis: Explaining what Polk Salad is.
You: Talking through Elvis’ explanation.
Also You: What is Polk Salad?
🤣🤣
I couldn't understand what he was saying lol it sounded very slurred to me 😅 but I looked it up lol
@@TinyMA maybe b/c you wouldn't stop talking.
I'm a big Elvis fan I've been my whole life you two need to leave her alone do you hear me she did a really good job you two should be a shame yourself leave her alone if you read this message don't let them to get you down they're unhappy people and they're jealous of you and they're just trying to bring you down you keep your head up high and you stay strong and don't give up on your dreams and you don't have to explain yourself to people like that you just ignore them and stay strong you're amazing
You notice Elvis' hand movements. You should know, Elvis did not sing along with the band, but the bandplayed along with him. Those little movements you see had their practical use as well.
lso cant stop loving you.
2:24 American singer and actor Elvis Presley served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960. At the time of his enlistment, he was widely regarded as the most well-known name in the world of entertainment....During his service, Presley's life was affected in many ways. Not long before he was transferred to West Germany, his mother, Gladys Presley died of a heart attack brought on by acute hepatitis and cirrhosis at the age of 46. While he was living in Bad Nauheim, he met his future wife, Priscilla Beaulieu. He also became reliant on barbiturates and stimulants. Due to this unhealthy addiction, Presley and Beaulieu divorced in 1973. This same addiction partially contributed to his death at the age of 42 in 1977
Beautiful reaction, I knew you would love it. Would you check out One night with you or memories from 68 comeback special. I promise you will enjoy them
the note was the lyrics to the song. It was a newer song for him. so he kept notes for songs on him. He stated it in an interview one time.
Great reaction could you please do trouble by Elvis and always a 10 thank you 🤔🇬🇧
The man had whatever "it" is. Probably was reading the room number of a female fan.
my recollection...he ACTUALLY FORGOT THE WORDS.!!!
When he does that thing with the mic and his mouth to create a little feedback bloop oh, it was a joke he would play on his sound man every once in a while to keep him on his toes. It would hit the sound man with his headphones on with a pretty good short burst of feedback, laugh.
Oh my God your dogs are almost bargain on beat lol
Polk Salad looks like Kale or Spinach especially if you cook it. Elvis 'felt' the music when he sang.
Elvis singing Love me tender ln concert is one to watch. Thank you.
Elvis served in the army and also knew karate.
Uh oh. She got completely lost from the beginning. U have to listen to what he's saying. Down in Louisiana there's this plant that looks something like a turnip greens. Everybody calls it Polk Salad. Polk Salad Annie. Hey they got ya granny. One of his most exciting, electrifying songs.
the problem w-this is that many, many reactors do not understood just what Poke Sallet (correct spelling here) is & that it comes from the poisonous Pokeweed plant which can be eaten when picked in springtime; most people from the northern or eastern parts of the U.S. aren't familiar w-it & just won't get it
it's not about movement or beats, he just had a very masculine energy which 90% of men don't have.
Elvis was more of a Bump & Grind mover than a dancer. Watch him do "Hound Dog" Live on Milton Berle's show June 5 1956; he really dug into that one and tore the place apart.
Elvis didn't dance, he gyrated.
He was a GI he served
lo e this song 🎵
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Alot of the moves have karate influences in them
I find what the lass says interesting. Ie Elvis hearing the beat and getting his timing absolutely `bang on.` There is a film ( made, I think in about 1984 ) conserning the life of Mozart - called Amadeus. In it Mozart will notice even the tiniest of `none timing.`
In the early 1960`s, of course, Elvis made a film with Ann - Margret ( I think it was Viva las Vegas ) when Ann ( a Professionally trained Dancer ) did a `duet` with Elvis, "Come on Everybody..." At the final drum roll in that song Elvis hits the timing right on its head, whilst Ann is a little late.
As for the song, there`s a rarer version of Polk Salad Annie available here in YT * Elvis - Polk Salad Annie ( One of the most charismatic...)* where he himself questions the concept, reckoning it makes no sense. The quality of the film in that video is a shame, because he was brilliant in singing that song then.
Polk salad is, I understand, a real root vegetable.
Serious funk licks and bass on this joint!
E L V I S
🔥
He said I learned that in the Army.
Polk Salad look like a turnip green and Elvis was looking at the third verse in that piece of paper.
He said it Lois like a turnip green
Thnk ... I want dance hehe love so much ❤️ thnk from 🇧🇷 Brazil
He was reading a note from a girl 👍😉
The Drummer Though.
He controls the band and singers...they're following him as the conductor
He said what polk salad was at the beginning of the song, it's a plant we have in the South. The original version is better to me then his cover of the song

Polk salad us referring to a plant that grew down south.
He told you what it was in the beginning....looks like a turnip green....grows wild....everyone calls it polk salad 🥗

O Elvis Presley estava muito a frente do seu tempo acho que ele está em 2034 ou mais muito louco Elvis is live
What is Polk Salad? …….. he explained it in the beginning of the song

They called them gyrations back in the day.
The most handsome American singer and the only good looking singer I’ve seen until now….
That was a note from a lady. Fan.
Polk salad is a wild vegetable grown in the country that poor people ate if they have nothing else
now ,try if i can dream live from the 1968 tv special white suite version, then what now my love live from, 1973 aloha from hwai. 🎸🎼🎵🎶🎸🎤🎧
Elvis Bein Elvis
Elvis 10 out of 10. Dog 1.
Yeah, he needs to work on his harmonies 😂
That’s why he was loved. He was spontaneous. This was a fun song and he was having a good time. He enjoyed getting the bands and audience reaction to his uncontrollable humor. People call his moves dancing but it was a response to the music. His band followed his moves and he lead them by his body moves but they never knew when he was going to do certain moves. In Vegas he did two shows a night for 5 weeks without a day off. He wanted his shows to be fresh and gave his fans a special experience.
Sorry most us work. We don't judge n sit!
I was born and raised in, "The South," and I've never heard of anyone eating, "Polk Salad." Have any of you ever heard of anyone being so poor, that they had to eat it?
Yeah. My great granny used to pick it and fry it up with onions, lard and tomatoes (and sometimes hot peppers when they were available). Quite tasty.

Dog barking spoiled it, thanks.
Hey! Please reaction Skryptonite pleaseeee
he might pull out some watermelon and have a snack
React to inna :read my lips
Please react to morat
Lord Girl , Do you need educated
Thank you for your reaction but 1. Poke Sallet is a weed from the poisonous Pokeweed family - can be eaten if picked @ right time in spring; 2. Hut 2-3-4 is marching cadence from his days in the Army. 3. You really should stop talking over Elvis while he's performing -- you're cutting into the little things he says & does & you're missing things by going over him & it is disruptive.
Don't be so academic.....it is fun.
