I live in Tokyo and usually when they say the train is stopped due to “injury” it means someone killed themselves on the track. It halts the whole train line for awhile. Happened just the other day :( not that uncommon

@dfquartzidn6151 the way I understand is, you are on the edge of dying because of your injury. Think they both jumped infront of the train and help him get out of this situation, they want to cross over, he is just unlucky and gets stuck with them.
@@zlotywest860 Okay so, basically he almost died but those two actually did die and in amidst of escaping, he ended up helping two souls cross over after jumping in front of the train he was riding.
The sheer amount of jumpscares the editor alone gave me.

I see a lot of comments saying their art style has "improved" and that the Playstation 1 era graphics were "distracting," but I couldn't disagree more. their choice of an era of graphics for each game is deliberate, and meant to evoke the atmosphere of games of that time, which Japan's gaming market remembers very well. they could have gone with modern, current graphics from the very beginning, but that's just not a priority compared to creating the atmosphere they want

Has Chilla's ever said why their English translations are often so wonky? It's not like they don't have people who could help them out. Is it on purpose?
Deep vein thrombosis or also known in medical terms as DVT is when a blood clot forms in one of the major veins in your legs. Taking aspirin or a blood thinner can help. Often elevating the legs can help as well. It’s not always caused by long travels.
It can be caused by heart failure, poor circulation, medication treatment, or genetics. It’s just random. A person can even have DVT if they exercise consistently.
Elevating your legs AFTER getting a DVT can help turn it into a PE or ischemic stroke. Bad idea

It’s one of the most difficult procedures to perform as your veins and arteries can be very tiny. Usually the first step is to use a blood thinner such as aspirin, heparin or warfarin (there are many others too). If this does not work, another thinner may be tried, but the last resort is the thrombectomy.

Fun fact: The child explaining the rules literally was like "sorry I suck at explaining." But the English translation said just "duh!".
Also a few of his lines didn't get translated to English.
Edit: The time stamp is 11:07. A more accurate translation of that line would be "It could be that my explanation was bad/sucked"

Seems like the team needs a few more Eng first Language speakers 😂❤ they're doing so well though! The translation for some of their older games was ROUGH
EDIT: This comment used to be about how I wished that The Closing Shift had sleek and modern graphics like this game, but my mind has been changed. Supposedly, the old-style graphics were a deliberate choice (which a lot of people liked) and the developers’ artistic intent was simply lost on me.

it's the shocking cleanliness of some of the carts isn't it? homicidal ghosts, red light/green light monsters, and human bodies folded into shapes they shouldn't be? normal. but cleanliness? weird.

PT started it all, then I'm on observation duty brought up the concept of checking for anomalies
@@pixazelz definitely, but exit 8 introduced ((or popularised?)) the whole "turn back if you spot anomalies" dynamic, which is what all of these new games are taking from it. it's so interesting to see the evolution, first pt (looping) → observation duty (anomalies) → exit 8 (turn back/go forward)

i love how i just watched someone else play this game and they had so many mistakes and anomalies😂 Then Jack here breezed through like the first half. Although its interesting to see certain scenes i didn’t see in the other playthrough! I love that!

It feels really weird with the better models though. The isolation and "off"ness of the other people lended another air of spoopy to these games. Still a great installment, but I kinda miss the creepy people lol

Analog Horror stuff like Mandela Catalogue has really shown the potential of it
@phos927 It doesn't work in all indy horror games, but Chilla has a way of using it that is almost a signature at this point. This game felt like someone else made it and Chilla just produced it. It's still a pretty decent game.

Pretty close! I'm not sure what you mean by the clot bursting though. It can kill you if it dislodges and gets trapped in your lungs (PE, pulmonary embolism) or in your brain (ischemic stroke). In either case, the safest place for it is in your legs, and lifting them as shown in game is a TERRIBLE idea

It's also horrible. Had 3 in my right leg and 1 in my left a few years ago. My right leg is screwed up and will swell for the rest of my life because of the damage. I don't recommend.
My granda had a blood clot deep in his leg after an accident. He was in hospital so long that the clot traveled to his heart and killed him.
